ATWT's Maura West Welcomes A Baby Girl!

It's a girl! We've learned that Maura and Scott have welcomed a baby girl into the world. Birdie West Defretias was born on June 16 and weighed in at 7 lbs 13 oz.

Congratulations go out today to As The World Turns star Maura West (Carly Tenney Snyder) – who is pregnant, expecting her fifth child later this year!

Soaps.com has learned that Maura and husband Scott DeFreitas (ex-Andy) will add another baby to their growing brood in just a few months. The couple's family already includes Joseph (age 9), Katherine (age 7) and Basil (age 2); Maura has another son (Benjamin, age 12) from a previous marriage.

We have not received official word, but it looks like the pregnancy will not be written into the show. Which means no more baby Snyder's or baby Montgomery's running around Oakdale. Boo-hoo! Everyone loves a soap opera baby!

There is no word on an official birth date but as soon as we learn of one we'll pass the word along to you fans.

I am so happy for Maura & Scott. I have liked Maura since the first day she started. She is a wonderful actress. Good looking too. I also love Scott DeFreitas. I remember Scott from when he was playing Andy. I wish they would bring Scott back as Andy. He is just a good actor. I was glad when they got married and started to have children. I always read anything on Maura West to see if she is still married. I am glad she is. I wish them both the best.

CONGRATS Maura and Scott!! Its hard to believe this will be Maura's 5th child, she looks darn good for having that many children that's for sure. Its gonna be sad when Maura takes leave from the show like she did 2 years ago. It was so great getting her back again only now to have to see her go again for a little while. Best of luck Maura and Scott!!!

Much Happiness to you "Carly" and "Andy Dixon". I also have watched this show for many years and enjoyed the both of you. I knew about "Emily" and "Holden" being married in real life. How do you stand the interaction between co stars with your spouses. Apparently you (Maura) and (Scott), are handling it well.

Its funny the other day they showed her and she just looked strange.. and I said wouldn't it be a trip if she was pregnanat yet again... Wow baby number #5 it takes away from the sexy vizen thing for sure..Dont get me wrong she's stunning but the sexy vizen preggers with #5 hmmm ... its not exactly screaming seductress..

i am glad to see carly coming back sheis my favorite on the show i dont know what they would do without her tg shes coming back and she was havin a baby and not leaving for good carly we will welcome you back soon congrats...see you soon...
