Brad's A Dad? Monday, May 05 2008

Brad gets the paternity test results. Parker and Liberty skip school. Aaron and Alison argue about Chris; Kim gives Chris relationship advice. Casey tracks down a manuscript theft.

At WOAK, Brad tells Katie he doesn't want to lose her. Katie says she likes Liberty and they will be fine. Brad is worried, though, and begs her to be honest if she ever decides she wants a different life than the one he can give her. She says he has nothing to worry about but when Brad keeps pressing the issue, she sarcastically says he hasn't been as much fun lately. Then, she says she isn't with him just for fun! They return to the hotel and are about to make love when they realize Liberty left popcorn in the bed! Brad checks the mini-bar and realizes Liberty has eaten everything in the place. Just then, Susan calls and asks him to come to the hospital for the results. At the hospital, Brad signs the appropriate papers and then looks in the envelope - he's Liberty's dad! Katie hugs him and Susan congratulates them both. Brad is very excited and tells Katie how much Liberty already means to him. Katie sits down, telling Brad that Liberty is smart and funny - just like him - and that he is going to be a great dad. They leave to find her.

Outside the high school, Liberty convinces Parker to skip school with her! After a while, Parker is bored and turns to go but when Liberty teases him he changes his tune. They shop for a while and then go to the diner. As they eat, Parker shows her his video game. As he is leaving, Liberty says he has to figure out their plan for tomorrow. They are almost back at school when they run into Brad and Katie. Liberty makes up a story about needing air; Brad thinks it's the mean girls again. He is about to confront the principal when Liberty stops him. Brad says they need to talk and Liberty says now is a great time! They go to the diner and Brad spills the beans. Liberty hugs him and says she knew he was her dad all along.

At the hospital, Alison and another nursing student are complaining about their class load and a tough teacher. Chris arrives with flowers. Alison says he has to stop because his actions are making things hard for her at school. He apologizes but then asks for another dinner date! She says no. He apologizes for almost kissing her in his room. Uncomfortable, she leaves. Chris runs into Kim, who says he needs to be very careful about getting into a relationship with Alison! Chris sings Allie's praises and Kim admits she is a smart girl, but she warns Chris that a relationship is a bad idea.

At The Intruder, Casey brings Emily coffee and teases her about her bad pool skills. She tells him about a story - someone has stolen valuable Civil War documents from Oakdale U - but he already knows about it and offers to be her on-campus contact. Then, he says he'll report on the story! She questions him but when he can't even tell her where the manuscripts were displayed, she says he can't have the job. Emily goes to the police department and tries to question one of her contacts but Margo sees her and interrupts. Em asks why Margo won't let her do her job! Margo brings up the prostitution, telling Emily that all prostitutes have mental problems! Frustrated with Margo, Emily leaves.

Casey ignores Emily and meets with Elwood at Java. He questions him and reluctantly says he'll check into it. Alison walks in and they chat for a second. She is about to leave when Aaron walks up and asks how things are going. Alison says she's about to flunk out of school; Aaron says Meg will help her. After talking to Meg, Allie feels better. She asks him about Sofie and he says that relationship is over. When he talks badly about Chris, Allie tells him to butt out! She says she never bad-mouthed Sofie while Aaron was seeing her and she would appreciate the same courtesy. Aaron says Chris is a proven snake. As he is ordering coffee, Chris walks in and asks Allie to dinner. She agrees to go!

Casey and Emily meet back at the office. She won't let him in on the story. He goes home but no one is there. Elwood sneaks in behind him! He looks at Casey's backpack. Margo arrives home, sees Casey's backpack askew and finds the missing manuscript pages inside! Casey comes downstairs and Margo asks what is going on. Casey accuses her of not believing in him and asks when she is going to stop thinking of him as a thief.
