Maddie returns to see Adam, Luke and Noah argue and Damian and Lily try to resist each other.
Noah drops by the house to see Luke. Lily is about to leave to check on Damian. Noah is clueless so Lily tells him about what happened in Kentucky. After she leaves them alone, Noah asks for more details. "It doesn't seem like something that would slip your mind," he says. He worries that his boyfriend was never going to tell him at all. Luke thinks he's overreacting. Noah thought that they were supposed to share things. "I don't know where I fit in your life," he says. Luke is always pushing him away and they never see each other anymore. Luke claims he just doesn't want to take him away from the good things in his life. "When you decide that there is something you want me around for, let me know," Noah says, walking out.
Lily arrives at the hospital and helps Damian put his shirt on. He finds it hard to resist her but she says they need to control their feelings. All the same, she knows that he needs her.
Lily takes Damian back to his room. As she gets the room ready, he notices that someone was going through his drawers and his papers are missing. Lily wonders if Luke took them. He tells her that the samples of Holden's handwriting were taken, claiming that he sent copies to the lab. She becomes upset that he never gave them back to her. "How could somebody take that away from me?" she whimpers. They sit down and she tells him how grateful she is to him for keeping her going when she wanted to give up. After they kiss, she reminds him that they have to behave. When she slips out, he notices that his wound is bleeding again. She comes back in and says she's not comfortable leaving him alone. When she asks him to move into her house, he says that's a bad idea. Although he wants to live with her, he could only do that as her husband. This makes her uncomfortable. She reminds him that she is still mourning and decides it's time to go.
Lily goes home and finds Luke moping. She tells him that he should be with Noah, not putting his life on hold. "Having someone to share your life with is what it's all about," she says. She doesn't want him to let his life slip away. After Luke leaves, Damian calls and apologizes for being too straightforward. She tells him it was nice to hear. He repeats that he will be there when she is ready to move on.
Mason finds Noah at work. Noah spills about his problems with Luke. "Couples fight," Mason says. Noah complains about living alone so Mason offers him a distraction. When he runs off to organize it, Luke comes in and tells Noah that he wants to move back into their apartment. "I want you around for everything," Luke tells him. As they kiss, Mason walks in with a stack of DVDs. Forcing a smile when he sees them together, he says that they obviously have better things to do now and walks out.
Maddie meets with Alison at the diner. She called Maddie back to town to try and help with Adam. Maddie makes it clear that she is not there to help him, but to get some things off her chest for her own sake. Ali tells her that she knows about what happened in the woods. She thinks that if people knew more about what happened, it could make a difference. Maddie decides that she wants to see Adam.
Casey and Tom are awkward with each other at home. Casey is till annoyed that he has decided to defend Adam. He wants him to go away for a really long time. Tom argues that Adam has really changed and they all need to look forward. He feels like Casey is holding something back about what happened. Margo calls Tom and tells him that they may have a break. He and Casey rush off to the station.
Margo is with Adam at the station. She tries to look for excuses for his behavior. "I just wasn't myself," he says, frustrated. She needs more of an explanation. When she leaves him alone, Ali and Maddie come in. When she shows Maddie in, Adam instantly tells her that she shouldn't have come. She asks to speak to him alone. "I almost feel like I'm not seeing you. You look and sound so different," she tells him as they are left alone. He says he is the same man she buried and left for dead. She tries apologizing but he's the one who is sorry. He can't make up for what he did, but he's sure he'll be getting what is coming to him. She's glad he's taking responsibility but she's trying to do the same. Maddie has been in therapy and is sure that she and Gwen damaged the real him and made him malicious. She is willing to testify to that in court.
Tom and Casey arrive at the station. Margo is about to tell them about Adam's visitor when Casey notices Maggie through the window and rushes into the room. Before he can lose it, Maddie calms him, telling him that she wants to be there. She asks for another minute alone with Adam. Casey reluctantly leaves with everyone else. Maddie reminds Adam about the pact he made with Will and Casey. He knows he went back on his promise by coming back to town but he had to make amends. He worries that she could get in trouble by bringing all of this out in the open but she is sure it's not as bad as he thinks. After Maddie leaves, Tom and Margo question Adam. He's reluctant to say anything, but tells them he'll be changing his plea to not guilty. Tom leaves, promptly gets a deal for Adam and returns, telling him he can go home. Margo hugs her son and Tom shakes his hand.
Maddie and Casey sit together outside. After an awkward 'hello', she tells him that this is really something she wants to do. She wants to testify for Adam to make things right. Casey thinks this is insane and assumes his parents put her up to this. "Your parents didn't call her Casey, I did," Alison says as she walks over. He rants at her. Alison is just trying to fix things. "You're making it worse," he tells her. Casey is sure that Adam is just manipulating everyone. When Adam appears, Casey runs off. Maddie chases after him. "I really hope what you've done is worth it," Adam tells Alison. She'll never get passed all of the lies he told, but he stood up for her with everything that happened at the hospital. He hopes that what he's done hasn't ruined her relationship with his brother.
Casey tells Maddie that she's made a mistake and he can't let her go through with it. He advises her to change her mind. "If you ever cared about me at all, you'd do this," he says.
