Paul Is Shot! Monday, December 01 2008

Meg and Paul decorate for the holidays, Dusty figures out Paul's plan, Luke moves to Lily's and so do Brian and Lucinda, Noah doesn't believe Luke's claims and Dusty shoots Paul!

At the farm, Luke pours booze down the sink. Holden arrives. Luke says he feels uncomfortable and strange and asks if he can move back to Lily's house! Holden is surprised but says he is welcome at home.

Lily runs into Lucinda and Brian at The Lakeview. Lucinda tells her about their renovation plans and Brian says they will stay at the hotel until the renovations are complete. Lily says they can't do that and invites them to live at her house!

Holden and Luke arrive at Lily's; Luke takes his things to his room. Lily arrives and tells Holden about her invitation. Holden says Luke moved home! Just then Luke returns from his room and Lucinda and Brian arrive! Lucinda is excited to see Luke but Luke is not happy to learn he'll be living with Brian, too. He says he should go back to the farm so things aren't so crowded but Lily won't hear of it. Luke goes outside as Holden shows Brian to their new room. Lucinda follows Luke outside and demands to know what is going on. He says he just isn't comfortable around Brian; Lucinda says he has to get over this and goes back inside. Lily asks Brian to work closely with Luke at the foundation so that he can get things back together. Lucinda thinks that is a great idea. When they are alone, Lucinda asks Brian if something has happened to make Luke act this way. Brian swears he doesn't know anything.

Luke goes to Java and asks Noah if they can talk. Noah says they will always be friends and Luke tells him about Brian coming on to him the night of his big wedding. Noah is shocked and doesn't believe Luke, who calls Brian a 'closet case'. Noah says Luke may be overreacting. Annoyed, Luke says he knows the difference between a come-on and a comforting kiss. Noah keeps defending Brian and reminds Luke that he was drunk at the time. He even says Luke may have made things worse! This only makes Luke more angry; he says he can tell Brian wants to go to bed with him just like he could tell that Noah did! He leaves.

Luke returns to Lily's and starts drinking. Brian sees him and tells him to stop. "Stay away from me, I can't have you coming on to me all the time," Luke says. Brian says he isn't coming on to him, he is trying to help him. Brian says he won't let Luke self-destruct but Luke says he can't help when he is the problem. Brian says he doesn't want to seduce Luke and that he is in love with Lucinda. Luke doesn't believe him. He asks if Lucinda knows the truth about him. Brian says he isn't hiding anything from Lucinda. Luke storms off.

Lily and Holden go to Java; they are worried about Luke. Lily says Luke moving home is a move in the right direction.

At the hotel, Dusty questions Emily about Josie. The more he questions the more information she lets him in on until Dusty thinks she hired Josie! He grabs her and throws her onto the bed; Emily cries that she didn't hire Josie and she was just presuming what might have happened. Dusty lets her go. He wonders who did it and decides it had to be Paul; Emily doesn't dissuade him.

Paul finally finds Meg and shows her the Christmas tree. As they decorate, Paul imagines how life will be with Meg and the baby. He sees himself playing Santa for a little girl and delivering presents to her. He returns to the present and kisses Meg. He convinces her to come shopping with him so that they can finish the tree that day. Dusty arrives and angrily asks Paul what he is trying to do. He says Paul doesn't deserve Meg; Paul tells him to get out but Dusty won't leave. Dusty says Meg will never forgive him once she knows the truth. Paul pulls a gun from his pocket and says he won't tell Meg anything! Dusty remains calm and reminds Paul that killing John didn't work out so well for him. They fight over the gun when Paul won't lower it. Dusty wrestles the gun away and Paul grabs the axe! "Drop it," Dusty orders.

Meg sits down to rest in Old Town. Emily sees her and says she didn't mean for all of this to happen and that Meg doesn't deserve this. Meg is confused but Emily hurries away.

Paul lunges at Dusty and Dusty shoots – just as Meg returns. "What have you done," she asks!

Jack decides to give Janet her perfect wedding – and uses Parker's tuition money to make ends meet! Carly is mortified when she finds out.

Meg gets Paul to the hospital; he wants to have Dusty arrested.

Josie tells Dusty that she will tell the police everything to exonerate him.
