I Need More Glitz Than Fizz! Wednesday, June 18 2008

Henry has a new business scheme, Holden and Lily go on a date, Ameera says her goodbyes, Luke and Noah still don't see eye to eye, Sofie tries to frame Meg.

Carly stops by the farm with JJ, surprising Holden. She says he needs supervision but she and Jack are both working. Holden says he can stay and JJ goes upstairs. She leaves and Holden follows but Lily calls, stopping him. She asks about the zip code for the camp and asks how he is. Holden asks her for a date! She accepts but later asks about his sudden change of heart. He says a little time alone is exactly what they need. Lily asks if Carly inspired the date; Holden says Carly had nothing to do with his decision. She suggests dancing to top off the night and they head for Metro.

Bonnie walks into Metro to find Henry behind the bar, filling in for Carly again. She has a check from Gray’s estate for him. Henry is floored by the amount! He thinks about Vienna. Carly returns and Henry asks if she would consider going into business with him! Henry tells her about his plan but she turns him down. Henry tells Bonnie he isn’t finished yet. Vienna walks in. Henry shows her the check but Vienna calls it dirty money! Bonnie leaves them alone. Henry says they could give up Al’s but get Metro in return. He admits Carly already turned him down. Vienna says no to the idea, too. Henry chases her down, insisting that Metro is a good investment. She says she won’t lose Al for Metro! Holden and Lily arrive at Metro; Holden takes Carly aside, trying to apologize but she blows him off and offers him free drinks. He and Lily dance for a bit and then he leaves to take a business call. Lily goes to Carly, telling her how excited she is to be back on track with Holden. Holden returns and leads Lily out; Carly watches them go. She asks Henry to hold down the fort and leaves.

Carly goes to the farm to pick up JJ. Holden comes down from the bedroom, shirtless! She apologizes for barging in as Lily joins him. She happily says they are back together. JJ comes downstairs and Carly leaves. Lily feels sorry for her friend and wonders if Jack will give Carly another chance. She returns upstairs. Holden can’t stop thinking about Carly.

Carly and JJ arrive home. She can’t stop thinking about Holden.

At The Lakeview, Paul finally convinces Meg that they need to let Sofie leave on her own and not push her out. Meg goes upstairs and doesn’t notice Cole watching from the hall.

In Barbara’s room, Sofie takes the real medication and hides it. Cole calls and she hides as Barbara calls out, wondering who is in her room. Meg walks in and says it is only her. Weak, Barbara sits on the sofa. Worried, Meg gives her a dose of the medication; neither notice as Sofie sneaks out. Paul arrives as Meg gives Babs the shot. She and Paul relax for a bit and then Meg checks on Babs and realizes her pulse is weak. Meg tells Paul to call 9-1-1!

Sofie returns to her room as Cole arrives. He confronts her about the switched meds and says he doesn’t want to murder anyone! He demands his payoff now so he can get out of town and Sofie agrees to get the money. She says there is money left in her business account. He leaves. Sofie sneaks into Barbara's suite, locks the door and gets the money from a strongbox. She swears Cole won’t get her second-chance money. In the hall, she asks a maid about Barbara and pretends to be surprised that Babs was taken to the hospital.

At the hospital, a doctor says Barbara is in bad shape. Paul goes into her room as Meg tells him about Babs treatments. The doctor leaves. She pulls the vial of morphine from her purse and realizes it is the wrong dosage. Paul comes into the hall. She tells Paul that she was certain the vial was for 4 milligrams but now the vial says 50 milligrams. He stands by her, saying she couldn’t have made that mistake. Meg can’t stop thinking about the patient she killed, though. Just then, nurses run for Barbara’s room, calling for crash carts. The doctor returns a while later and says Barbara is breathing again but not out of the woods. Meg emotionally tells the doctor about the mistake and he says they have to go to the police. Paul returns to Barbara. Meg asks the duty nurse to see the logs of medications signed out and realizes she did take a vial of 4 milligram morphine. She asks the nurse if there could have been a mistake and she says no, they would have noticed the difference in amounts. She then says a vial of 50 milligrams went missing after Meg left!

Paul arrives at The Lakeview and runs into Sofie. She tries to talk to him but he blows her off. Sofie continues to her room where Cole is waiting. She says she is certain that Paul will get rid of Meg now! She tells Cole to go but he says they have unfinished business – and kisses her! “You know you want this,” he says as they make love.

Paul returns to the hospital and Meg tells him about the missing vial. She says she suspects Sofie did made the switch!

Luke calls Noah, who is at the police station. He asks if they can meet but Noah says he is busy with Ameera. Luke says he’ll be right there. Ameera tells Noah she is going back to a friend of her family’s as Luke walks in. She says they can be together now, the way they deserve to be. She hugs the boys and leaves. The guys walk for a bit and Luke tries talking about their relationship, but Noah won’t. Luke won’t take no for an answer so they walk to Java. Noah asks about Reg and admits he saw them together. Luke can’t believe he thinks Luke would move on so fast. Noah gets quiet. Luke asks if he really thinks Luke would turn to Reg so fast. Noah doesn’t deny he has doubts and Luke angrily wonders why he keeps falling for the wrong guys. He walks out.
