Meg and Dusty escape but can't leave, nobody will listen to Paul, James catches Derek, Brad makes a huge mistake with Jack and Katie turns to Mike for advice!
Jack stops by Brad and Katie's. Brad says he wants to make things up to Jack - and gives him a $20,000 check! Jack can't believe it. Brad says this is his way of taking responsibility. Katie is stunned. Brad explains - and digs the hole deeper - by saying he is trying to make up for Jack's lost wages. Jack says he can't buy forgiveness. He leaves. Katie tells Brad to stop acting like a child and do something right. They argue; Brad refuses to admit, still, that he was wrong about asking Jack to get rid of the evidence and also won't admit that paying him off was a faux pas. He storms out. Katie is upset. Mike arrives and she tells him everything. He tells her he is leaving town and she says they should have a last celebration together.
Mike and Katie go for a drink. She tells him more about Brad; Mike says she has to make things right with Brad. She says she is going to be Brad for the night and not worry about consequences. She orders tequila! After downing the first round, Katie orders more and starts talking about their marriage. She asks if he respects her and Mike says yes. She starts to cry and talks about Brad. Mike says she should call him but Katie refuses.
Brad goes to Al's and tells Janet about his problems. She tells him to grow up, accept responsibility and believe in Katie's love. Brad says Katie wants him to be Jack. Janet tells him to open his eyes and realize that Katie loves him - not Jack!
Paul's computer flashes and a live feed of Dusty and Meg on the beach pops up! He calls Jack and says Dusty is alive - and with Meg. Jack is shocked and says he'll be right there. By the time he arrives, the picture is gone and Paul can't find it on his hard drive. He tells Jack everything; Jack says he must have imagined it but Paul won't admit he was wrong. Jack tells him to come with him.
Jack and Paul arrive at the police station where Dallas shows Paul Dusty's death certificate. Paul says it is wrong but Dallas and Jack say it isn't. Paul gets angry and throws the papers at Dallas; he arrests Paul! Barbara arrives and asks to see him. Paul tells her Dusty is alive and won't listen when she tells him to calm down. She returns to Jack and begs him to take it easy on Paul because James is causing all of this drama.
She convinces Jack to have Paul checked out so they have him transferred to the hospital. A doctor says Paul needs rest. Barbara begs Jack to keep investigating and he agrees.
Sedated, Paul has another vision. This time he sees Dusty kissing Meg's hand; he yells for her but she doesn't listen and walks away with Dusty. Paul wakes. He grabs his clothes and sneaks out of the room!
On the beach, Dusty sees a rowboat. They start toward it but Meg has a cramp. He takes her hand to help her, saying they can't wait any longer. She is very tired and when Dusty tries to help her over she has another pain. He says she'll be fine once she is in the boat and she says she can't lose another baby! She says she has to go back for the baby's sake. Dusty hugs her. He swears he won't let anything happen to her and helps her back to the house. Once she is settled, Dusty says he'll carry her but they have to leave. Meg says she can't. He keeps pressing her to leave, saying it is their only chance. Meg agrees and Dusty leads the way back to the beach.
Bonnie is talking to Henry on the phone; she tells him not to come to Metro and promises to hold down the fort. She is getting ready for the night when Derek calls! He says he wants to see her but he is going to keep his distance until James is back in custody. She says he can hide out at Metro and he agrees to stop by. Bonnie calls Derek when he doesn't show up but he doesn't answer the phone.
Bonnie goes to the police station and asks Dallas to help her find Derek because he is in trouble. He refuses. Bonnie says Derek was worried about James and that something bad could have happened. Dallas says Meg is his priority, not Derek, but says she can file a report after he has been gone for 24 hours.
Derek runs into James and tells him that Henry is keeping their secret. James wonders why and begins arguing with Derek about what he did - or didn't - tell the police. Derek turns to go but a thug whacks him over the head and knocks him out! James takes Derek to the wine cellar, says he doesn't trust him, and locks him in!
Paul returns home but can't find the picture on his computer. He hears a noise and investigates. He finds Derek in the wine cellar! Derek begs Paul to let him out, saying he doesn't work for James any longer. He says he'll tell Paul everything if Paul will release him! Paul turns to go and Derek says he can find Meg in a cottage on Farrow Island. Paul leaves but doesn't free Derek.
Brad finds Jack at Java and goes inside. He apologizes for the check fiasco and says he was just trying to impress Katie. Jack says he knows all of this. Brad says he is going to turn himself in so that he can start making things right! Jack says he will make Katie proud.
