Casey and Emily try to make it at work without one another. Alison tries to make it as a nurse without Chris's help. Holden and Lily can't make things right between them.

Emily and Casey arrive at her Intruder office, and she is rattled by a flight delay causing them to fall behind with work. Emily signs off on a copy and tells Casey they are going to have to work overtime, but he sneaks in from behind and kisses her neck. She pulls away and asks him what he is doing. Casey does not understand what the problem is and Emily insists to him there is no "us," but he argues they had a great time in New York and what happened between them was hot. She firmly states what happened was a one-time thing and his parents would have her head on a platter. Casey wonders how she can expect him to be in a room alone with her and not want her. Emily agrees and says she has no choice but to fire him. Casey angrily tells her not to worry and that he is quitting. Emily ends up calling a temp to replace Casey and she throws a ton of work at him as she leaves, but when she comes back, he throws her papers at her and tells she is a witch and no paycheck is worth having to work with her.

Alison tells the other nurses, Faye and Amy, she is so relieved she passed the test. Chris approaches and asks how she did. She smiles that she passed thanks to him. He kisses her and walks off as the other nurses look on. Alison says they are obviously talking about her and to just say it to her face. Faye tells her not everyone can get through by sleeping with the right person but it helps to have experience. Amy defends her and Alison thanks her. She walks into the lounge and sees Chris. She asks him not to help her anymore. She explains it was awesome he helped her get a makeup test but she doesn't want any special treatment. Chris says that she learns from her mistakes but Alison says it feels like she is cutting corners and wants him to respect her wishes and back off. Chris doesn't understand why she won't let him help her and feels that he is being punished for something he didn't do. Alison pleads this is about her and not him. Chris doesn't want to fight and leaves the lounge. Tom witnesses the exit and asks what the fight was all about. Chris doesn't know and thinks Alison is impossible to figure out. Tom wonders if this is what he needs in his life right now and points out he needs to work hard to not be known as the "Chief's Kid." Chris says Alison doesn't hurt other people, but Tom says that it affects those around her. Chris thinks he can help her and can't walk away because there is something special about her.

Carly calls Holden at the farm and asks if the girls can come over and help Sage with a school project. Lily walks in and wants to talk but Holden does not. Lily doesn't want to live in the house like two strangers and Holden thinks that is what they are. Faith and Natalie walk in and want to know why everything is falling apart. Lily insists everything is fine and they were talking about the girls going over to see Sage. As they go upstairs, Holden tells them everything is fine but Faith says they can't be happy if Holden and Lily are not. Lily thinks they should act more loving together but Holden doesn't want to put on an act. Lily states the truth is that she loves him, but Holden feels tricked and thinks she is playing games. Lily yells that she can't win with him and asks if he wants her to go away again. Holden says he didn't say that and the girls arrive to leave. Lily tells the girls not to worry, but looks worried as they leave.

Lucinda arrives at the farm to see Lily sitting on the porch and asks why Lily didn't call her. She asks how everything is going with Holden. Lily informs her that she violated Holden's code of ethics. Lucinda believes Holden is self-righteous, but thinks Lily should own up to everything she has ever done and apologize because Holden's middle name is honesty. Lily doesn't believe anything she does will help. Lucinda wonders when was the last time a husband complained for his wife wanting sex. Lucinda firmly tells Lily that Holden is her husband and he should start acting like it and she has the right to expect him to do so.

Casey storms into the Hughes home as Margo is eating lunch. He yells Emily is impossible to work with and Margo laughs. Margo suggests going back to college but Casey gets frustrated and leaves again. He goes to see Lisa but she tells him she can't give him his job back because of hotel policy. She tells him to go back to school. Casey tells her he understands why he can't have his job back and leaves. He runs into Emily who informs him he has already been replaced. Lisa approaches and Emily walks off saying that she and Casey have nothing to say to one another. Lisa hands Casey a letter that arrived for him and as he says good-bye to his Grandma, Emily watches. Margo arrives at the Lakeview and informs Emily that Casey told her what happened between the two of them. Emily is not sure what Margo knows and tries to get away from her. Margo follows her and says something good came from Casey's work at the Intruder, because now he knows to stay as far away from her as humanly possible. Lisa tells Margo she felt bad about turning Casey down for a job. They both laugh about telling him to go back to school. Lisa says that Margo never would have admitted her mother was right at Casey's age. Margo doesn't know what to do with Casey but Lisa says not to worry and Casey will see the light. Margo admits she is just relieved he is not working for Emily anymore.

