Lisa calls Margo to tell her someone broke into Crash and stole $10,000 worth of bonds, Maddie accuses Jade of stealing the bonds, and Elwood takes the bonds and pays Casey's debts off.
Barbara tells Paul his vision was correct and explains what happened. He asks about Meg, but she says she doesn't know where she is.
As Craig wrestles with the gunman, Jack arrives and shoots the gunman. Meg yells for them to call for help, she says he's bleeding out!
Later, Craig comforts Meg. He says Jack saved the day, but she says he made the first move. She says she'll never forget what he done. "You see, I told you I wasn't so bad." She notices a small wound on his forehead and offers to take care of it for him. Meanwhile, the gunman is on his way to surgery. He grabs Meg by the shirt. "You killed my wife," he says.
At Java, Casey hands Elwood the money he owes him, plus extra for his troubles. Elwood asks where he got the bonds. He says all he needs to know is the bonds are as good as cash. He says he only asked because he was freaked out when he stole money from his mom. Casey instructs him to keep his voice down. After Casey leaves, Elwood gets on the phone and tells someone to meet him outside Java. He says he has something for them from Casey.
At the Tom and Margo's, Katie's surprised that Mike went home. She asks if he seemed upset about anything. Margo says no and tells her not to say anything, but he's planning a surprise for her - a toast.
Later, Katie tells Margo Mike isn't picking up the phone, so she says she's going to go check on him.
Mike reads the letter from Simon. While reading the letter, the phone rings. He lets the machine pick it up. It's Katie wanting to know if he's there, but he just looks at the machine.
Back at Tom and Margo's, Margo gets a phone call from Lisa. Lisa explains that Crash has been broken into and $10,000 worth of registered bonds is missing! When she asks what bonds were doing there, Lisa says they belong to Will. Margo hangs up and reveals the bad news to Will. Maddie accuses Jade of stealing the bonds.

Katie arrives home and Mike shows her the letter. "Why didn't you tell me about this?" he asks. She says she's sorry and asks to explain, but he's tired of explanations. She says it's a goodbye letter, and she was saving it to show it to him. He says they have a big problem. "What is it?" "It's that I'm married to you, and I don't even know who you are," he says. He can't believe she wants to save the letter after what Simon has done to everyone! Again, she says she was saving it to show to him. She says she's tired of defending herself. "Great, great, we finally agree on something. We just can't do this anymore," he replies. She says they could burn the letter but it wouldn't be enough. He says he's not trying to say he hasn't made mistakes, but she keeps holding on to this fantasy with Simon as if it's some kind of love story. He goes on to say he wants her to be happy, but with him feeling the way he does she won't be happy with him. "I think what kills me is I end up hurting you more than he does," he finishes.
Back at the hospital, Craig comforts Meg while she cries. Jack steps in and reminds her that she saved many people. She says she didn't, but he says he let everyone go because of her. She says he never planned to kill them.
After Jack leaves, Craig says, "Something's bothering you. There's something you didn't tell Jack isn't there." "Yeah, there's something I didn't tell Jack," she admits. He whispers that it's good she didn't tell Jack everything, because she's under a lot of stress. She asks if he thinks she did something wrong. He says this crazy guy makes some little accusation and everyone thinks he's crazy, but he says he admires how she gets inside her head and asks herself if it's her fault - if there's something she did wrong. However, he says she can't let the cops see that, because they'll see her consciousness. She retorts that she was talking to Jack, and he's her friend. He says he's also a cop, and it's in his DNA to uncover secrets, even if they have nothing to do with the crime. He goes on to say if she needs to talk to talk to him. "I'm the guy who knows what happened here," he whispers.
Jack comes back and says he briefly went through the patient's medical records and she's the one who signed off on them. "So, if there was an allergy that might have resulted in analeptic shock, you would have known it, right? he asks Meg. Avoiding his question, she says if he's about done with her she's going to get some air. He says okay then tells Craig he's going to need a statement from him too. Before she leaves, she says when he writes out her statement to make sure he writes in there that Craig was the one who saved her.
Casey arrives back at his parents' house. Maddie informs him that someone broke into Crash and stole Will's bonds. Casey asks if he's going to get his money back. Tom says they'll find the person, because they're registered bonds.
At Crash, Lisa tells Will she's afraid he won't get the bonds back. Margo asks Will about him locking up. He tells her everything he done step by step. After he explains, Margo says they checked and the alarm it didn't go off all evening.
