Remember former As The World Turns actor David Cryer, who played Philip Lombard from 1988 to 1990? Well the actor, who is now seventy-three years old, just received a very special honor!

On Sunday May 17, David arrived at the DePauw University for its 170th Annual Commencement, where he was presented with the honorary Doctor of Arts Degree! David is also a 1958 graduate of the college.

These days, fans can find David starring on Broadway in the musical “Phantom,” where he’s played Monsieur Firmin since January 2002 – and even toured nationally in the part since 1992!
