As the World Turns - DAILY UPDATES

At the cottage Will asks Gwen how she is holding up. Surprisingly, Gwen is feeling very chipper about the whole Sofie situation. "I'm glad I was there. Even if I didn't bring home a baby," she says. Will warns her not to get too attached to the baby and Gwen promises him that she just wants to help Sofie and get to know her niece. She leaves for the hospital.

At the hospital Iris makes her way in to Sofie's room. Sofie asks about Cole and Iris makes a few excuses as to why Cole hasn't been to see her. She tells Sofie that Cole sent her something. Iris pulls legal papers from her purse - it is a petition to terminate Cole's parental rights! Sofie can't believe it. Iris makes things worse by talking about Cole's career and Cole's life. "All he cares about is himself," Sofie says. Gwen walks in and tells Iris to get out! Iris tells Gwen about the papers. Gwen looks them over and points out that this is great for Sofie because now Cole - and Iris! - can't come back to haunt her. Gwen threatens Iris with police action if she won't leave. She does. Sofie breaks down in tears. She asks Gwen how she can be a good mom when she barely finished high school. A nurse brings the baby in but Sofie tells her to take the child away.

Aaron meets Alison at the diner and asks why she left early from the hospital. Allie tells him she just had to work. Aaron asks Alison for a second date just like their first one. Alison turns him down, saying she doesn't want to catch pneumonia. Aaron believes her real reason is Sofie. Alison tells Aaron that Sofie isn't giving her second thoughts; their past is! Aaron reminds Alison that they have both grown up in the past year and asks for another chance. Sofie calls and, crying, asks Aaron to come and get her. Alison tells him to go to the other girl. Aaron apologizes for running out on Allie but she says it is okay. He offers to pick her up later but she turns him down. Aaron leaves. Susan walks in and starts talking to Alison about Christmas. Allie snaps at her and Susan asks what is wrong; Alison tells her about Aaron. Susan wants more details and asks Alison why she threw in the towel with Aaron so easily. She points out that Allie has made a lot of changes and believes Aaron must have, too. Alison brings up Sofie and tells Susan that Aaron is much more interested in Sofie than he has ever been in Alison.

Back at the hospital Gwen sits with Sofie and tells her things will work out okay. Sofie isn't so sure. Gwen leaves. In the hall she runs into Aaron and tells him that Sofie is really down. Aaron goes inside and Sofie begs him to get her out of the hospital and back to her room at the Wagon Wheel. A while later Gwen and Will return and find that Sofie is gone from the hospital. A nurse tells them that Sofie left the hospital but the baby is still in the NICU. Gwen thinks she knows where Sofie is and tells Will to come along.

At the Wagon Wheel Sofie tells Aaron that she feels better already. Gwen and Will arrive to see Sofie. Sofie asks them to leave so she can rest but Gwen insists and they come in anyway. They ask Sofie if she needs anything and she says she just needs a little space to make a decision about the baby. They turn to go but Gwen has an idea; they leave to make a phone call before telling Sofie anything. They return a while later and tell Sofie that Lisa has agreed to give her a room at The Lakeview as long as she takes her old job at the lounge back. Sofie asks them why they are being so nice to her since they aren't getting her baby any more. Will says they just want to help her. Sofie apologizes and tells them she will think about Lisa's offer. Will and Gwen leave. Gwen admits to Will that she does think of Sofie's baby, at least a little bit, as their baby. Will hugs her and tells her they will have babies in the future.

At The Lakeview Craig is still searching the Internet for information about the drug. Over a cup of coffee he finds more information about one drug which could cause premature labor or a miscarriage! He writes down the information. Meg wakes up and asks what he is doing! Craig makes up a story about a last minute Christmas gift but Meg saw enough of the website to know it was a medical site. "Why are you lying to me?" she asks. Craig tells her he was researching Gaucher's Disease for cures; Meg points out that the baby might not be affected by the disease at all. Rosanna calls but Craig hangs up on her. He makes up a story about a meeting and runs out of the hotel room.

At Fairwinds, Paul catches Rosanna before she can make a call to Craig. He asks what she is up to and Rosanna makes excuses about all of the Christmas decorating and shopping she still has to do. He brings up Meg, wondering if Rosanna is avoiding him because of Meg. Rosanna can think only of Craig but she tells Paul that Meg does bother her a little. When Paul suggests a day spent alone, Rosanna points out that they need Christmas ornaments. Paul wants to go with her but Rosanna begs off by saying she has a headache. Paul kisses her and then leaves on his errands. Rosanna tries to reach Craig again.

Meg arrives at the farm as Emma is preparing some Christmas goodies. Emma asks what is really on Meg's mind. She tells Emma she is worried about Craig because he seems a bit obsessed with the baby's diagnosis. Emma suggests that Craig just needs more information. She invites Meg and Craig to dinner that night.

In Old Town Craig runs in to Paul. Paul tells Craig to stay away from Rosanna; Craig tells Paul to stay away from Meg! Paul storms off. Craig continues on and gets the miscarriage drug from a street dealer! He goes back to The Lakeview. Rosanna calls - again! - and finally Craig answers. Craig tells Rosanna he is going to keep her secret for Meg's sake. Before he can hang up Rosanna asks Craig if he can raise the child as his own. Craig hangs up on her. Meg walks in and tells Craig about the dinner invite. He tells her they can't go! He tells Meg he needs a quiet dinner for two; she begs him to change his mind but the room service waiter arrives. Craig calls Emma to make their excuses. She tells him that he is welcome any time and she'll extend another invitation soon. Craig turns the phone over to Meg, who tells Emma she will see her soon. With Meg distracted Craig pours the drug into her champagne glass! Meg picks up her glass and makes a toast to Craig and love and their baby. Craig is touched by it and before Meg can take a drink knocks the glass from her hand, breaking it and cutting his hand in the process! Craig tells her there was a bug in the glass. Meg starts to clean the wound and Craig pulls her to him in a fierce hug. "Oh, baby," he exclaims. Meg finishes doctoring his wound and goes into the bathroom to change clothes. Craig pulls the last of the drug from his pocket and realizes he can't use it on Meg. He picks up the ultrasound picture. Meg returns to find Craig with tears in his eyes. "I love you more than I thought was possible," Craig says.

Paul returns to Fairwinds with bags filled with Christmas ornaments and decorations. He tells Rosanna about his run-in with Craig, believing that their ties to him are finally cut. They begin to decorate the tree. They finish decorating and Paul kisses Rosanna.
