nanas..how old is your grand daughter? I have a degree in child development...was a preschool teacher/day care director for about 10 years before I stayed home with my 2 kids. It's harder on the parents/grandparents than it is on the child. I've dealt with many kids who've never been away from family. After 2 weeks, things usually get better. It's best to drop her off...don't hang around. She'll cry, but call often to check on her. As long as you know she's in good hands and the day care provider seems cool with you calling all the time...your grand baby will do just fine. Better to deal with this now that when she starts kindergarten.

Cat's meow there's a lot of action on Y & R post. I'm sure you would enjoy. I've only been posting maybe a couple of months and thoroughly enjoy.

I am Karastin (Kay-RAH-sten)not steen. Answers to Kathy because my name gets butchered. I live in Pensacola Fl with husband of 36 yrs. Don't have time for pets because I'm constantly out. Do a lot of fundraising and charitable work through local American Legion Aux.

Cats Meow...when you opened you browser this morning, you clicked on the e with the ring on it yes? Where ever it is on your computer, click on it again, and it should open another browser window, then go to soap.com and you are already on this board, log into Y&R, sign in and you are on the other site then too! Then at the bottom of your computer screen you shoud have two internet browsers open, just click on the one you want to email on. If you want to talk in here, click that, if you want to talk about the show, click the other one!

Quote nanas3: CindiAnn,

No we are still struggling with her adapting, she has been with my daughter-in-laws sister since she was born, and she do not take to change well! I really get at my wits end to make it better for her! Her sister move further away, so we had no choice but to put her in day school! She is getting better, but we are not quite where I want her to be! It's harder on me leaving her than her staying! She even tried to tell us she was sick this morning and wanted to stay home with Daddy! She just doesn't realize we all have to go to work!

I'll keep you in my thoughts. Like the song I mentioned sometime back, "It Won't Be Like This Forever."

or if you already have your browser open, do "CTRL and N" to new. But the lastest IE has tabs across the top allowing you to view multiple websites.

I'm 53 - I live in Huntsville, Alabama and have since 1990. I have two grown children and three grandchildren of mine.
My grands are 2 2-YO girls and 1 2-week old boy.
My husban has two grown children, one bio grandson and two step-grands (1 girl/1 boy) and 2 step-great-grands (Both girls)

I was born and raised in central Mississippi in a family of 11 kids - I'm #8. My husband is an only child - born and raised in Pennsylvania. Can you imagine what a culture shock he went through when we met?

My siblings are scattered all over the USA. Nine of us are still living and try to get together somewhere every year - this year will be in Savannah, GA.
