Lynn Herring and Michael Woods Coming to As The World Turns. Tuesday, June 09 2009

Lynn Herring, best known to Daytime audiences as Lucy Coe on General Hospital and "Port Charles", is returning to soaps, but this time, she will be coming to Oakdale. It has just been announced that the veteran actress has been cast as Audrey, the money-grubbing mother of As The World Turns' Henry. Perhaps this is why Trent Dawson will be donning another moniker next month when he begins playing Geneva Swift on Wednesday, July 17...

Audrey won't be drifting by alone either. She'll be bringing a man with her. Micheal Woods, who played Dr. Ackland on Passions, will also be popping into town as Jay, a man with some connection to Henry. Woods also had a role on ATWT back in 1999, when he played Alec Wallace. So far, there are scant hints about what will be bringing both of these characters to town and how Henry will take it.

Herring, a former beauty queen, has been acting on soaps since the 80s. Her first air date in this new role will be July 24. It is a short term part at this time.
