At the hospital, Meg asks the gunman to put the gun away so she can help him. He asks her name, and then asks her to tell him who killed his wife!

Moments later, Craig enters and finds hisself face-to-face with a gun. He sits down on the floor with the rest of the hostages. Meg continues to try to talk to the gunman about his wife. He says her name was Sara and she came in for surgery, but didn't make it out. He starts walking around pointing his gun at people asking if they killed his wife. He finds Barbara on the phone. He points the gun at her and grabs the phone from her hands! He says if she does that again, she's a dead woman! Meg grabs his attention trying to negotiate with him. She asks what his wife's last name was. When he tells her, she realizes his wife is the patient she lost! He wants to know how she died - what happened. Meg flashes back to that day. "You remembered something didn't you? Tell me what happened to my wife!" he demands, pointing the gun at her. He says he has a right to know what happened to her. She says of course he does, and she can only tell him what she knows. He turns and tells everyone expect for Meg that they can leave. He pulls her into a room and asks how his wife died. She explains that she went into analeptic shock during recovery, but she says the team worked hard to bring her back. However, she says because of the shock and the surgery she just couldn't make it. He asks her if analeptic shock is caused from an allergic reaction. She says that's usually the case. He says she was allergic to everything in the world, and asks if they read her charts. She says they did. He says someone at the hospital made a mistake then asks her when her shift started. She admits she's was asked to stay late. "So, you were here this morning?" he inquires. "Yes, I was one of the people who pitched in to save her," she answers. He says then she knows who's responsible for his wife's death. She says if she doesn't know what happened how can she tell him who was responsible. He says she was there. He questions her further. "You were her nurse weren't you?" he asks. She admits she was. He asks what his wife told her. Flashing back, she remembers her asking to use her own sheets because she's allergic to a lot of things. She also remembers her asking if she's wearing perfume, and that she requested no plants in the room. She recalls his wife naming off all the meds she's allergic to, and then she remembers going into a daze and not recording them all in the chart! "What?" the gunman asks. "I was just thinking," she replies. "You remembered something didn't you?" She explains to him that his wife told her everything, including the meds she was allergic to. The He asks if she wrote the information down. She confirms. He asks to see the list, but she says since he asked Dr. Hughes to review the case he has the chart. He calls her a liar. She advises him to call Dr. Hughes and get the chart. He accuses her of thinking his wife was exaggerating like everyone else does. He explains how sensitive she was to everything, and how she would have migraines that caused her to be in bed for days. Meg feels sorry and apologizes. He says she should be. He goes on to say she's a nurse and shouldn't have let her personal feelings get in the way of her job, but she did, and she didn't pay attention. He says she wrote his wife off and a weirdo, a narcotic, and she failed to write down everything she said. She says she's sure she wrote everything down. "You're a liar!" he shouts. He goes on to say because of her arrogance she killed his wife and now he's going to kill her! Meanwhile, Craig stands hid, watching the action.

While going through the mail, Katie finds a letter from Simon! As soon as Mike goes outside, she opens the letter and begins reading. Simon says he's sorry, and wished they could have worked things out. He wishes her well with Mike, and says he's fine. Mike comes back inside. "Hey, what's that? Is it a letter?" She says no. The doorbell rings. It's Henry with a gift for Katie. Katie tells Mike to go on to the party; she says she'll be there in a little while.

After Mike leaves, Henry knows something's up, so he asks why she just got rid of the man she loves. She turns and hands him the letter. After reading the letter, He pulls a lighter from his jacket and starts to burn the letter, but she grabs it from him. She says the letter made her feel good when she read it. He asks her to tell him again why he can't burn the letter. She says she just doesn't want to make a big deal about the letter. In fact, she says she's going to show Mike the letter. "Well, after you show Mike the letter will you burn it?" "Yes," she replies. After Henry leaves, she sits back down on the couch to re-read the letter. While reading, she reminisces about the life they once shared. She smiles at the memories, and then places the letter in a book and leaves for the party.

At the party, Gwen informs Adam that Will wants the demo for her. "Alright, you're right and I'm wrong." Maddie asks what's going on and Gwen explains everything. Maddie says Adam is wrong. Margo, Tom and Daniel come out. Tom asks about Gwen's album, he says he heard they had some problems. Adam says they had a budget crisis, but Will saved the day. He asks Gwen if Will will be joining them. She says he had to study but he might drop by later. Casey comes back with the ice-cream. Maddie greets him with a hug and kiss. Margo instructs him to take his jacket off and make hisself useful.

Later, Daniel asks Margo if anyone else is coming to the party. She says no, it's just family. He asks if Uncle Craig is coming, but Margo says no telling him not to worry.

At Crash, Casey takes Will's bonds from the safe! After stuffing the bonds into his jacket, he grabs a hammer and begins beating the safe with it. His phone rings. It's Margo wanting to know where he is. He says he's still getting the ice-cream. She tells him to hurry. Before leaving Crash, he knocks things over and makes a mess so that it appears as if the place was burglarized.

Mike arrives at Tom and Margo's with the food. Margo asks where Katie is, and he says she'll be by later. After dropping the food off, he says he has to run because he's working on something for Katie. She says she's so glad they're back together. He says he'll be back in a little while.

Casey's phone rings. He takes the call outside. Its Elwood reminding Casey his parents are really angry now! He says if they don't get the money back in five minutes, they're going to call his parents. He says he'll meet with him. Elwood tells him to hurry. He says when his father gets like this there's no talking to him.

A few minutes later, Katie arrives with the last dish. She informs Tom she's putting him on an exercise program as soon as the dinner party is over. She enters the kitchen and tells Margo to set with her husband and relax. She says Mike will help her take care of the dinner, but Margo says Mike isn't there. "Where is he?" she asks.

Back at Katie's, Mike's working on writing a letter to Katie, but he can't seem to come up with the right words. To help him out, he walks over to the bookshelf and grabs a book, but the letter from Simon falls out. As he picks it up, he remembers just asking her if she was reading a letter. He opens the letter and begins reading it.

Casey meets Elwood at Java. He pulls out the bonds, but Elwood says he can't give his father registered bonds. He tells him to take them into town tomorrow and cash them. He says he needs cash, but Casey says this is the best he can do. While he's counting out the bonds, Adam comes in and watches from behind.

Back at the hospital, the gunman continues to hold Meg at gunpoint! "You killed my wife!" he says. He says he loved his wife and she took that away from him. She says she made a mistake and she's sorry. He says of course she is, but now someone in her family is going to know what it's like to lose someone. She cries as she begs him not to shoot her. "What? What's that? I can't hear you," he says. Craig comes to the rescue! He tackles the gunman taking him to the ground. While wrestling, the gun goes off!

Paul asks Barbara what happened to Meg, but she says she don't know because he released the rest of them. "There's gotta be blood," he says.

Mike confronts Katie about the letter. "Why didn't you tell me about this?" he asks.

Will finds his bonds missing! When Adam comes in and asks what's going on, Margo says the alarm didn't go off all evening.

Maddie accuses Jade of stealing, but Casey says she didn't do it.
