Good Men Are Hard To Find.

Friday, November 20 2009
Carly and Jack track down Simon, Holden and Molly head back to Oakdale and Brad materializes.

At home, Katie prays to Brad to make the chair move again. He tries but has no luck. They both yell in frustration. Jacob begins crying so she begins cradling the child. The doorbell rings. She wonders if it's a sign. It's Janet with veal. She asks Katie if she is expecting anyone. "Not anymore," Katie says. Janet plays with the baby and offers to look after him if she needs a break. They discuss Jack running off and Katie tells her not to give up on him. "He's a good man and they're hard to find," she says. Brad tries talking to Janet but has no luck. The baby cries more and Katie drops a hint to Janet to leave.

A frustrated Henry goes back to his room and jumps into the shower. One of Ralph's goons sneaks in. When Henry comes out drying his hair, the goon whips out a knife. Brad appears and Henry yells at him. Brad grabs a vase and smashes it on the goon's head. The goon runs off. Brad grabs Henry and he feels it.

They rush over to Katie's. She refuses to let Henry in. He rings the bell again and she lets him in to hold the crying baby. Henry gets the baby to stop screaming and tells Katie to have a nap. When she does, he and Brad sing 'Get Along Little Doggies' to the child. While Katie sleeps, she dreams of Brad. He tells her that she won't have to raise the child alone, they can do it together. She wakes up and rushes over to Henry. He hands her the baby and leaves to testify. She sings to the baby and Brad joins in.

Dusty tracks Teri down at Metro. He reminds her that she is supposed to be at the courthouse testifying against Ralph. She's too afraid and shows him a threat that her uncle sent her. He advises her to take it to the police. Teri thinks that would pose too much of a risk to her family. "I thought you were braver than this!" he says.

In Pittsburgh, Jack goes to a gallery and asks around about Simon. Carly creeps up on him. She tells him she sent Holden to look after Molly. He insists that he can find Simon on his own. Jack tries to walk away from her but she follows him, insisting that he needs her. He wonders if she has a thing for Simon. "He was the worst mistake I ever made and that says a lot," she claims. Jack thinks she's running away from her problems. They offer to stop questioning each other and just find 'the loser'.

Carly and Jack search a database for leads on Simon. Janet calls but Jack tries to fob her off. She tells him that Katie needs him to come back. He offers to be back when he can and hangs up. Carly corners a lead and they rush off to check it out.

She takes him to get a new suit since they are going to a charity benefit. She uses Craig's credit card to buy him the most expensive suit they can find.

Carly and Jack arrive at the benefit. As they look around, they bump into a couple who just happen to have Simon as their dealer. When they look for him, he's vanished. Before he can storm off, she points out that they are playing their song. As they dance, Simon taps Jack on the shoulder.

Dusty sits down with Janet on the street. He can see she's upset and says they need to talk about her sister. Janet doesn't see what good any of this will do but Dusty thinks Teri needs a talking to.

Molly is at her place watching the news report about her almost being killed by the congressman. She's surprised when Holden shows up at her door. "It's been a long time," he says. She hugs him and apologizes for not making it to his last funeral. They talk about her scandal and she worries that Abigail will be disappointed in her. She appreciates him coming but it wasn't necessary. He asks her to come back to Oakdale with him. Molly thinks she burned too many bridges there. Holden tells her about Lily marrying Damian and assures her that everyone will be glad to see her. He finally talks her into packing up and going back to town with him.

They go out for something to eat on the way to Oakdale. She tells him the details of the affair. He assures her that the congressman was the sleaze bag, not her. A random guy comes over and asks her if there are any naked pictures of her on the internet. Holden backs him off. Molly warns him that she has a lot of baggage. He thinks he can deal with that.

Holden and Molly drive back into town and she keeps worrying about Lily's reaction. He assures her he's glad she's coming home.

Dusty and Janet go to the courthouse to see Teri. She admits that she's been a sucker to and wants to offer her support. "He comes after one Ciccone girl, he comes after all of us," she says. Teri thanks Dusty for bringing her sister. The sisters go in.

I too have concerns about the future of the show - but I watch it more than I comment here. Bringing back former characters is what GL did just before the plug was pulled.
This show has more going for it than GL did its twilight so I hope it stays around at least a few more years.
Damien has got to do something about Wacko Meg. She's abandoned her daughter and gone obsessive in manipulating and stalking him. Not good!
Nice seeing Jack and Carly operate together. They're a great team.
