Janet intrudes on a taping at WOAK. Liberty and Parker skip school again. Bob tells Chris about Alison's troubles in nursing school. Luke confronts Ameera; Noah defends Ameera!
Noah leaves the cottage to get some work done on campus. As soon as she is alone, Ameera calls the prison and asks for Col. Mayer! Luke arrives and listens. She spots him and angrily asks why he is spying on her. Luke asks why she is going behind Noah's back to contact the Colonel. Ameera says she is just trying to help Noah get to the truth but Luke doesn't believe her. He finds Noah in Old Town and tells him his suspicions. Noah says Ameera had every right to call his father and insists she was only trying to help him. Luke can't believe him. As they argue, Ameera listens. Noah keeps defending her, saying his wife wouldn't try to hurt him. Luke storms off. Ameera comes over to apologize. She says she was only trying to help him and Noah buys her explanation. He says he didn't doubt her but he is very worried about Luke!
Luke returns to the farm as Lucinda arrives with bags of goodies for the girls. Luke sits down, telling her about his fears for Noah and their relationship. Lucinda sees Noah at the door and tells Luke not to give up hope. After Lucinda leaves, Noah apologizes for not listening to his fears about Ameera. He says he still doesn't think she is trying to hurt him. Luke apologizes for trying to put a wedge between them, but says he couldn’t forgive himself if anything happened to Noah because of Ameera. They hug.
At WOAK, Katie and Brad are shooting a segment when Janet walks in. The camera man focuses on her. Kim stops everything to ask Janet what she is doing there. Brad introduces everyone and tells Kim about Liberty. They begin shooting again but Janet interrupts, saying they are doing the segment - an Italian cooking segment - wrong! She takes over, showing the audience how to correctly cut garlic. Brad is very intrigued by Janet's cooking prowess; Katie isn't. She gets annoyed when Janet offers Brad a taste. Janet offers her a taste, too, but then drips the sauce down her dress! They finish taping. Kim approaches, saying the segment was great! Kim tastes the food and so does the camera man; everyone loves it. Janet offers her services as a fill-in for Katie but Kim cuts her off, saying they don't need any help right now. Katie takes Brad aside. He defends Janet, saying she was only trying to help. Katie thinks Janet has plenty of ulterior motives. She says she wants him to have a relationship with Liberty - but Janet has to go! Brad leaves. Kim talks to Katie, asking if everything is really okay. Katie tries to be strong but Kim sees through it. She tells her that Brad loves her - not Janet. Then, she reassures Katie that Janet will not be taking her place - at home or at WOAK!
Brad and Janet go to The Lakeview. She chatters on about how great she was on WOAK and thanks Brad for giving her a start in show-biz. Brad interrupts and says that she isn't going to have a job at WOAK and that there is no future for them, either. Janet is stunned. Brad apologizes and says she is a great girl but that his only interest in her is because of Liberty. He says she needs to go. Janet sadly begins to pack.
Liberty finds Parker at the diner, tells him that Janet wrote her a sick note and she is out of school for the day. She shows him a wad of cash and asks him to help her spend it. Parker wonders why Liberty doesn't care about what Janet, Brad or Katie want for her life. Liberty says she is an adult and then goes on about Janet's relationship with Brad - and other men! The more Liberty talks, the more worried he becomes because she talks about Janet's lovers and love-life as if she has all the inside information. Parker packs up to return to school but Liberty challenges him to stay with her. Later, they return to the hotel just as Janet is about to leave. Liberty can't believe Janet is leaving her there but pretends not to care. Brad reassures Liberty, saying that he and Katie will be there for her but Janet has to go home. Janet and Brad leave. Parker asks if Liberty is really okay; she says Janet was never a good mom anyway. She tells him to get a movie ready and refuses to talk any more.
Downstairs, Brad promises to take good care of Liberty. Sad, Janet leaves. Katie returns as she leaves and tells Brad that everything will be okay now. He kisses her passionately.
Alison is cramming with another nursing student when Chris walks up. The other student leaves when Chris asks if they can talk. Alison follows him into an exam room. Chris says they'll have another chance for the perfect evening. Allie says they won't - because she won't let that happen again! She leaves. Bob finds Chris a while later and warns him that Alison is having trouble in school. He says she could flunk out! Chris isn't sure he can help because of the way Allie's been acting. He finds her a little while later at Java and apologizes for pushing her toward a romance. He says he knows she needs to concentrate on school - and offers to be her tutor! Chris gets straight to work, offering Alison some hints about remembering the nerve structure of the face.