Later, Maddie expresses her apologies to Gwen. Will feels that it's his fault. "Tell him Case. Tell him it's not his fault," Gwen says. "It's not your fault," he says to Will. When Jade arrives, Margo questions her about her whereabouts last night. She says she was upset and took a walk. Maddie continues to accuse Jade, but Casey shouts to Maddie, "That's enough. She didn't do it!" He catches everyone's attention! Margo lets Jade go, but before she leaves she tells Gwen if she wanted to ruin her singing career she wouldn't steal her money, she'd let people hear the demo! Adam follows her out. "That was mean," he says. "Oh gee, I'm sorry. You think I hurt her feelings," she says sarcastically. He says he's talking about Maddie. "She has no right to talk to you like that," he adds. She says the problem is she does, because some of what she told his mom is the truth, and she says his mom knows it. He says it still isn't fair and he's sorry. She expresses she's not like that, and she wouldn't do that to him. He says he knows and he'll call her tomorrow. "I wouldn't hold my breath," she replies.
Back at the hospital, Meg goes in to check on Paul, and Barbara tells her she needs to apologize to him, because she's the one who had him drugged. As soon as Barbara leaves, Meg admits she believes him now. He starts to cry. She asks what's wrong. He says, "Blood, I was so scared that it was you." She asks how he knew that man was coming for her. He says he wishes he could explain how his visions come on, but he can't. She asks if he saw the man coming after her, but he says he didn't see the man or her. He says he saw blood and the blood drive poster. She excuses herself saying she needs to go see how the gunman's surgery went. Before she goes he says, "Meg, next time you'll listen to me right." "Hopefully there won't be a next time," she says.
Back inside, Will apologizes to Gwen. "Please stop saying that," he asks. "Look, I know you're not going to like this idea," she begins. "What?" he asks. "We could ask your mom..." "You think Barbara's going to really want to shell out more when she already lost - what - ten grand a day," Adam interrupts. "Get off his back," Gwen snaps.
After Meg leaves, Paul tells Barbara he wants to stay at the hospital. She scolds him for wanting to stay around the people who didn't believe him and drugged him. He says he wants them to do every test on him to find out what's happening so he can control it. She demands to know why he keeps going back to Meg when she doesn't want him. He says she's just scared, and she needs him.
As Meg watches the janitor mop up the blood, she recalls the gunman's words before he went to surgery. "You did it. You killed my wife." "He's right… I did kill her," she says to herself."
At Java, Will asks Gwen if she thinks the record exec will hold off until he gets his trust funds this summer. He says they can promise him they'll finish it in July. "Yeah, guys like him, they're usually really patient," she replies. He says he's sorry, but she tells him doesn't have to feel guilty. It's just that she can't get over it right away. She goes on to say normally she's not like this, but she hopes something bad happens to whoever stole the bonds, and she says if it is Jade, she hopes it's something really worse.
Outside Java, Elwood gives a guy named Mac the bonds that Casey gave him. He says he gave Casey cash and that's what he wants back, but Elwood says this is what Casey gave him, and he'll just have to deal with it.
As soon as Elwood walks away, Adam approaches the guy and offers him cash for the bond. He accepts the offer then leaves. After the exchange, Adam grabs his cell and calls someone saying he wants to see them first thing tomorrow. "Believe me, it's a classic win, win," he says.
Back at Crash, Maddie yells at Casey for defending Jade. He continues to say she didn't do it. "Oh no? What has she been doing the past year? She's been targeting everything that Gwen has so she can seal it for herself, and now that she has to watch Gwen and Will be happy she did the one thing that could ruin everything for them," she points out. "Just stop saying that!" Casey retorts. She places her face in her hands and says she's so sorry. She says she forgot how much this means to him. How much he's been pushing for the demo. She hugs him and repeats how sorry she is.
Back at Katie's, Mike comes downstairs with his bag. "So where you going?" she asks. "I'm just goin," he answers. "Just taking off like you use to, huh?" "Something like that," he replies. "Mike, don't give up on being happy. Don't give up on that just because of us… because of me." "We didn't work out. You're not the only one who made mistakes." "The only one who made mistakes and then publishes them," she laughs. "You blow me away," he laughs, then smiles. She fights back emotions as she kisses him goodbye. "Goodbye," he says softly. He walks out the door. She sits on the couch and cries softly to herself.
Next week on As the World Turns…
Brad informs Jack that they're both after the same woman.
Paul goes toward Meg, but she says, "Don't touch me!"