Sage wants to call Jack so he can see their play that she is putting together but Carly won't let her. Sage says it was fun when Jack slept over and wants to do it again but Carly says he won't be doing that. Holden and the girls arrive and Carly says she will call them when they are done. The girls don't want Holden to leave and Carly wants him to stay, too. Carly thanks him for staying. Holden says the girls have been having a rough time and this might help. Carly tells him he has every reason to be angry with her but hopes he will forgive her. Holden admits he is disappointed but one day he hopes he can get over her betrayal. Carly pleads she felt like she owed Lily, and is really tired of seeing that disappointed look on people's faces. Carly and Holden sit on the sofa and watch the girls act out a story about children whose parents are always fighting, but how they work it out to get back together. Carly and Holden cheer them on but seem sad. The girls leave to get changed and Carly says she wishes she could give Sage what she wants, "The picture perfect family." As they leave, Holden and Carly smile at one another and wish the other good luck with their families.

Susan finds Alison at Java studying. She congratulates her on passing her exam but points out that she barely squeaked by and hopes she will buckle down and study hard. Alison says she will. Susan goes on that people can't pull strings for her. Alison says that she doesn't want her help or Chris's help. Susan smiles that she knows she can do it. Alison heads back to the hospital, where Casey finds her and hands her a letter for her from Matt. She asks him to stay with her as she opens it. The letter apologizes to her about lying and that she is an awesome girl and he will never forget her. She thanks Casey for bringing her the letter. Amy walks in and Alison thanks her again for her sticking up for her. She introduces Casey to Amy and as he is leaving Amy signals for Alison to ask him to stay. Alison suggests that they all go get a drink and studying can wait. They head to a bar, as Emily walks in to see the trio.

Sage sees Carly looking at the crystal ball the girls used in the play. Sage says she knows that Carly wants to call Jack. She insists Carly call Jack and tell him about the play but Carly puts down the phone. Back at the farm, Holden tells Lily the play confirmed what they already knew and that their children are hurting. Holden says they can't go backwards. Lily thinks they can get back to what is important, which is love. Holden thinks they need to learn how to love one another again. She tearfully tells him she already loves him and that is where they differ and leaves.

holden is making me mad...he asked lily to come back to him...he needs to stop sending mixed signals to her. Either he wants her or not.

In my opinion, they need to bring love interests for Lilly and especially for Carly. I am really sick and tired of self-righteous Holden and Jack. I want the foursome back together, but Holden and Jack need something to shake them up a little. Carly has been way too patient.

I will agree with you two. but I also think that Liberty mom needs to get lost and not mass up Brad and Katie. this show needs at least one couple to stay together instand off sleeping around on each other.

Holden irritates me to no end. I think that he uses the kids as a crutch and a way to manipulate and avoid Lily. He knew that without them around to distract him, he would want to be intimate with his wife. He's just mad at himself because he gave into his true feelings, and now, he has no excuse to be upset. He gets power out of chastising Lily, but after a passionate night, he can't rightfully keep rejecting her. Casey deserves better than Emily...I guess that she's like a family heirloom now that she's been with several of the men in the Hughes family, and its time for them to retire her! Janet has some nerve. After years of separation from Brad with no attempts to contact him, now she wants to come back and wreck a marriage? Get outta here! And Katie needs to stop playing victim. She's such a child. If every man that you marry is distracted by something else, it may be something about you. Frankly, I'd be bored with her babydoll shennanigans.

Emily has become such an unpleasant character to watch, the writers have made her completely unlikable. I remember when she and Hal first fell in love, I used to really like her.Oh well, that was then I guess.

As for Jack and Holden both of them seem to have double standards because as I recall neither one of them is a saint. Carly and Lily have far too much going for them to be falling all over themselves trying to get those jerks to take them back. I think the writers need to give them a bit more dignity.

This story is PATHETIC! Holden is all self righteous, I hate him. This soap should be taken off the air and ring another interesting soap on or give the Bold & Beautiful more time. Do the writers actually think Holden & Jack acting the way they do is HOT or interesting or cute, ITs NOT!!!!

I can't believe stupid Holden is all upset because his wife wanted to have a romantic evening with him, I wish his character would just drop dead or something, What does he do for a living anyway? does he even have a job?

You know, Holden and Lily could have could have moved on after the set up if Carly had'nt of kept asking how was your night alone with Lily and no kids? I'm glad Lily is moving back home (with the kids). Give Emma's house a rest. Let the children have their own rooms again. Emma needs a break. Non paid bed and breakfast, free sitter for Ethan and the girls. Jack, Holden, Luke, Noah, Ameera, Vienna, Meg no wonder she wants to sell part of the farm. Who shops for all these comings and goings, who helps with the utilities?

Lilly needs to go to a counselor because what Holden is doing is emotional abuse. It seems he conveniently forgot,
Julie Wendall, Marsha McKay, Janice Maxwell, Tracey Donnelly, Rose D'Angeloand Julia Larrabee. So his past is not so spectacular either.

I think Janet should hook up with jack... something unexpected. then brad feels jealous.. tho loves katie. carly does need someone normal... i could see her with holden, them together and trying to meld the families.. and lily understanding over time. let holden and carly fall in love by surprise.. and have everyone go OHhh ok.. jack with janet.. let lily heal.. and eventually move on

hate story with emily and casey.. she's like another brooke on b&b... has to sleep with ALL the hugh's
