Quote kaycountrygal: grandma2six: I read on the YR site that you have a chihuahua. I do too; she's a handfull (laugh) 9 mos old. How old is yours? Is yours active? Mine is!! Loves to go outside & play/aggravate the much larger outside Lab mix dog. Kay 10:50pm

Un hun so that's what you want to talk about. If I have a pet the poor thing would either have to fend for itself or hang with me. I think it would fend for itself. My sister has a tea cup poodle who loves me tho'. My daughter has 2 miniature beagle who are like children but love crushed iced.

When I had dogs they had their own premises. They were housed in the efficiency room of the external house. My husband would turn on the heat when it was cold. I, on the other hand had to make gravy for their dog food or miX in leftovers. Don't walk pass them with fried chicken in your hand cause you would think you were on WWF

About posting and working. I have two different jobs. I work for the library foundation and I shouldn't post while here, but I occasionally do. I am also an independent researcher, so I am my own boss, I just don't charge for the time I'm toggling back and forth.

I have now had 12 teeth extracted, only 3 more sessions to go for that. I'm officially on the mashed potato or mushy food diet. Blah! But I'm on schedule for my Hollywood smile before my wedding. The date is still changing to accomodate as many family members as possible. We decided to just do the courthouse wedding and have an informal party in our house/backyard. With paying for all my dental work and the economy the way it is we just can't justify breaking ourselves to have a huge do. We are in our 40s, been married before and have a couple grandkids. The grandkids are my daughter's, but of course he claims them too. He should. He's been around since before they were born so he is Grandpa.

My daughter and her new hubby (boyfriend of 7 years and father to my granddaughters) are working it out. He got cold feet after the wedding, the sorry sap.

Quote kmc320: BTW being from Pensacola, our BBQ had to have a bone and sauce on it. The 1st time I tried to digest that stuff I was like what the He--!!!

Bones are ok, red bbq sauces are ok, even the mustardy ones they use in SC are ok but the only REAL q can't have anything on it except vinegar with lots of red pepper in it & maybe a little Texas Pete & plenty of cole slaw on the side. Ask your man if that's right? lol. I think Aden is in the eastern part of NC so we should be on the same page. West of Lexington they start sneaking tomato sauce into it.
We are talking chopped or sliced of course. Ribs are a whole different category. Have a good weekend.

Happy Sunday everyone! It's a beautiful day and I'm feeling good. Too bad I needed to come in to work for awhile. Thankfully I have flexible hours for the library, but when I take time off during the week, I have to make it up sometime!!

Kind of. They kept me hanging for a week. Surgeon says the biopsy was nonconclusive but he thinks it is not cancer & wants to check it again in 6 weeks (sooner if needed).I am going to think positively & work on building up my immunity.
Thank you for asking. Betsy

I am still praying for you and hope you will NEVER get BAD news about what you are experiencing.

Why will he prolong your agony with 6 weeks? Inconclusive test??? Whaaaat? Tests are either positive or negative.

Do what my best friend and I do to build up your immunity system. She now has me taking things I didn't think I needed. LOL
So far, I am taking MULTIVITAMIN WITH IRON
FISH OIL (good for the heart)
B1
B12
CALCIUM
VITAMIN C
VITAMIN D

Besides these things, she takes Protein shakes and herbs. I don't because I have other health problems and don't want to risk anything to be conflicting with my regular meds.

Blessings to you!
I hope and pray that you will get your final GREAT results and not bad ones.

Love,
Carol

glassldy55 & others: What are your hobbies? glassldy said hers is stained glass.

Mine is or was scrollsaw woodwork. I was pretty good with it but my eyesight got worse & I dont do much of it anymore. The photo of chihuahua is one I cut from wood.

BTW I've been through menopause; used to sweat all the time - NOT a great feeling. Thank Goodness, it finally stopped.

It is a beautiful day in NC. We also had rain on & off last week. Hope all of you have a great week. I enjoy posting with you folks. Kay 10:33a.m.

Kay - my hobbies include sewing when I have time. I also like to work with my husband in his workshop. Right now we have a pair of Adirondak (SP) chairs cut out and almost sanded to the point of putting together and sanding. Working with the wood is so relaxing, plus we have something to show for our efforts when a project is finished. I also enjoy listening to OLD country music. We go to Nashville (only @ 85 miles from Huntsville) about every 4-6 weeks and listen to bands on Broadway and visit with friends there.

Hi guys! I see a lot of different topics and posters. About an hour ago I signed off of the Daily Updates because my kids were home from school. Now they are off looking at the neighbor's new fish tank!
I used to work for a pharmacy that specialized in "different remedies". The doctor who used us as a go-to place refused to prescribe antibiotics. He said that they did nothing but make the ammune system weak. That was back in the late 80's. Folks laughed at him and called him a quack. Fish oil and Primrose oil were the hot items. Anybody heard of Caprystatin? It rids the body of yeast, among other things. I had horrible menstrual cramps when I was in my teens and early, early 20's. I would walk over to his office and one of his nurses would give me a shot of calcium and B12. Within 10 minutes, the cramps were gone. I was on a strict diet for one month (no diary), and I took the caprystatin. I had no cramps on my next cycle. The only drawback was that I had acne on my face...the caprystatin was getting rid of all the impurities in my system...and bumps on the face was a reaction. Couldn't handle the break outs, so I stopped doing it.

Just can't deal with that poster. Kudos to all that seem to patronize.
