We Belong Together...

Tuesday, April 01 2008
Carly tries to make Jack see reason; Brad tries to woo Katie. Emma decides to sell the farm. Paul thinks owning the farm will help him win Meg's heart. Will and Gwen make a big decision.

Will returns to the cottage and Gwen tells him about Barbara's suggestion and Sofie's offer! Will is stunned and wonders what Sofie is really after. Gwen says as much as she wants to help Babs, this could be their chance to put themselves - and Hallie - first. Will tells her to start packing.

Barbara arrives at Fairwinds and asks Paul to help her convince Will and Gwen to move on - literally - with their lives. Paul wonders what Barbara is really up to and she says she owes it to Will to let him have a life free of Oakdale and Sofie. He reluctantly agrees to stand by her and they leave for the cottage. They barge straight in, telling Will and Gwen that they can handle things in Oakdale. They talk over one another for several minutes until Will interrupts and says they just decided to leave for a while. Paul and Will talk quietly for a while. Paul apologizes for taking Sofie's side but explains that he was just trying to be fair to all sides. Will forgives him. Barbara asks for their plans and convinces them to stay for a farewell party. She leaves.

Holden and Lily are in the kitchen when Emma drops a bomb on them - she is considering selling the majority of the farm! She says she'll keep the main house, barn and pond but the rest she could sell for development so that she doesn't have to worry about taxes and things. "I've lost my passion for farming," she says. Holden is stunned but Emma stands firm. Lily offers to buy the farm so that it can stay in the family but Emma wouldn't have the financial worries. Emma says she doesn't want that. Lucinda arrives with fancy boots and clothes for Natalie and Faith. They tell her about selling the farm; Lucinda thinks that is a great idea. As they talk, Meg arrives. She is thrown by Emma's decision but supports it. Lucinda pipes up that she'll buy the farm. The Snyders' are all stunned. Lucinda promises them a good price and says Worldwide could make the farm a refuge for many more people. Meg reminds Lucinda that Paul is now the CEO of Worldwide. Emma says she'll never sell to Paul Ryan! Meg tells her that Paul would be a good owner for the land but Holden backs up Emma. Lucinda and Lily convince them all to talk to Paul before making any decision. Meg calls him. When Paul arrives he is concerned to see the Snyder clan and Lucinda at the kitchen table. They tell him about Emma's plans to sell. Holden says Meg doesn't come with the deal! Paul makes a mini-presentation, promising to take care of the land the way Emma would and to protect the wildlife. All of them are impressed. Gwen calls to speak with Lucinda; she leaves. Paul takes Meg outside so they can talk privately. Holden, Lily and Emma worry about Paul's influence over Meg. Lucinda leaves. Outside, Paul tells Meg he is looking forward to seeing her more. Meg fires back that his buying the farm has nothing to do with their relationship and that she won't take him back. Paul says he won't give up.

Lucinda arrives at the cottage and Gwen tells her about moving out of town. Lucinda supports their decision and wishes them well. Gwen and Will settle in for the night with Hallie by telling her a bedtime story about the good fairy who brought Hallie to them.

Carly makes Jack comfortable on the couch after lunch. She offers him several desserts, saying she wants to pamper him. Jack says he doesn't want anything except for her to stop trying so hard! Carly becomes annoyed but realizes she does need to back off a little. Jack reminds her that this living arrangement isn't permanent. She asks what would make him change his mind. Jack doesn't answer and Carly believes Katie is still standing between them. Jack says this has nothing to do with Katie and everything to do with their history. He says Carly isn't capable of changing her ways! She gets coffee and then tells Jack she can change into anything he might want - even a Katie clone. Annoyed, he struggles to his feet but has trouble with his wound. Carly returns to her nursing duties and tells Jack that she has learned her lesson this time. She says she knows how to be a better person. He makes a sarcastic comment and she smacks him - right on the wound! Jack screams in pain and she apologizes profusely. Jack brings up her past men; Carly has an excuse for every one of them. She says she isn't the only one who had affairs and Jack admits he wasn't perfect. They teasingly argue about their past. Carly turns serious and asks why he didn't remember her when he came to town with Julia. He blames the amnesia. "If it had been me, I would have known that we belong together," she says emotionally. Jack is touched by her words. She kisses him.

At WOAK, Katie and Brad finish taping. He brings up dinner and asks her out. She turns him down and no matter what Brad says she won't change her mind. She tells Brad to call Bonnie as she gathers her things. Brad says there is nothing between him and Bonnie. Katie tells him to find another woman in his little black book and walks out. She returns to her hotel room and orders room service. She can't stop thinking about Jack so she leaves the hotel.

