Spineless and Dishonest!

Wednesday, June 25 2008
Chris and Alison have their day in court, Noah receives some of The Colonel's effects, Luke makes a huge decision, Emily and Casey are nearly found out.

Noah is working at Java when Luke walks in and orders coffee. They are distant with each other until a cop walks in and asks Noah to come with him. His manager doesn't like that he is leaving in the middle of a shift but Noah leaves anyway. The cop shows him some of The Colonel's effects, which had washed up on shore in New York. Luke can't believe it. They walk to the stationhouse and the cop says The Colonels' body is still missing but he has been declared dead. Luke tells Noah to skip work for the rest of the day.

Luke takes Noah to the farm. He is very broken up about finding his dad's dog tags. Luke tries to comfort him but Noah is still very upset because he couldn't save his father. Luke grabs a couple of DVDs and then shows him a DVD of Damien. Luke tells Noah about the awful things Damien did. He says those bad things don't make it easy for him to see the greed and cruelty that Damien had because he was his father. As he talks, Noah cries because he doesn't know if he'll be just like The Colonel at some point. Luke hugs him. He asks Noah to stay a while longer but he won't stay. Luke follows him to Java and says he is done trying to convince Noah that they belong together but he'll be around if Noah needs him. Luke leaves.

At The Lakeview, Alison tells Bonnie and Aaron that she needs to be better prepared for the trial - starting with really hard questions about the meth addiction and porn movies. Bonnie asks a tough question and Alison runs to the bathroom. When she returns, she says she is ready but asks Aaron to leave the room if the DVD is used. Bonnie reassures her, saying Tom would be stupid to use the DVD.

At Emily's office, she tells Casey they have been shut out of the courtroom! She is worried about what Tom might do and Casey tries to reassure her by saying Tom has ethics. He kisses her. They break apart just as Susan walks in! She senses something and questions why Casey is there. Emily hurries her out the door.

At the hospital, Bob tells Chris he'll be at the hearing. He leaves Tom and Chris, who tells Tom he is counting on him.

Once they reach the courthouse, Tom takes Bonnie aside and tries to intimidate her. She tells him she'll take a settlement, an apology and Alison's reinstatement but that is it! She tells him that he shouldn't have tried to convince Alison not to go through with the trial and neither should his father or Chris. Tom says she won't win. In the courtroom, Aaron warns Chris again not to use the video. Alison walks in and says Chris made all of this happen. Emily and Casey arrive; she refuses to let him sit with her. Kim arrives and threatens Emily with a libel lawsuit if she doesn't stop printing "lies" about Chris. The hearing gets underway. Bonnie questions Brenda, the nursing school supervisor. She admits that Chris influenced her decision to keep Ally in the program but swears he didn't influence her to kick Ally out. Bonnie calls Alison to the stand. Bonnie asks Alison about her relationship with Chris. She says they were friends and beginning to date but that she couldn't sleep with him. She says Chris was fine until after her exam results were posted and she wouldn't sleep with him. She says the next day she was kicked out of school. The judge calls a recess and Chris tells Tom that Ally is lying about not sleeping with Aaron. "What difference does that make?" Tom asks. Chris won't answer. Tom questions Alison about her virginity and Alison reminds him that she was engaged to Chris and pregnant with is baby at one time. Tom asks more about her sexual past. Alison says she has intimacy issues and Tom is about to present the DVD when Aaron yells that this isn't fair. Bonnie calms him down and Tom reaches into his briefcase but Chris stops him. Tom decides not to use the DVD. He calls Chris to the stand. Chris admits he influenced Brenda at first because he believed in Ally. Chris says he still believes in Alison but that her grades simply weren't good enough. The judge leaves to make his decision. Alison begins to waver. Bonnie tells her that no matter what Chris said on the stand, she can't forget that he likely said different things when he was alone with Brenda.

Emily leaves the courtroom to check her messages and Casey follows. She tells him to keep his distance.

The judge returns to the courtroom and says both parties are partially guilty - Chris because he influenced Brenda and Alison because she didn't concentrate more on her school work! He decides that Alison simply wasn't ready for nursing school. Chris wins the case! Emily hurries out and calls the paper to stop the presses. Casey says he'll come along. Tom invites Casey to come celebrate with the family but he refuses. Emily tells him to go with his family. Susan tells Ally that it doesn't matter but Alison is still shell-shocked.

