Oh well!! I got to wait until 7 to watch the show today. I heard I have not missed anything but I want to see for myself. lol

HAPPY HUMP DAY!!
I'm trying to get going this morning. Wednesday's at work are my busiest, but just had to holler at my posting pals.

I do have a request for the family of a small child in my area. My co-worker Bobby lost his great-nephew (age 4) on Sunday. The funeral is today. There has been a lot of confusion surrounding this. The child's mother had full custody of him and her other two children. The father has never been an active part of the chilren's lives, but has had the mother retrained from being a part of planning the funeral. The other two children are with their grandmother (Bobby's sister) under the scrutiny of the Department of Human Resources (child custody). The child was born with a deformity in his heart and lungs and has been ill most os his life. The father now wants to say that the child has been neglected! The mother is struggling to do the best she can for the children and medical attention HAS been provided, along with a loving family. It is so sad to see children that are sick.

Again, thank you all for your prayers for this family as they adjust to life without this special member.

In re: the ***spoiler*** upcoming illness of Summer on Y&R, the abuse scenario that it appears they will incorporate into the show just plain SUCKS! As many posters have said in different ways, DO NOT GIVE ANYONE ANY IDEAS TO BUILD ON TO CAUSE INJURY TO A CHILD!

CindiAnn - How very sad for the family of the little guy who passed away. It's bad enough to have to deal with the illness of a child but to also have to deal with all the other issues at the same time is really heartbreaking. I will keep the family in my prayers knowing that in time, they will have peace.

;) Lomille - There's no reason for you to think you need to apologize any more. You did what you thought you should do at the time in contacting Candace and there's nothing wrong with that. You did apologize many times over and if there are others who can't let it go, the problem is theirs and not yours. Please keep on posting because if you don't, you will be very much missed. Your thoughts and opinions are interesting to read and others might agree or disagree but don't take it personally because it's not personal. To disagree is simply to disagree and everybody has that right so long as they don't make it personal. It's pretty great that we live in America where we have that right. Glad you're here so let's let it go now. LOL

Frist of all - thanks to all of you for your prayers for the family of my friend.

I spoke with Bobbby (my coworker) this morning and he said that the funeral service went well yesterday. The mother was released and all complaints against her were dropped. She was there to say her good-byes to her son. I told Bobby that I had mentioned the situation to y'all and he sends thanks to al of you as well.

As Paul Harvey used to say, tho', the father was the 'dumb criminal." After the graveside service, he was served with an arrest warrant for failure to pay child support and have the children covered under his health insurance policy, plus some other outstanding traffic fines. (His child by his current wife is covered.) After making such a scene, he is one that got his just dues.

What happened to many of the regular posters on the - oh, you know what I mean but I don't know what you call it - where we all post our thoughts about the show? So many of the regulars weren't there on Friday but maybe many were on vacation. Are we boycotting the show because of the sick, sex-obsessed story lines and maybe also the gay story lines along with the dark, mentally ill ones? If anybody is up for it, so am I. It would be nice that if we did boycott, TPTB would get the hint but I really think they don't care because they're all caught up in their own nonsense. If we want to, though, count me in. I'd rather we boycott before we stop watching altogether and before long at all, there will be no show. Maybe they don't care about that either.

Don't anyone be fooled about some posters saying they are leaving the boards...not true. They are reading and posting when they feel like it..but they are not gone. Say something "controversial" and see how soon you get a response. lol

As I was told weeks ago when someone once told me off on the Daily Boards...these postings mean a lot to some folks. We are friends and we need each other..it's like a family. So, don't be fooled, families stick together.