At the diner, Brad orders a lonely dinner for one but he can't stop thinking about Katie. Unable to eat, he pays the bill and leaves. He goes to see a movie and as he is getting comfortable, hits another seat several times. Annoyed, Katie turns and tells him to settle down. They're both shocked to see the other person. She asks where his date is; Brad says he isn't seeing anyone else and she knows why. She tries to ignore him but Brad whispers in her ear all through the movie, annoying the other movie-goers. To get him to be quiet, Katie tries his favorite treat - popcorn mixed with chocolate. It's horrible; Brad admits he's never eaten that combination. He asks why she is really there and brings up Jack. Katie admits that she and Jack are over. Brad says that is good - because their children will be better looking than her children with Jack could have been! They settle in for the movie; everyone laughs except them. They can only concentrate on their failing relationships. They start talking again, annoying the other watchers. Brad convinces her to skip out on the end of the movie and they leave. They go to the Lakeview and order big meals. As they eat, Katie tells him that she isn't ready for a relationship and needs to figure herself out. Brad says he can wait as long as she needs! Later, Brad escorts Katie to her room. She thanks him for the company and kisses him on the cheek. Brad leans in and kisses her passionately. Katie returns his kiss.

Mike Kasnoff returns! This will throw Katie into a tizzie. She should have stuck by him instead of chasing after Carly and Simon. He was so good to her. She needs to settle down and not go willy nilly into a new relationship all the time.

For my part, I think Jack and Carly should give it another go. They should take it slow, but all the same, neither one of them had been able to move on because of the other.

I thought Emma was going to sell the whole farm. If she is sick of farming and having perennial houseguests that is. She has more tenants than the Lakeview.

Is Carly Brad's sister (smile)? Brad and Carly should be sister and brother instead of Brad and Jack being brothers. Carly and Brad are so determined to get their man/woman by any mean necessary. I don't particular care who ends up with whom; I just wish the wtiters will bring this s/l to a close. It's been going on far too long. Brad/Carly don't let up; Let the Jack and Katie breathe.

I know Paul can be ruthless; but I like him so much better than Craig. Why is Emma so angry with Paul? Craig did far worse than Paul, yet Emma gave Meg the okay to marry Craig.

How big is that farm? I was under the impression that it was not a working farm. You never see any farm hands. Other than the horses and maybe a few chickens (for eggs), and one broken down tractor (that Craig fixed), Holden is the only part-time employee, and probably the only one who gives a hoot whether she sells it or not. Seth, Caleb, and Ivelyn have been gone so long, I am sure they don't care.

Paul is cute when he is nice.

I couldn't imagine Emma selling the house, but selling the farm makes sense, now that she's low on man power. She's got enough girls she could start a brothel though. Old Paul just isn't going to give up is he, I don't blame him Meg's got a hot body. I feel sorry for Jack, looks like he's going to be stuck with Carly for next few months until they get another divorce. I can't wait to see what happens to Jack's kids over the summer, I hope they give them a good storyline.

It was good to see Lucinda back today, I hope she takes over at Worldwide soon, I miss seeing her in a leadership role. It'd be cool just for old times sake to see her and Lisa duking it out like they used to when they both owned a newspaper and were completing against each other. Jack and Carly man, will this storyline ever play out, I guess not since both actors have long contracts with ATWT. I wish they could find someone for Barbara she deserves a little happiness.

Brad and Katie just happen to have the same idea and go to the exact same movie and sit in the exact same area????? Please ATWT what do you take us for fools??? That was the biggest pile of cow dung I've ever seen. If writing skill was gas you wouldn't have enough to start a ant's motorcycle. What was up with Meg? Didn't she realize as soon as she mentioned Paul Emma would change her mind about selling to Lucinda and World Wide. I think all the "fibbing" has finally caught up to her and she's tired of doing it. Maybe she'll get enough money she can go on a vacation and get away from her 3 problems.

Are they serious, they stand around a kitchen talk some tall talk and then she says cross me and you'll be looking down the barrel of a shotgun, then Paul starts walking out and says I'll have some papers drawn up in the morning, are you serious? I've bought and sold land and everytime there was surveying of the land that had to be done. Was there ever a doubt that Emma would give in and sell the land to Paul and Lucinda, just like there is no doubt Paul and Meg will end up together. I'm thinking Mike is going to spice things up and there may be a three way love triangle between Meg, Paul and Mike.

Posted by at Tuesday, April 01 2008 10:20 PM

I agree bringing Mike back is going to mix things up, and there's going to be some good love interest storylines going on over the next couple months. You got Paul and Meg, then you got Brad and Katie, and Carly and Jack, then there's the younger people like Allison and Chris, Sofie and Chris, Casey and Allison. You have all these possibilities and then you throw Mike and Bonnie in the mix there isn't any telling what could happen. I think everybody already knows Carly and Jack is a sure thing and Meg and Paul are a 90% sure thing, Sofie and Chris I'd say 50/50 and Chris and Allison the same 50/50 and Brad and Katie I'm going out on a limb and say 75% chance they'll hook up. I wonder does Vegas have odds on who is going to end up with who by summer time. Oh I forgot about the new Lily and Holden, that's a for sure thing, I'd bet the farm on it. ha ha

Well I think I saw a clip and it is not the same guy who played Mike before. Therefore I hope Brad and Katie get together as I like them as a couple but I don"t want to see her break Brad's heart over Mike. And everyone knows Carly and Jack are going to always be glued at the hip and belong together but ITA, the SL does not need to be a rush rush job.