Casey and the other Hughes' go to The Lakeview. Kim goes on and on about Alison's lies but Casey defends her. Chris tells Casey to get out! Susan, Alison and Aaron arrive but don't go in because they see the Hughes clan inside. Susan is called back to the hospital. Alison tells Aaron she wants to be alone. When he is gone she goes inside and tells off Chris! She says she isn't the same girl who did the porno but he will always be a spineless, dishonest man.

Casey goes to Emily's office to help out. He says his family didn't want him around but Em still tries to get him to leave. After a while, she gives in and asks for a hug. Casey locks her office door!

Next on As The World Turns:

Jack admits he likes Janet.

Janet goes after Brad.

Parker and Liberty kiss.

Carly and Holden meet at camp.

i can't believe chris won that case. he and that lady brenda lied on the stand and they actually got away with it. i would have sworn their conversation where they conspiring was overheard.

Why wasn't it brought out that Chris locked Alison in the room? I agree, this was all WRONG!! Chris should have been found guilty of harassment.

Also, something needs to be done about Kim's snooty attitude. She needs to be brought down a notch or two!

I cant believe theyre making Bob and Tom so stupid. Bob should know something is up, with Chris req Allison be taken off nursing duties for no reason and it is around the time Allison is claiming all this happened plus when he overheard Chris and Brenda talking in the hallway. And then Tom not paying any attn to why hes on trail yet hes talking about Allison sleeping with Aron.. hmmmmm seems suspicious.

Go Allison! She was quite the adult in this whole situation and left "the spineless wonder boy" with egg all over his face. Time for Chris to go by-by. Agree that the Kim character has gotten real snotty. She is a lot like Margo in her idea that her kids are perfect. What in the world ever happened to Andy - the child she had with John Dixon. Time to bring some of these long lost kids back and spice up the show. Glad we are not going to see Luke following Noah around with those puppy dog eyes begging for attention. Is the character Noah being written off?

I didn't watch the episode today but read the update. I have to agree that Allison really did a good job telling Chris off. I know that the actor who played Andy Dixon is married to the actress who plays Carly, can anyone tell me what he is doing since he left the show so long ago. I know that they have five kids I believe, so was wondering if he is being Mr. Mom and that his wife is the only one working. I hope that they are writting Noah off the show as it is about time. That s/l has gone on long enough.

Why didn't Bonnie bring up the fact that Chris locked Alison in the room and tried to bully her into dropping the case?

Dumb show.

Hey Luciano what part of give me some space don't you understand. Your like a piece gum stuck to the bottom of a shoe, icky and nasty. What are you stalking Noah or something? Every time he turns around your there, like some creep who hangs out at a funeral home preying on emotional defenseless people who have lost a love one. Your just sad.

I thought that Bonnie was supposed to be some hot shot lawyer. She never called Brenda back to the stand for rebuttal against Chris. Nothing was mentioned about Allison's patient care on the floor was taken away by Chris, well after the low grade on her exam. Of course she didn't mention the obvious inprisonment of Allison by Chris in the the supply room when he locked her in there. My gosh she missed the mark entirely ... she just knuckled under and let the case slide into an heap on the floor. Surely she isn't the only "lawyer" in town besides Tom Hughes! What do you think about the possibility of an appeal?

Posted by gladiola at Wednesday, June 25 2008 06:43 PM

I can't believe Bonnie didn't bring up Chris locking Alison into the room. Some Lawyer! I wouldn't hire her.
Emily and Casey will eventually get caught. I wonder what
will happen with Meg and Paul. Will Sophie convince them or
not? I really wish she would just leave the show. She is one sickie. Goodnight, all.

I can't believe Chris won either. But I definitely think that he still wants to be with Allison even though he's trying to play it off. You can tell that he wants to be with her by the way he looks at her when he sees her and what's with the comment to Tom about Alison being in Aaron's shirt. He is jealous of Alison and Aaron's relationship. Kim definitely needs to be knocked down 3 pegs instead of two. She thinks her family is all of that but Bob, Tom and Chris have so many bones in their closets it ain't funny. I'm glad the writers are putting Carly and Holden together. something different is sometimes good. Hopefully Sofie's baby will be Coles again and not Pauls.
