Lily's Back But Holden's Not Happy! Thursday, May 08 2008

Liberty and Parker have some down time. Brad and Katie are surprised by Janet. Carly reopens Metro; Sofie helps Paul surprise Meg. Lily comes home!

Lucinda arrives at the farm with Lily in tow. She rushes to the girls and then takes her things upstairs. When she returns, the girls ask why she didn't come home the other night. Lily says she just needed a little more time. She asks about Holden and Faith says he is at Metro with Carly. Lily decides to go to the opening. Faith and Natalie help her pick out a dress. With the girls distracted, Lily asks Lucinda what is going on. Lucinda says the girls just need a little reassuring. Once she is dressed, Lily worries that Holden won't want to see her. Lucinda assures her that he will. After Lily leaves, Lucinda goes to the porch and finds Faith watching the road. She wonders if Holden and Lily will stay together this time.

Brad and Katie take Liberty to her own room at The Lakeview. She thanks them and starts to explore her new surroundings. Brad and Katie leave; Brad says they should go to Metro to enjoy the evening. She worries about leaving Liberty alone but Brad says things will be fine. Just then they hear a crash from inside her room. They return to find a broken lamp. Brad says she'll have to pay for it from her allowance - if Katie agrees she can have one. Brad mentions Metro; Liberty tells them to go because she is just going to watch a movie. Brad tells her no guests are allowed and she agrees. As soon as she is alone, Liberty calls Parker and invites him to the hotel. Liberty cons him, telling him that the doorman is hitting on her and weirding her out. When Parker arrives and doesn't find a doorman, he wonders what she is up to. Liberty says she wants to have some fun.

In her room, Sofie is putting the finishing touches on a few pieces of jewelry. She can't stop thinking about making love with Paul. Barbara arrives and Sofie admits she is lonely. To distract her, Babs shows her the dress she bought for the Metro reopening. Sofie is blown away.

Meg meets Mike at The Lakeview for a business meeting with the project landscaper. Mike has bad news - the landscaper canceled. He invites her to come to Metro with him but Meg hesitates. Mike convinces her that no one will think them going together is strange and that she can't keep hiding out from Paul.

Meanwhile, at Metro, Holden helps Carly with the finishing touches for the opening. Jack arrives to help, too, and she says everything is under control. Annoyed, Jack asks Holden what he is trying to accomplish with Carly. Holden tells Jack that he is just being a friend and that nothing is going on but Jack doesn't believe him. Barbara and Sofie arrive. Barbara talks up Sofie's jewelry line. Carly finds Holden, excited that the opening is going well. Brad and Katie arrive, handing out cigars for Brad's new "baby" girl! Jack asks how Liberty is doing but Brad is distracted by fans. He leaves. Jack asks Katie how things are really going and she insists things are perfect. Meg and Mike arrive next. Sofie calls Paul and says she wants to help him win Meg back. She tells him Meg just arrived at Metro. Katie runs into Mike and explains about Brad's teenage daughter. Brad and Katie leave the party. Mike gets a little wobbly on his bad ankle so Meg helps him to a booth. Paul arrives and meets Meg at the bar. Mike sees them and, worried, tells Jack to have Paul arrested! Meg stops him, saying that Paul wasn't trying to harm her. Paul goes to Sofie, who is alone, and thanks her for alerting him to the party. Holden asks Carly to dance with him. A few minutes later, Lily arrives! Holden goes to Lily, asking why she is back. She says she finally realized she wasn't whole without him. They leave. Jack asks Carly how she is doing without Holden. Carly points out - again - that Holden is just a friend. Paul and Sofie dance as Meg watches. Mike offers to take her home. Paul has been watching her and pulls away from Sofie after Meg leaves. He congratulates her on the jewelry line and leaves. Barbara goes straight to Sofie and asks what is going on. Sofie pretends not to have been affected by Paul and says she is ready to get on with her life - and her business! At the door, Jack offers to be Carly's right-hand-man now that Lily's back for Holden. Carly tells him she'll be fine on her own.

Brad and Katie return to the hotel. She decides they should check on Liberty. She keeps them out of her room by saying she's naked! When they leave, Liberty helps Parker sneak out. Liberty calls Parker later and tries to watch television with him over the phone. Parker won't do it, saying there are rules he has to follow. Liberty says he shouldn't worry about rules so much.

Back in their room, Katie is getting ready for bed when a strange woman knocks on the door. It's Janet! Katie is not thrilled with this new development. Janet says she just couldn't stay away. She makes herself comfortable and says they need to talk about Liberty. Katie says they should talk tomorrow, since it's so late. Brad walks Janet to the door; she says she hadn't thought about where she would stay. Brad leads her to Liberty's room. She is very surprised to see her mom. Brad and Katie leave the room. Janet hugs Liberty. "This is the life," she exclaims!

Brad and Katie, finally alone, make love. Katie can't concentrate and asks him about Janet. He tells her he was a kid and he didn't know what he was doing back then. Now, he says, he knows what love is really all about. He kisses her and they make love.

Holden and Lily return home. Holden goes upstairs to check on the kids. Lily tells Lucinda things are going well; Lucinda leaves. Holden returns. Lily says she is very happy to be home and she wants to make love. She kisses him but Holden holds back. "I need some time," he says. Lily asks why he doesn't want her anymore. He kisses her cheek and goes upstairs. Lily wonders where she went wrong.
