Luke and Noah search New York, the Colonel attacks Noah, Paul kisses Meg, Sofie is still obsessed with Paul, Meg makes a startling revelation to Mike, Chris and Alison argue.
Luke and Noah arrive in New York, looking for Ameera. Noah is very worried for her and what the Colonel may do to her. Luke wonders if Ameera is with the Colonel of her own free will! Luke walks down the street and a street performer tells Noah to ditch Luke and he'll give him a message! Luke returns and Noah says they should split up, worrying Luke. Finally, Noah says the performer delivered a message from Coyle but he has to go alone. Luke doesn't like the idea and says he'll tag along! Noah thinks he has convinced Luke to stay behind but Luke follows him.
Meanwhile, in the dingy apartment, the Colonel wakes Ameera and gives her a drugged drink. Ameera catches on and when his back is turned, she dumps out the drink. Ameera pretends to fall back asleep. The Colonel receives a phone call and tells the caller that he'll take care of Noah. He watches Ameera for a few minutes and then leaves. When she is alone, Ameera grabs her jacket and head-scarf and sneaks out.
Noah turns a corner and while he is out of sight of Luke, the Colonel grabs him. He hides with Noah and says he is taking Ameera and leaving the country. Noah won't hear of that. The Colonel tells Noah to stop looking for Ameera and get out of his way - or else! He tries to intimidate Noah but Noah won't back down. The Colonel slugs Noah and tells him to stay out of the way! He storms off.
On the street, Luke runs into Ameera and asks what is going on. She tells him about being drugged and following the Colonel but doesn't know more. Luke spots a cop and decides to bring in the police. Ameera tries to stop him but Luke plunges forward - and Ameera is taken into custody! Noah appears and tells Luke they have to hurry. Luke tells him what happened with Ameera. Noah begins looking for precincts, hoping to find Ameera. The Colonel calls and demands to know what Noah did with the girl!
At the hospital, Meg finds Chris in a break room. She has just finished her first shift. He looks kind of down so she asks what is going on. He tells her he needs to apologize to Alison and she lets it slip that Allie stayed at the farm the night before! Mike walks in just after Chris leaves. Meg is freaking out because her dress for the party is missing. He grabs her purse and says they'll fix it. They leave.
Mike takes Meg to Fashions but she doesn't want him to buy her dress. He pulls her inside anyway, charming her as he does so. Meg tries on a black dress; Mike tells the saleswoman to ring it up but Meg is still worried about the cost. Mike says cost doesn't matter and she can donate the dress to charity after the party tonight.
Alison wakes at the farm. In the kitchen, Aaron makes breakfast. She admits she isn't ready to see Chris. After breakfast, she thanks him for being a friend. Chris walks in and gets the wrong idea because Allie is still in Aaron's tee-shirt. Chris demands to see Alison alone but Aaron won't leave her side. He asks why she is messing with his head. Alison angrily says Aaron is just a friend - a friend who doesn't remind her of her porno-past. Chris keeps pushing until Aaron steps in and tells him to back off. Allie tells him to find another charity case to "help" through school. He walks out. Later, Aaron suggests they hang out later; she says she has to finish her hospital shift first.
Chris returns to the hospital. Brenda tracks him down, telling him that Allie's work in the lab is sub-par. Chris tells her to do what she has to do! Brenda is shocked and asks why Chris isn't defending Allie more. "I don't think Alison Stewart deserves any special treatment," he says!
At The Lakeview, Barbara calms down a nervous Sofie with a pre-party make-over. Sofie hurries upstairs hoping to finally attract Paul. After she is made up and her hair is done, she imagines Paul is with her. Sofie takes off her robe and asks him to help her dress! He zips the dress and says she is beautiful.
Meanwhile back in the lounge, Paul asks Barbara if everything is on track. He brings up Mike and Meg and Babs begs him not to make a scene with Meg - for Sofie's sake. She reminds him how much money she has put into Sofie's new business and Sofie's apparent obsession with him. He doesn't listen. Paul goes upstairs and bursts into Barbara's room as Sofie is getting dressed. Sofie asks him to help her with her dress and he reluctantly zips her up. He says she looks beautiful. He asks for the price list and she emotionally thanks him for buying her dress. Paul says it was just another investment and didn't mean anything but Sofie is certain it does. She trips and he catches her. They go downstairs together.
At the party, Paul and Sofie are photographed by reporters. Barbara stands to the side, watching the show. Mike and Meg arrive, distracting Paul. Barbara asks Paul to introduce Sofie to the crowd. Paul talks about Sofie's jewelry line and her artistic talent. She takes center stage as Paul makes a beeline for Mike and Meg. He offers them champagne and tells them to enjoy the party. Paul compliments Meg's dress and she smiles at Mike. Barbara takes Meg aside and asks about Mike. Meg tells her Mike is a friend and then informs Babs she has lifted the restraining order. Babs asks about Mike again and Meg insists they are just good friends. Meg sees Mike and goes to him. He says there is an emergency at the farm and he has to go; Meg decides to remain at the party. Paul approaches and guides Meg through the jewelry displays. They run into Barbara who finally admits she is very tired. Meg takes her upstairs. Paul follows.
Meg delivers Barbara upstairs. When she is asleep, Paul comes in and asks if things are okay. Meg assures him Babs is just tired. Laughing, he asks if this was just a ploy to get him alone. Meg says they aren't alone. Paul quietly asks if it would be a bad idea if they kissed. Meg waits and he kisses her! He says if she'd give him a chance he could surprise her much more than with one kiss. They return to the party, where Sofie has been watching for him. He tells Sofie to concentrate on the party and impressing her new clients.
Meg returns to the farm. Mike walks in. She admits she is still in love with Paul, stunning Mike.
Paul returns to Fairwinds. Sofie walks in, says Paul deserves a proper thank you and undresses!
