Holden heads home, Lily and Damian have a wedding and Noah is stuck in the dark with Mason.

Lily rolls over in bed and looks at her ring. Lucinda comes in and tells her that Faith told her about the wedding. She begs her to tell her that Faith was lying. Fighting ensues and Lucinda thinks that Faith is turning her anger on herself and needs her mother's help. Lily feels like all of her happiness is in the past. "That's what grief is," Lucinda explains. Lily doesn't know if she can get better without Damian. Lucinda suggests that Damian engineered this whole thing. Lily becomes livid and tells her to get over it. Lucinda asks her to wait a little longer. She won't. "I can't watch you make this terrible mistake," her mother says, refusing to attend the wedding.

At the farm house, Emma is showing Meg the flowers she picked for Holden's grave. Meg admits she hasn't been there since the funeral. They talk about Eliza and smile. Meg is starting to feel like her life is turning around. She tells her that she had a talk with Damian and doesn't think things are over between them after all. Emma's not happy to hear it but Meg insists that all will be well.

Luke and Damian are having breakfast. Damian knows everyone is still in shock but he's trying to do the right thing. Luke knows it's hard for the other children to see him with Lily, but it's less of a stretch for him. He's sure they will come around though. Damian tells them that they're getting married today and asks him to be his best man. He claims that fate has brought him back to Oakdale and destiny wants him to be Lily's husband. Luke doesn't know what to call him anymore but will think about calling him 'father'. He agrees to be his best man.

Damian goes to Lily's and tells her that his son agreed. Things didn't go so well with her mother. He promises to make peace with Lucinda after they are married. Lily still has her doubts about this wedding. He gives her some money and tells her to grab a dress.
Noah barges into Mason's office and is shocked to find that there is a woman there in his place. She has notes for him too.
Noah meets Luke at the cafe. He complains that his film is falling apart. Luke tells him about the wedding and then Noah tells him that Mason has quit the project and left him with a professor who hates his movie. Luke tells him to go and get Mason back. "Just don't let him touch you," he adds.

Lily drops by to see Emma. She tells her that she is marrying Damian tonight. Emma's not going to give her blessing. "I'd like your understanding," Lily says. She makes her case and invites her but Emma's not interested. "This is too soon," she says. Lily sobs and says that she can't go on alone. Emma thinks she's underestimating herself.

Meg runs into Damian on the street. She asks him out for coffee but he tells her he's busy putting his wedding together. She's shocked. He explains that the kids accepted him. Meg finds that impossible to believe. He says that Faith doesn't think he's an ogre anymore. "You're not my brother either," she says. He's not trying to be. Biting her tongue, she wishes him well.

Lily goes to the cemetery to visit Holden's grave. She tells him that no one will ever live up to him but she can't be alone. Damian comes with a lot of baggage but he loves her and the kids. Weeping, she tells him that she is moving on but will never stop loving him.

Holden wakes up in the hospital in Kentucky. The nurse checks on him. He's eager to go home. The nurse says he's not strong enough. He doesn't care and gets up. Holden doesn't want to help the cops pin this on Maeve and asks the nurse to help him get away.

Noah goes to see Mason, who claims that he did the right thing by leaving the project. Noah tells him that the woman he was assigned to hates his work. Mason can't hide his feelings anymore. Noah's willing to accept that. They leave to get to work.

They drive out to the location but the car dies. Mason tries to call for help but there's no signal. "Did you do this on purpose?" Noah asks. "Get over yourself," Mason says. Noah apologizes, but he's upset that he's missing Luke's parents' wedding. "I'm not there for Luke... again," he says.

Meg goes home and rants to her mother about the wedding. Emma tells her that it's wrong for her to be lying to herself the way she is. She needs to admit that she is upset because of her obsession with Damian, not because of Holden. "He was using you," Emma says, telling her she deserves better. "All I want is Damian," Meg pouts.

A storm is brewing as the wedding preparations continue. Lily arrives, telling Damian that even the weather seems to be against them. He tells her that, in Malta, rain on a wedding day is good luck. She's sure he's making that up. They look at the decorations and Luke shows off how dressed up the kids are. Lily takes her daughters upstairs to pick a dress. When they come back downstairs, Lucinda arrives. She tells Damian she hopes he proves her wrong. He assures her that he will do everything he can to prove he is worthy of her daughter. As the family files off, Damian spots Meg through the window. He goes out and grabs her, telling her that he is making Lily his wife and she has to go. She refuses. He returns as the judge calls everyone together. Damian tells Lily that she is the center of his life and he can only offer her his love. She and Luke have taught him the meaning of family and he promises to love her and the children forever. Lily says that they were brought together by a tragedy and he accepts her for who she is, even with all of her flaws, and has protected her and her family. They can't forget their loss, but they can move on. "You're not just marrying me, you're marrying my whole family," she says. After they exchange rings, they are pronounced married. The door blows open. They stare as Holden stands in the doorway.
Meg returns to the farm house. Her mother tells her that she is leaving town to go on a church trip. After Emma leaves, Meg smashes things.
