Derek Is Shot! Wednesday, January 14 2009

Robby escapes from jail, Derek is shot, Alison is jealous of Casey and Jade, Luke has it out with Brian and Lucinda begins to move forward.

Margo gets a call from Florida that Robby has escaped!

At Metro Robby surprises Derek, pulls a gun on him and then ties him up!

At the hospital Casey tries to charm Alison out of a smile by telling her what a great job he's done on the floors. She is having none of it so he apologizes – again – for New Year's Eve. She says it isn't a big deal but Casey pushes the issue. Alison's friend arrives to thank her for the concert tickets and Casey can't believe she didn't ask him. "I didn't want you to get the wrong idea," Alison exclaims!

At Java Luke and Noah bump into Jade; they thank her for helping them get back together. Luke worries that he and Lucinda will never heal their relationship. Jade says Lucinda doesn't deserve any pity because she had to know that Brian was gay from the beginning! Noah gets to work. Luke brings up Derek but Jade won't talk about him. He goes to get coffee and Robby calls! He demands that she meet him – and Derek! – at Metro! Jade hurries away and bumps into Casey. He follows her.

Brian walks into Worldwide and finds Lucinda shredding his papers! She says he deserves it; he asks if she can ever believe that he loved her. She picks up the trash bin, hands it to him and tells him to leave. He does. Lucinda is very sad. She calls Luke to tell him about Brian's appearance at work. She tells him to have a great day because now Brian is out of their lives for good! They hang up; Luke tells Noah how upset she sounded. Noah convinces Luke to go to Lucinda so they can start the healing process.

Brian shows up at Java and asks Noah to help him fix things with Luke and Lucinda; Noah says he can't fix anything and Brian realizes they are back together. This relieves Brian and he wishes Noah the best, saying now he can end this. Brian walks out.

Luke arrives at Worldwide but Lucinda doesn't want to talk. She is still obviously very upset, though, and Luke tries to get her to talk anyway. He tells her to stop shutting him out. He apologizes again for not telling her about things from the beginning. "I just didn't want to lose you," Luke says. Lucinda still can't forget about what happened with Brian and Luke but says she is ready to move forward.

Brian takes his trash bin to the room at The Lakeview. He packs his bags, crying, and then gets a bottle of pills from the dresser. Noah arrives! Brian won't talk to him. Noah calls Luke, says Brian is talking about ending things and has locked himself in his room. Luke says he'll be right there. He asks Lucinda to come but she won't. Luke gets to The Lakeview and barges into Brian's room with Noah. He sees the pills! Brian says the pills don't mean anything. He tells them he is fine and tries to toss them out but they won't leave. He says he can't live as openly as Luke and Noah and he is fine with that; Luke doesn't believe him. Noah tells Brian about his upbringing, saying he understands, and tells Brian to live his life. Brian won't listen. They keep trying to reach him but this only makes Brian angry. Luke keeps talking about Brian's pain and he angrily says, "Fine! You're right and I'm gay." Lucinda walks in, hears him and kindly says he did the right thing. Luke and Noah leave. Brian calls Caroline and they make plans to meet in the city. He tells Lucinda he feels so much lighter now; she is happy for him. He apologizes for the pain he caused; she tells him to be happy. "I was happy with you," he says, making her smile. She gives him back the engagement ring and says the same thing. He makes her promise to find real love again.

At Lily's Bonnie asks if Lily believes Jade and Derek will ever decide to talk. Lily isn't sure and asks why it matters. Bonnie says it matters because she cares for Derek. Margo calls and tells them to stay put until she can get there. Margo arrives and tells them about Robby's escape; Bonnie deduces that Robby might be headed for Oakdale, worrying Lily. Margo asks where Jade might be but Lily doesn't know.

Jade arrives at Metro to find Derek tied up and Robby with a gun. She explains why she did what she did but Robby won't listen. Casey barges in, upsetting Robby even more. Jade's phone rings and Robby grabs it; Casey texts Margo for help. He tries to talk Robby down but Robby won't listen. Derek joins Casey, telling Robby that he can't escape this time. Robby grabs Jade and when Casey pulls her away from him, shoots Derek! "Who's next?" Robby asks angrily! Jade tries to talk him down again and when he looks away, Casey lunges. They fight and Robby knocks Casey out! Jade keeps Robby talking and then Casey grabs him as Margo, Bonnie and Lily arrive. They take Robby into custody and Jade points them to Derek, who is bleeding from the chest.

The group gets to the hospital. Alison goes to get information about Derek for Bonnie, Lily, Jade and Casey. Lily tries to encourage Bonnie. Jade thanks Casey for following her and saving her. She hugs Casey and Alison sees, getting jealous! Margo takes Casey aside and says he has to stop getting into fixes like this. Casey finds Alison a while later and she says he did a brave thing. She offers to look over his bruised eye. He wants to kiss her but then Jade walks in and asks Casey to lunch; they agree to meet later. Casey invites Alison to come along but she declines and leaves the room.

Bonnie and Jade are shown into Derek's room; he is recovering well. He is glad that Jade wasn't hurt and says it is time they found out if he really is Jade's father! Jade leaves the room and tells Lily about the paternity test. She is obviously unsure about the test so Lily reassures her that she has all of the Snyders' love whenever she needs it. Back in the room Bonnie tells Derek she believes in him. They kiss.
