Craig and Carly?!? Monday, December 15 2008

Craig and Carly spar, Dani argues with Craig, Paul questions Josie and Brad wonders what Katie is keeping from him.

At Yo's Brad asks Katie why she is so touchy about the subject of Craig; she says she doesn't like her brother. Brad starts talking about Dani and her connection to the case. She walks in and Brad confronts her at the bar, asking what is new in the Spencer case. Dani says there is nothing new; Brad insinuates that she isn't working hard enough. Katie grabs him and pushes him out the door. Dani calls Craig but he doesn't answer the phone.

At the apartment Brad goes on and on about Dani's incompetence. He points out that every time the cops lost a lead she was in charge. Katie disagrees with him but he keeps going on the subject. Frustrated, she tells him to be grateful he isn't locked up and move on! Brad goes for a walk. Katie leaves soon after.

Craig tries to make nice with Carly but she is having none of that and tells him to go away. Craig mentions the wedding, which only annoys Carly more, and then orders them each another drink. They talk about Jack and then Carly brings up Craig's attempted murder of Paul; he says he didn't do it and Katie is backing him up. She wonders what dirt he has on Katie but he turns the conversation back to Jack. "What are you going to do with the rest of your life?" he asks. Carly says she is going to focus on her children and her career, making Craig laugh. He says she'll never make it because she'll find another hapless man. He reminds her of their romantic past; she says that is in the past. He points out that they could be good friends but she doesn't believe so. She pays her tab and Craig says they have a lot in common. She says he is disturbed. He points out that they would each do anything for their children. Carly asks why he is back and he says he returned to see what Dusty knew that he didn't. She says he brought all of this on himself and then asks what happens once he finds Johnny. He says he will do anything. Dani walks in and asks why he didn't answer his phone! Carly wonders what is going on. Craig covers by telling Dani that she has to deal with her boyfriend problems on her own. She storms off; Carly says Dani has boundary issues. Craig leaves. Carly calls Sage. Katie arrives and Carly confronts her about Craig's alibi. Katie says she kept quiet because she was mad and Carly accuses her of lying! She keeps pushing Katie.

Meg goes to see Dusty and apologizes for not believing him. Dusty says it is all in the past but warns Meg that she has to leave Paul in the past this time around. He warns her that Paul will fight for custody; Meg says she is ready. Dusty isn't so sure, especially since he fell for Paul's scam. He worries that he'll never find Johnny now and rambles about his inability to see through Josie. Meg realizes Dusty had real feelings for Josie. She leaves.

Barbara is waiting at Fairwinds when Paul arrives. She asks how he could use Jennifer's memory this way! He insists he was trying to save his family. Paul says Barbara better start helping him because Meg will keep the baby away from her, too! Barbara says the only solution is for Josie to return and tell everyone that she was the one who kept the scam going after Paul wanted to end it. He says Josie won't go along with it but Barbara believes money will solve Josie's reluctance and sets up a meeting with her.

Craig catches up with Dani in Old Town and tells her to stick to the plan and stop screwing up. She says he covered with Carly and needs to lighten up. She asks about Spencer, he says as long as Spencer stays away they are fine. Brad overhears them!

Josie is surprised when Paul walks in to Java instead of Barbara. He begs her to help him make things right with Meg. He says he will double her fee and she grabs her bag to go. Paul says if she doesn't help him Dusty will ruin his life. He grabs her and threatens her. Dusty walks in with Meg and orders Paul to leave Josie alone! Dusty and Josie leave but Meg stays behind to tell Paul that his machinations won't work on her. He asks why she was there with Dusty and she says he is her friend. "I knew I was right!" Paul crows.

At The Lakeview Josie tells Dusty about her meeting with Paul. Dusty can't believe what Paul did; Josie says he believes he can win Meg's heart again and asks if Dusty is going to romance Meg to protect her. Dusty says Meg is his friend and says Josie should leave town. She says she can't! She says she has nowhere to go and admits that her act wasn't a complete act. She says she has no family and no memory of her family. She asks again if they can start over; they decide to go to dinner.

At the farm Meg has a contraction. Paul arrives and leads her away.

At the hospital the doctor leads Meg into an examining room; she tells Paul to stay out and the doctor threatens to call security if Paul won't go.

Paul returns to Fairwinds and tells Barbara that the game is over because Josie won't go along with him and Meg has moved on with Dusty! "Everything I do backfires," he says. Babs sits with him on the sofa and says they will figure something out. Paul says she can help by leaving him alone.

Meg and the doctor return to the farm. The contraction was Braxton Hicks and the doctor reminds Meg that she will be okay this time around. The doctor leaves. Meg goes into the kitchen and tells the baby they will be okay.

Craig returns to his room at The Lakeview. Brad is waiting and says they have to talk – now! Brad brings up Katie!
