This weather must kill you business... or make it better because there is nothing else to do.... Thanks DL2W... the birthday was good and the weather IS killing me. When it rains like this they call me and say do not come in....ughh. And to top it all off...this show Y&R is killing me as well. I am sort of sorry I read any spoilers because I feel I am wasting my time watching..! I really am thinking I am going to stop and not post for a while. It is insulting to us as viewers the crap the writers are handing us. What is the alternitive? We are actually running out of things to discuss on the updates...it is the same old things...keeping score between Phyllis and Sharon...Now Nikki is gone...This site brags it is the most viewed and the most participated maybe boycotting will send a message somewhere...??? I do not know the answers but I know I am fed up. Sorry for the rant...you have my email...drop me a line some time...or come and see me at the beach maybe your husband would love a Paddy's reunion...I am 10 buildings from Paddy's..! Have a great weekend...! Peace out.! |

I have to ask is 55 in you post name your year of birth? We did not get hail but we did get some pretty good thunder boomers...the cat was under the bed all day....poor little guy...Did you guys have hail..? We are coastal so it is usually a bit warmer here...not sure if that makes a difference or not..??? Yes 55 is the year I was born... Hey.....there's nothing wrong with 55! I was born then too. I think it was a good year:) My aching bones disagree with that comment. You are so right....55 was a great year...and I believe I would be feeling great if it we not for that dam menopause..!!! LOL I know what you mean. I don't take meds for the hot flashes, just natural stuff. Works most of the time. But then sugar will give me hot flashes too! I spent my day today on a 2 hour drive [each way] to see a Dr that specializes in Bio Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy. Now that is a mouth full...! I have tried everything...have not slept in 3 years...at least it feels that way. This has to work. there is nothing left to try! Oprah did a show about it but of coures it cost and arm and a leg and perhaps a kidney...lol The Dr says it takes 3 months to get the med levels right. Pray for me and everyone else around me in case it does not work..!!! please..!!!! How did you make out with that? |

Quote kaycountrygal: glassldy55 & others: What are your hobbies? glassldy said hers is stained glass. Mine is or was scrollsaw woodwork. I was pretty good with it but my eyesight got worse & I dont do much of it anymore. The photo of chihuahua is one I cut from wood. BTW I've been through menopause; used to sweat all the time - NOT a great feeling. Thank Goodness, it finally stopped. It is a beautiful day in NC. We also had rain on & off last week. Hope all of you have a great week. I enjoy posting with you folks. Kay 10:33a.m. Hi Kay, MY hobbies are flower gardening, riding with my husband on his Harley, and I used to like rollerblading with my kids, but they are grown and I haven't attempted THAT in a while. SO, basically anything outdoors. I love the beach. I live in Massachusetts |

Quote kaycountrygal: PEOPLE WHO WORK IN OFFICE: I'm curious. How do you all manage YR posts at work?? Doesnt your boss ever notice what you're doing? or does s/he assume you're typing re work? I remember when I worked in an office & there was no way I would have been posting re a soap because (1) I didnt have time & (2) afraid I would be fired if caught. Just wondering. Kay 4:17pm I just keep it minimized, but I have my own office...and I can hear people comming.... |

CindiAnn - Congratulations on your new little guy in your family. What is his first name? I hope that's not too bold of me to ask but new babies are so exciting. |

Quote DL2W: Quote CindiAnn: I hope everyone is having a great day and will have wonderful weekends! It is hot here (N.Alabama). Like Blue's area - supposed to approach the century mark with weather - heat index 105 possible. In reading posts re: opinionated's comments yesterday - I just ignored her/his b.s. My grandmother always told me to not fuel the fire - it's not worth the energy. In other "NEWS" I have a new great-nephew that was born on Monday - 10.5 pounds - 22.4 inches long! I'll take my 7-pounders any time! Congrats and Holy Cow on that baby..that is always exciting. I couldn't believe how rude msopinionated was... The weather here in Massachusetts is rain.. again! I feel like Bill Murray in Ground Hog day, every day its the same thing..... Thanks for the congrats. We went through the rainy season for about two weeks here, couldn't even get an hour or so to get the grass dry enough to cut - not even if we wanted to at 2 in the morning. Now, it is just flat out hot - had reached 95 when I went home for lunch. Cindi - 12:29CDT |

Quote nonnie7: CindiAnn - Congratulations on your new little guy in your family. What is his first name? I hope that's not too bold of me to ask but new babies are so exciting. The new one is Nathan. He has two big brothers - Will (3) and Josh (1-1/2). I hoping that since Nate got here when he did that he and his family will be able to be at our family reunion the weekend of July 11 in Savannah. They live in Valdosta, GA, as does my brother, the proud grandpapa. It still pushes it a little, tho - less than a month old then |

Nathans are special people, I think, since I have a grandson named Nathan. My Nate is twelve now and my former son-in-law took Nate and his brother, Ben who is fifteen, to Florida to visit their other grandma last week. When they came home, I could tell that Nathan was bursting to tell me something very exciting but didn't have the nerve to. He finally couldn't hold it in any longer and told me that his dad had taken them to a topless beach and good old Nate thought he died and had gone to heaven. It seems that his older brother wasn't all that impressed. Go figure! Nate wanted to have his picture taken with some of the topless ones but nobody would let him. Oh, boy, wait until my daughter, Nathan's mother, finds out. I sure hope that old Nathan enjoyed himself this time because I'm positive that it won't happen again until he's grown up. |

That is going to be something else - I hope he's not grounded forever - ex-hubby better watch out! You mentioned a grandson named Ben - My son and his wife had a son they named Ben back in April. He has an older sister Emma (age 2) |

Quote Blue 501: Quote lomille: I was just left the Daily Updates board and someone named "OPINATED" told another poster to shut the hell up--which was disrespectful, etc. Several posters reprimanded the poster. Then the posters continued to discuss over and over again what the poster did. Some posters claim to be 'good folks' but "if someone makes ONE mistake on here," WOW! And if a poster apologizes, doesn't that count. Would you want someone to "Ignore" everthing you say forever." How do you get back? So you make a mistake, you apologize, then no one talks to you. The soap characters get second chances but not real-live posters. Candace repimands and moves on---at least Candace continues to correspond with us. SOooo, OPINATED, if you want to post on here, read the guidelines, follow the rules and post-- and I'll talk to you. We all need friends! Take care. Geez, correct me if I am wrong, but aren't you the one who complained about people greeting & chatting about personal things on the Y&R site? So Candace suggested we take it here. Now you are all up in here all the time & inviting in more obnoxious people. Why don't you and Opinionated create your own buddy site? Candace suggested posters take personal chats to this site because they were not following the guidelines on the Y&R Daily Updates. I have a right to chat here just like you!! I have a right to come here as many times as I want. If you don't want to chat with me, just skip over me and chat with whomever you want. Thanks |

lomille - I'm thinking that now that the school kids are out, there will be many more posts that will be put on just to see what kind of a reaction they will get. We would all be better off if we just ignored them until they get bored unless they really get out of hand. They probably think it's hilariously funny to bait everybody until they get a battle going. Then, there are the regular baiters who are a pain because it's their personality to act that way. What do you think? |
