The Colonel contacts Ameera. Margo can't believe Casey. Emily helps Casey out. Alison gets cold feet with Chris.
Casey swears that he doesn't know how the manuscript got into his backpack but Margo can't believe him. Tom arrives. Margo shows him the stolen manuscript; Casey says he doesn't know where it came from and begs them to believe him. "We don't," Margo says! Tom asks how the switch could have happened and Casey explains that he was working with Emily on a story about the thefts. He thinks Elwood is setting him up. Margo still doesn't believe him but Casey sticks to his story. When Margo goes off on a tangent about how guilty Casey looks, Tom tells her to calm down. Casey bravely tells her to go ahead and arrest him! Margo keeps pressing him. Aggravated, Casey storms out, swearing that he'll prove he didn't steal the manuscript! Casey goes straight to Java, where Elwood is having coffee. Casey demands to know why he was set up! Elwood threatens to get Casey in even more trouble if he doesn't leave him alone.
A tough guy meets with Emily at her office. She pays him to keep an eye out for the missing manuscripts. Casey arrives a while later and tells Emily about Elwood and the manuscripts. Emily thinks Casey might have something. She gets a call from her informant and tells Casey there could be a break in the case. They go to a shop in Old Town; Em waits outside. She ducks behind a corner when she sees Margo and Tom approaching. Margo spots Casey and barges inside! She believes this is proof that he is the thief and tries to arrest him. Casey spots Elwood outside and runs for it! Elwood takes off but Emily is around the corner and slows him down so that Casey can catch up. Casey grabs Elwood's backpack. "I told you," he says when Margo looks inside. The manuscripts are there! She has Elwood arrested. When Margo asks what they are doing there, Casey tells her about the tip and how Em believed in him. Margo apologizes for not believing in him but Casey doesn't want to hear it.
At the cottage, Noah gives Ameera a cooking lesson. She wipes a little flour off his face as he tells her about life on Army bases. Luke arrives, upset, and apologizes for deciding to move in and then refusing to wait for Noah. They hug as Ameera comes in from the kitchen. She takes a call outside and when she returns, the boys realize she is upset. Ameera says the warden called and Col. Mayer has summoned her to the prison! She isn't sure how to handle the situation; Noah volunteers to go instead. Luke wants to go, too, but Noah says he should stay behind. Ameera doesn't want either of them to go but Noah insists. Luke stays with Ameera. Colonel Mayer is surprised to see Noah in the visiting room. Noah angrily tells him to stop contacting Ameera. The Colonel says Ameera is none of Noah's business; Noah shows him the wedding ring and says Ameera is very much his business! The Colonel goads him, asking if the marriage is real. Noah nearly admits that it is all a fake but stops just in time. The Colonel just keeps pushing, telling Noah that his business with Ameera is none of Noah's business. When Noah won't back down, the Colonel grabs him and threatens him! A guard pulls him off of Noah and he is taken back to his cell. Noah meets up with Luke and Ameera at the diner and fills them in. Luke is worried that the Colonel might spill the beans on their plans. Upset, Ameera apologizes for bringing the boys into her troubles and leaves. Noah follows her. He returns a little while later; Ameera stays outside. Noah tells Luke that he can handle the Colonel and that the Colonel doesn't want anything from them. Luke doesn't think things are that simple. "I wish we had never gotten involved in this," Luke says.
Outside, Ameera calls the prison to speak with the Colonel. The Colonel comes to the phone; Ameera asks what he wants from her. "I miss you," he says soothingly, "Are you still my girl?" She says she'll always be his girl. He hangs up. Ameera looks in the window at Noah.
Alison surprises Chris at the hospital for their date. He wonders if she is over her fears about their workplace romance and Alison says she is. She says she wants flowers and chocolates and lots of romance. Then, asks if he is up to the challenge! They go to The Lakeview. Alison brings up the bachelor auction when she "bought" Chris for a night. Chris remembers the night vividly. Allie plays footsie with him as he orders. Allie says all she wants is dessert - upstairs! They cancel his order and quickly go to Chris' room. They begin to make love but Alison gets cold feet and tells Chris to stop. Worried, he asks what is wrong but she can't explain. Chris asks her to just lie down with him, no pressure. She can't relax and grabs her things. "I'm sorry," she says and hurries out.
