Damian offers to leave town again, Holden wants Lily to quit the Foundation, Lucinda lays down the law, Emily wants to quit the Intruder, and Alison tries to be friendly with Jade.
At the hospital, Damian stops to see Luke leaving Noah's room. Luke thanks him again for saving them. Damian invites Luke, Lily, and Holden for lunch. Luke agrees and sees Alison working. Damian leaves them to talk alone. Luke thanks Alison for all her help and wants to take her out to celebrate. She smiles and promises to do it soon.
Jade and Casey emerge from around the corner where Alison is working. Casey asks Alison to go to lunch. Alison then invites Jade to join them, surprising Casey. She tells Casey she is just being nice, which Casey thinks is weird. Casey jokes that maybe he can get a threesome out of it. The trio then head out to lunch.
At home with Holden, Lily receives a call from Damian. He asks her and Holden to join himself and Luke for lunch. Holden firmly tells Lily to forget it. Lily argues Luke will feel uncomfortable alone, but Holden reminds her that Damian endangers them all. Lily asserts she is going alone and leaves.
At the Intruder, Lucinda informs Emily that the Intruder is no longer going to be published. Lucinda tells Emily the paper is a dinosaur, and going forward they will solely be publishing online. Emily refuses to lead the new format because she is an idiot when it comes to the Internet. Lucinda brings in Hunter, the new co-editor. He details all of his degrees and qualifications. Emily thinks it will not work, but Lucinda orders her to take it or leave it and get in the unemployment line. Emily begrudgingly agrees.
At Yo's while Casey is ordering lunch, Jade demands to know why Alison wants to get on her good side. Alison admits she thinks it will make her relationship with Casey easier. When Casey comes back, they joke that Casey wants a catfight, but Jade says they have reached an understanding. As Casey and Alison flirt, Jade gets distracted by a guy at the bar. Casey and Alison urge Jade to talk with him. She agrees and leaves to play pool with them. Alison and Casey interrupt them, and Alison spies a wedding ring on Jade's prospect. Casey asks about his wife and Jade yells at him to leave. Casey and Alison tell her she can do better.
At the Lakeview, Damian and Luke talk about his future. Holden and Lily arrive for lunch to thank him one last time, but Damian informs them that he is staying in Oakdale to get to know his son better. Holden states Luke is his son and he wants Damian nowhere near him. Damian informs Holden he was sincere about leaving, but Luke requested that he stay. Holden becomes upset and leaves.
Luke follows Holden and explains that he is a Snyder and Holden is his dad, but he still wants to fully know Damian. Holden states he trusts him, but not Damian and begs him to be careful. Holden jokes that Luke is stuck with him and they hug and go back to lunch. Damian apologizes, but Lily retorts he always manages to find a way to cause trouble. Holden tells Damian that if Luke wants to get to know him, he will not stand in the way.
Luke and Damian continue to chat after Holden and Lily leave. Luke talks about the Foundation and financial troubles they are working through. Luke worries that the charities they support are going to suffer. Damian wants to help. Luke doesn't think he will support the charities that are important to him, but Damian wants to prove that he is on Luke's side with no reservations. Luke accepts his offer of help.
Hunter and Emily brainstorm the new format and he thinks that they should change the name of the paper. Emily tells him that the Intruder is their brand and they will lose readers. They continue to clash over ideas and Emily decides to leave for lunch.
Hunter follows Emily to Yo's and wants to keep working. Emily orders a martini and tells him he is speaking in tongues with the IT talk. He makes a joke about her age and she orders him to leave. Hunter trips over the barstool and nearly kisses Emily by accident. Emily orders Hunter to sit and stay, and she instead leaves.
In the corner of Yo's, Alison witnesses Emily with Hunter and states how pathetic Emily is for robbing the cradle again. Alison chases Emily outside and wonders why she is hanging out with a boy toy. Emily explains about her job change and how Hunter is her business partner.
Alison returns inside, and introduces herself to Hunter. She offers him tips on how to get along with Emily better. She instructs him to never correct Emily or argue with her. She then invites him to hang out with Casey and Jade. She introduces Hunter, who accidently spills a drink on Jade and runs away embarrassed. Jade angrily states she is not that desperate and to quit trying to set her up and leaves, as Casey and Alison laugh.
At home, Lucinda visits Lily and Holden. Lily informs her that Luke has asked Damian to stay longer. Lucinda thinks Holden has the patience of Job because she would not be that generous. Luke arrives and informs them that Damian is giving them cash for the Foundation, but Lily protests she can help with the funding. Luke thinks allowing Damian to make amends is the right thing to do.
Alone at home, Holden tells Lily he is going to watch Luke's back for him, but thinks Lily should resign from the foundation now that Damian is involved. Holden believes Damian wants his family back, which includes her. Lily asserts she is not interested and refuses to walk away from the foundation. Holden is upset she won't do this for them and leaves.
Hunter returns to the Intruder office and tells Emily she is totally right about not changing the Intruder name. Emily is happy he listened to her and tells him she will see him at work in the morning. Hunter states he is looking forward to working with her and leaves.
Lucinda arrives at Damian's Lakeview suite and angrily tells him there is more at stake than him making amends with Luke. She claims Lily and Holden will be affected. Damian states he has no intention of hurting their marriage. Lucinda orders him to put any thoughts of harming her family out of his mind. Damian tells her she is not his mother-in-law anymore and he doesn't have to listen to her lectures. After she leaves, Damian smiles.

At the police station, Craig tells Lucy it makes perfect sense that Dusty would do this to him.
