As the World Turns - DAILY UPDATES

Lily takes over Lisa's appointment with Cheri. She talks about the possibility of a conference at The Lakeview and asks Lily about reserving several suites for her co-workers! Lily hands over some additional information but Cheri isn't interested in them. She just wants a commitment from Lily that will open the hotel to her! As they talk, Dusty walks up and listens in. Cheri leave to get her "business credit card" and Dusty asks Lily how much she knows about Cheri. "She's a hooker," Dusty says, shocking Lily. Worried, Lily wonders how she can get out of this. Dusty gives her several options and even offers to take care of things for her. Lily decides to step up and when Cheri returns, Lily orders her off the premises! Seeing Dusty, Cheri realizes what has happened and turns her anger on him. Cheri asks him about Emily and Alison, bringing up Allie's porn-past. Angry, Dusty warns Cheri away from Allie. "You had your way with Alison. Why shouldn't I?" Cheri asks and then leaves. Lily returns, thanking Dusty for helping her out. Seeing how upset she is, Dusty asks if he can help. Lily fills him in on things and he tells her that she'll make things right with Holden. Lily worries about Cherie and how she might hurt Dusty. He tells her not to worry.

Cheri meets Elwood in Old Town and asks him to help her with a project.

Katie arrives at the farm, worried about Jack. Brad is recovering from the night before and hasn't heard anything, which doesn't set Katie's mind at ease. Dallas arrives and tells them about the fire and explosion. He doesn't know Jack's condition but tells them he was hurt very badly. Katie asks where Jack is now but Dallas doesn't know anything specific. He leaves. Katie blames herself for not being able to keep Jack in Oakdale. Brad decides it's time to call Carly again. They don't get through to Carly and begin to call the hospitals and trauma centers surrounding Idaho. Kim arrives and Katie breaks down. Brad asks Kim to distract Katie so they begin talking about work. Kim asks Katie about doing a segment or two from Hawaii, without Brad. Talking about the island, they chat about her upcoming wedding and honeymoon. Kim sees the damaged ring and Katie asks her if it is a sign. They talk a bit more and Katie turns down the Hawaii assignment; she tells Kim that she'll understand if it is a firing offense. Kim surprises her, telling her that she will have a job for a long time. She leaves. Brad returns with good news - he has found Jack! They call the hospital but the nurses won't put Brad through. Another doctor comes on the line and tells Brad that Jack is gone!

JJ is tied to a compressor station. Across the room, Silas and Ava are sleeping. They wake up and begin arguing. Ava wants to cut and run - and leave JJ behind, but Silas won't even consider it. He tells her to just hold tight because with Jack and Carly out of the picture, they feds will lose interest in JJ really quickly. Carly arrives and begins looking around; she trips over a board and quickly hides. Ava gets nervous. JJ begins to fake an asthma attack, trying to distract them. Ava goes to investigate the noise but doesn't find anything. Silas disguises himself in a ball cap and sunglasses and leaves to get JJ some meds. When they are alone, JJ asks Ava why she doesn't just set him free, especially since she doesn't want him around in the first place! He reminds her that now she and Silas are cop killers and tells her to take the money and run. Ava actually likes that idea. She takes a couple of bills from their stash, leaves them for Silas and then leaves. Carly comes in once she is gone, happy to have found JJ! She begins to untie JJ, telling him that Jack was hurt but is okay. Upset, JJ apologizes for not keeping them in the loop from the beginning. As she frees JJ, Silas returns. Carly tells JJ to go and get help and stays behind to face Silas alone. Silas begins to search for Ava, but doesn't find her. Carly runs but Silas catches her! Carly fights him off, picks up a wrench and knocks a steam pipe loose. It burns Silas, he falls and she hits him over the head with it. Finally, Carly runs after JJ. She finds him outside - trapped in quicksand! She makes a rope out of her jacket and tosses it to JJ to pull him out. As she pulls, Carly falls in, too. She manages to push JJ out and begins to go under the sand!

Maddie and Noah are talking about the new show. She leaves to get some supplies. Noah hears someone come in and, believing it is Luke, starts talking about the show again. It's his father! Col. Mayer tells Noah it is time they get down to what - or who! - is really keeping him in Oakdale! They talk for a while, and Col. Mayer tells Noah he is proud that Noah is going to work his way through school. As he talks, Noah becomes even more confused because he has no idea what his father is talking about. Col. Mayer finally tells Noah that he is going to give him a gift - cash! - to use however he wants, as long as he enlists in the Army, too. Noah can't believe what his father is asking. Maddie walks in and Noah introduces his dad to her. Col. Mayer is pleased to meet her and asks them both to lunch. Noah hesitates and Col. Mayer plays up to Maddie to get them all to lunch. She tries to get out of it but Col. Mayer pushes the issue, asking Noah to tell him more about their work over lunch. Reluctantly, Noah agrees to go and so does Maddie. Col. Mayer asks them to meet him at The Lakeview in an hour. He leaves. Maddie decides to change clothes before lunch, reminding Noah that his father wouldn't have come to Oakdale if he didn't care. They kiss and she leaves. Noah is finishing up a few things when Luke walks in. He sees the time and gets nervous because he hasn't has time to change. Luke offers to help him get ready for lunch with his dad. Noah has problems tying the tie so Luke helps him. When Luke gets closer, Noah starts to breathe funny. Luke asks what is wrong and Noah says nothing. And then Noah kisses Luke!

Maddie and Col. Mayer are waiting for Noah at The Lakeview, getting to know one another. She tells him about moving to Oakdale with Henry. Col. Mayer keeps peppering her with questions, making Maddie even more nervous. She becomes more comfortable when they talk about her siblings. Maddie becomes curious when Col. Mayer mentions that he thought Noah was making up their relationship, wondering why Noah would pretend anything. She tells him that Noah is what is keeping her in Oakdale.
