Casey and Alison lean on one another, Kim asks Allie for help, Chris leaves Oakdale, Bob gives Meg bad news, Paul apologizes to Dusty and then asks Emily for help.
At Fairwinds, Meg tells Paul that the only way he can fix things is to apologize to Dusty. Paul is incensed and accuses Meg of wanting the other man. Meg says she loves Paul, she is having Paul's baby and she is staying with Paul. He finally listens to her and says he'll go to Dusty. After he leaves, Bob arrives and takes Meg's vitals. He says her blood pressure is high and her heart rate is high, too. He says Paul is likely the cause and says that between Paul and James, Meg's pregnancy could be in danger. He says Paul needs more therapy and suggests that Meg have him committed! Meg refuses, saying Paul has turned the corner. Bob isn't so sure. Kim calls and asks him to meet her at Java so they can talk to Chris together.
Alison and Casey are crying on one another's shoulders at Al's when Kim arrives and asks if she can talk to Alison. Alison takes her outside and Kim begs her to talk to Chris to convince him not to leave Oakdale. She says she is very worried that Chris may never come home if he leaves now. Alison reluctantly agrees to talk to him and returns to Casey's table. Casey says Chris dug his own grave and she shouldn't feel obligated. Alison asks if he would feel this way if Emily were involved.
At The Lakeview, Dusty convinces Emily to be his eyes around Meg. Emily doesn't want to do it but Dusty insists that Meg is in danger from Paul. Emily leaves. Paul arrives a few minutes later and apologizes to Dusty! Dusty says apologies are only good if you mean them; that sets Paul off. He tells Dusty to stay away from Meg and then says Dusty is the crazy one! He storms off.
Emily gets to the lobby but doesn't go any further. Casey walks in and asks if Emily is hanging around the hotel hoping to run into Dusty. Emily tells him to shut up but Casey won't back down. He asks if it's been fun catching up with - and sleeping with! - Dusty! Emily tells him to stop. Casey brings up Emily's inability to have more kids and she tells him to shut up. He says she better tell Dusty the truth about having her tubes tied because he probably wants more kids. Emily says he is just jealous; Casey says he isn't jealous at all and walks away. Emily follows but runs into Paul. They go to the lounge. Paul tells her about Dusty; Emily says Dusty is the root of her problems, too. She tells him that Dusty believes Meg is in danger, wants to save her and asked Emily to help him. "Meg is his new project and Dusty always falls in love with his projects," Em says. Paul says they should work together to keep Dusty and Meg apart! Em reminds him that they don't make good partners but Paul convinces her to play along with him again.
Chris finishes packing and tells the bellman that he will have another trunk or two. He goes downstairs and sees Aaron. He apologizes for his part in Aaron's unhappiness and then says he should go after Alison. Aaron says Alison is done with him and won't give him a second chance; he says Chris should go after Alison himself!
Alison tracks down Chris at the hospital. She asks Chris about the dog but he has already found a home for Morty. She asks about the job; he says he will be doing work that needs to be done. She reminds him how hard it was for him to be away from the family; he says there is no reason for him to stay in Oakdale! He brings up Aaron and their finalized break up and asks if she wants him to stay! Alison says she called because of Kim's request. She says she does care about him but says she ended her marriage because she doesn't love Aaron that way any longer and she doesn't want to hurt him anymore. Chris says he could stay and help her. "You're not the kind of help I need," Alison says. She says she is going to be single for a while. Chris gathers his bags and asks her to think about him and the possibilities for their relationship. Alison says he shouldn't leave because of her. Chris kisses her and leaves.
At Java, Kim tells Bob that Alison is talking to Chris but Bob doesn't think Chris will change his mind. Kim says she had to try because it is so dangerous in Africa. Chris arrives and says he is still going. He thanks Kim for trying to change his mind but says leaving Oakdale is the right move for him. Bob gives his support but reminds Chris that the Chief of Staff position is still a possibility down the road. Kim asks Chris to be careful; Bob says he is proud of Chris. Bob suggests a family reunion in Paris in a few months; Chris agrees. He takes a picture on his camera phone of Bob and Kim smiling at one another. Chris says he is going to grow up, hugs Bob and Kim and then leaves.
Alison walks into The Lakeview Lounge and asks Aaron why he told Chris that he was the reason for their break up. Alison says Chris didn't cause their break up, she did! "I was getting married for the wrong reasons," she says. Allie says she loves him but she has to fix herself before they can have a future. She says she is sorry; Aaron says he is sorry, too, and starts to clean up the bar. Alison leaves and runs into Casey and tells him about talking to Chris and Aaron. They both have class but decide to blow off their classes and have fun instead.
Casey and Alison skateboard through Old Town. Casey gives Allie a skating lesson and then makes chicken noises when she hesitates. She says he'll regret that when she makes him do something girly. They skate away.
Emily returns to Dusty's room and says Meg was fine. She says she'll keep an eye on her and then kisses Dusty.
Paul returns to Fairwinds and says his talk with Dusty went well. He says things are fine as far as he is concerned and swears he is going to stop obsessing about Dusty. Meg hugs him.
