As the World Turns - DAILY UPDATES

Craig kisses Meg and they talk about the woman in the elevator. Meg makes him promise that won't happen with them. Craig leaves to check on things with Evan. Eli comes over, having heard her talking with Craig, and asks if things are okay now that the paternity test is out. Meg says yes and then wonders who could have told Craig. Eli says it could have been anyone. Eli leaves. Paul comes over and talks with Meg. Rosanna watches them for a while. Paul, feeling uncomfortable, leaves her to return to Rosanna. In the room, Rosanna asks if he is okay and says she saw him with Meg. He says things are fine and not to worry and leaves to check on her discharge. Eli waits for Paul to leave and then enters the room and tells Rosanna he knows what she did! Eli shows her a videotape and says he has proof that she switched the test results! Rosanna begs him to keep her secret so that Meg can live in peace with Craig. She offers Eli money to keep quiet!

Bob and Kim are having lunch at the diner when Dusty walks in. He lays down the law - telling Bob that he'll take Jennifer's foundation from the hospital if Chris winds up in charge of things at the hospital. Bob assures him that Chris will be handled. He leaves. Kim asks Dusty to stick around and begs him to give Chris another chance to prove himself. Dusty isn't interested because of the way Chris has been acting toward him lately. "He's out for himself and someone's got to keep an eye on him," Dusty says and walks out.

Craig runs into Chris in the stairwell and asks if things are going ahead as planned. Chris tells him not to worry and that the research grant will go ahead. Craig returns to Meg and they go to The Lakeview for lunch. They continue talking about the woman in the elevator and making plans for their own little bundle of babyness. Craig orders Meg an ice cream sundae and they begin talking about the research project. Meg tells Craig about Bob's objections to Evan and he asks her advice. "You better make sure Craig Hughes doesn't overplay his hand," Meg says.

Evan goes to see Chris, who doesn't have good news. He asks Evan for more time but Evan says they are out of time and if Chris can't make the grant happen he will go elsewhere. They begin going over the plans and Chris tells Evan that he should include more space for his research area. As they talk Bob walks in and tells them to think again. Bob dismisses Evan and then asks Chris what he thinks he is doing. Craig refuses to listen to Bob's objections and they begin to argue about the research and Chris's refusal to listen. Chris keeps pushing and the more he pushes the more obstinate Bob becomes. Dusty listens to them argue from outside the door. "Change and adapt or you deserve to be extinct," Chris yells at his father. Dusty leaves as Bob tells Chris that he will never be in charge at Memorial now. Chris threatens to turn in his resignation and Bob says it is his call. He orders Chris to turn in his keys and clean out his office. Chris tells Bob he'll regret this and walks out. Bob takes a drink from a coffee cup in the lab!

Evan finds Meg and Craig at The Lakeview and says they are all in trouble. He tells them about the confrontation brewing with Chris and Bob. Craig offers to go play mediator. When Craig arrives at the hospital he becomes distracted by the sight of Eli and Rosanna. He wonders what they are talking about and watches. Inside the room, Eli demands a huge sum of money and Rosanna says she'll pay up as long as she gets the tape. Eli leaves. Craig continues to watch. When Eli has gone, Craig asks Rosanna what is really going on but she won't tell him anything. They separate. Paul returns with a wheelchair for Rosanna. She gets in to the chair and he wheels her away. Around the corner, Craig watches, wondering what is really going on.

Kim runs into Chris in the stairwell. He is really upset and she asks about Bob. Chris gets a page and leaves. She continues on and finds Bob, collapsed, in the research office. Dusty arrives and they try to revive him.

At Katie's room, Carly tells her that she is still in love with Jack and shouldn't sleep with Brad because of that. Brad steps in to get Carly to back off but Katie tells him to let her talk. Brad leaves and the women argue for a bit. Katie tells Carly she has Jack now and Carly says she doesn't. Carly tells Katie that sleeping with Brad is a horrible idea. Katie insists that she and Brad know what they are - and aren't - doing. Brad returns to them and Katie returns inside. He confronts Carly, asking what he is trying to accomplish. Carly mentions losing Jack and Brad jumps to the conclusion that since Carly lost Jack she is trying to make him lose Katie, too! Carly says he is nuts for thinking Katie is in love with him. "This is sour grapes," Brad says. Carly insists he won't be happy with Katie and leaves.

Jack runs in to Parker in Old Town. He has a bunch of packages and Parker notices one that has to be for Katie. He asks Jack what is going on there. They sit down and talk about life for a while and then continue on to the farm. Parker opens the gift for Katie (it's a scarf) and asks Jack when he is going to give it to her. Jack begins making plans for Christmas day, hoping that he and Katie will find some time together that day. Parker is excited by that news. Katie calls and angrily asks Jack why he sent Carly to stop her plans! Jack has no idea what she is talking about and tells her so. Katie doesn't believe him. Parker listens as Jack offers to come over to fix whatever Carly did. Katie tells him to stay away from her so she can move on with her life - with Brad! Upset, Parker asks Jack what is wrong but Jack won't say. He hurries from the farm.

Brad returns to Katie and apologizes for Carly's actions. Katie tells him that Jack sent Carly but it doesn't matter because she still wants a baby with him! Brad hesitates and then tells Katie that this feels all wrong. Katie believes that Carly has changed his mind. Brad corrects her and says he just wants the best for Katie and that means having a baby with someone special. Katie drops her sheet and kisses him!

Carly returns to her home and finds Jack inside, waiting for her. An angry Jack tells her to buckle up because this is not a pleasant visit! He asks about her visit to Katie and she tells Jack that she was only trying to keep Katie from making a huge mistake. Jack doesn't believe her. He thinks Carly intended for Katie to get the wrong idea (that Jack sent Carly there) to keep Jack and Katie apart!
