Thursday, September 04 2008
Jack counsels Brad to come forward, Leo wakes from the coma, Liberty asks Jack to give Janet another chance, Lily lets Holden have it and Carly turns Holden down.

At the police station, Margo asks Jack about Brad's claims against Parker. Jack says things are straightened out now and asks about Leo's case. Margo says there is no news and wonders why Jack is so interested in the case. Margo says they don't have a clue who made the call to 9-1-1. Jack keeps questioning her and she offers to put him on the case with Dallas. Jack says he doesn't want another case. Margo leaves as Carly arrives. He takes her into the interrogation room and she tells him about seeing Brad at the hospital. "I heard him say, 'I'm sorry'," she says. Jack tries to cover, saying Brad would never hurt anyone. Carly wonders why he is defending Brad all of a sudden. Jack says he doesn't know anything but Carly doesn't believe him.

Brad dreams that he is back at the reservoir and Leo is dragging him under the water! Katie runs to his side and tells him it was just another dream. She begs him to talk to Jack but Brad refuses, saying Jack will lock him up. He says his career and their life will be over if he comes forward but if he keeps quiet, things will blow over. Katie disagrees. Jack arrives and demands to know what happened. Katie admits she went to him; Brad is shocked and angry but realizes she was just trying to protect him. He finally tells Jack everything. Jack tells him he has to come forward and gives him an hour to get to the police station. He leaves. Brad apologizes to Katie, who blames herself. She thinks she should have stayed quiet. Brad says she wasn't wrong to go to Jack but is worried about going to prison. She says they can't run; Brad agrees. A hospital nurse calls to tell them that Leo is awake! She says Leo is asking for him!

At Al's, Liberty realizes Janet slept in her clothes. Janet changes the subject to her new living arrangements - without Jack. Liberty blames herself for that breakup, too.

Liberty goes to the police station and asks Jack to take a second chance on Janet! He says it was Janet's choice to leave. Liberty points out that his defense of Parker didn't make things easy on her mom. Jack agrees to talk to her.

At the hospital, Brad and Katie are about to visit Leo when Margo walks in and says she has first dibs. They wait outside; she returns shortly and they go inside. Leo says he doesn't remember everything - but he remembers enough! He admits to giving Liberty the drugged brownies and apologizes. Brad can't believe this is all he wanted to say. Leo says he doesn't remember anything about the reservoir and feels lucky that someone saved him. He asks for their forgiveness. Brad tells him to rest and they leave. In the hall, Margo asks why Leo wanted to see them. Brad says he wanted to apologize for hurting Liberty. She leaves. Brad and Katie are ecstatic that Leo doesn't remember anything else!

Jack finds Janet at Al's and asks if they can talk. They sit down and he says she doesn't have to leave. He says he doesn't want her to move out this way. She agrees to stick it out a little while longer. He grabs her suitcase and is about to leave when Brad walks in and says Leo is awake and doesn't remember anything. Brad doesn't want to come forward now but Jack says they have to tell the full story. Brad begs him to keep things quiet; Janet agrees with Brad. Jack gives in and agrees not to say anything either.

Lily quickly grabs her towel as Holden apologizes and says he should have called. "Yeah, or knocked!" she says as he hurries away. She dresses and follows him, catching up to him at the barn. Holden tells her to stop throwing Mike in his face; she says he is the one in the wrong because he barged into her home. She tells him to get used to Mike being around because they are attending the wedding together. She returns to the house, still upset, and tells Mike everything. He says he isn't going to the wedding! Mike doesn't want to encroach on family territory but Lily says he wouldn't. Mike isn't so sure and says she doesn't need this kind of pressure. "I don't, or you don't?" Lily asks. Mike says he doesn't want to put her or the kids in a tough place. Lily says he can come to the wedding as a friend and he agrees. They kiss.

Holden finds Carly at the pond and tells her about Lily. He says he isn't upset about Lily moving on, he is upset that he can't move on the way he wants - with her! She says he knows why they can't be together and walks away. Holden grabs her and kisses her! She says she doesn't want to be his second choice; he says she isn't. Holden tells her that he thinks of her every day. Carly says she can't put her kids through a relationship like this and he shouldn't want to put his kids through it either! "We had an affair!" she exclaims. Holden says their affair could last a lifetime if they work at it. He asks her to come to the wedding with him but she refuses. They ride Holden's horse back to the farm and Carly kisses his cheek. She leaves.

In the woods, Luke and Noah set up their tent while Brian helps Lucinda set up hers. She is surprised when he grabs a sleeping bag and says he is going to sleep in the men's tent. He goes into the tent as Noah and Luke are wrestling around and asks if he can take up one corner. The boys are surprised, Luke especially, because they thought he was going to make his move on Lucinda this weekend. A while later, Brian takes them into a wooded area and teaches them how to hunt mushrooms. He returns to the campsite to get a few more things ready. Lucinda and Luke don't want to hunt mushrooms but Noah points out that Brian took a lot of time in making this a fun weekend - he even cleared their sleeping area of rocks and brambles! They agree to stick it out. Lucinda spots a mushroom and goes after it but winds up with a head full of brambles. Luke helps her back to camp where Brian has finished the preparations. He sees her and gently removes the brambles from her hair. Luke and Noah are impressed with his sensitivity. Luke and Noah watch a short video clip of Lucinda in the woods and laugh. Luke brings up Noah's canceled film trip to Rome and he says the trip is back on because another student backed out. Luke is bummed but accepts that Noah has to take the trip. Noah asks him to come along but Luke can't because of the Foundation and the wedding. They are about to kiss when Brian walks into the tent to say Lucinda is napping. He asks the boys to come along with him on another hunt. They follow him into the woods.
