Brian Marries Lucinda and Kisses Luke!

At the hospital, Lucinda asks if Brian meant it when he accepted her proposal. He says yes and calls her a tsunami of a woman. Lily and Holden arrive; Lucinda tells them about her engagement and Lily freaks out. She says they are moving too fast; Lucinda says she is simply not wasting time. Brian leaves to make some arrangements and Lily follows him to the hall. She tells him to put things off and not hurt her mother. Brian says he loves Lucinda and would never hurt her. He leaves. Holden comes out of the room, shocked at Lucinda's announcement. Lily goes back inside and says, "I will not let you marry that man!" She says Brian might be up to something. Lucinda says Brian doesn't want her money; Lily asks her to wait a few days so they can draw up a prenup; Lucinda refuses. "I saw the grim reaper at the foot of my bed," Lucinda says and starts to cry, "I don't want to die alone." She says she wants to be with Brian for however much time she has left. Lily finally understands. She says she's going to buy dancing shoes as a wedding present. Brian returns with a minister and a prenup! Lily and Holden watch as Lucinda signs; Holden witnesses it and the judge says it is a binding document. The judge begins the ceremony. Brian says he didn't realize his career move to Oakdale would make him a better man. Lucinda thanks the universe for bringing Brian into her life. He gives her his Princeton class ring until he can buy a proper wedding ring. They each say, "I do," and kiss. Brian leaves to pick up some things for Lucinda and asks a nurse to call if Lucinda needs anything.

Noah gets Luke back home but no one is there. He gets water and aspirin but Luke refuses everything. He offers to call someone for Luke but he refuses that, too. Luke asks him to stay and says he wants things to go back to the way they were. Noah says things have changed too much, takes his keys and leaves. Luke throws the water bottle and stumbles to the counter, looking for something. He goes to the door and yells, "Noah, you can't walk out on me!" He starts walking to town. Brian is driving when he sees Luke, drunk, walking on the road. He picks Luke up; he rambles about finding Noah but Brian takes him home. He tries to get Luke to drink water or tea but Luke refuses everything. Brian sits with him and Luke finally thanks him for not telling on him. Brian hugs Luke – and then they kiss! Luke pulls away and runs upstairs.

You Will Lose!

Brian barges into the farm kitchen and finds Luke is hung over. He tells Luke about Lucinda's illness and tells him to get himself together. Luke insists he is fine and he can fool Lucinda but Brian says he can't. He says Luke is wasting his second chance by drinking again and storms out.

Lucinda and Lily are getting her hospital room ready when Holden walks in. Brian arrives and kisses her, shocking Lily and Holden. Brian gives Lucinda a gift – tango lessons! A nurse comes in to take Lucinda to surgery. She hugs Lily and tells Holden to take care of her. Brian hugs her and tells her how strong she is. He hugs her and Lucinda leaves. He turns to Lily and says Lucinda is brave. Lily thanks him for staying by Lucinda but says he can leave now. Brian refuses to go. "I love your mother," he says!

Noah arrives at the hospital and runs into Luke. Noah says he ran into Holden and had to come by. Luke tries to hug him but Noah pulls back and says he is only there for Lucinda. Brian comes to the hall and says she is in surgery. Noah gives him the flowers and then leaves. Brian apologizes for being so hard on Luke at the farm; Luke says he deserved it. Brian offers to go for a walk with him but Luke leaves alone.

Lucinda is brought back to her room after the surgery. Brian offers to stay with Lucinda so Lily and Holden can be with the girls for a while. Lily kisses her mom and they leave. Brian pulls a stool up beside Lucinda and caresses her hair. She wakes up and mumbles that she isn't dead; she asks about Lily and Brian says she went to check on the kids. She asks why he is with her instead of living his life; he says she is the best part of his life! "I don't have too much time," Lucinda says. He offers her water and tells her he has plans for her post-surgery. She is tired so he quiets down. Lucinda mumbles about love and wasted time – and asks him to marry her! He tells her to ask when she isn't drugged! "Marry me," she says a little more strongly. He agrees!

At home, Holden and Lily worry about Luke. Holden says they have to give Luke space but Lily is worried that Luke is falling into a deep hole. She worries he'll start drinking again; Holden says he would never do that. Brian calls to tell them about Lucinda. He agrees to call if Lucinda wakes up again. She turns to Holden, worried that Brian is up to something. Holden says Brian is a good friend to Lucinda.

If You Want To Leave, Then Leave!

Lucinda and Brian are at The Lakeview when Lily walks in. Brian arranged the meeting and leaves even though the women tell him to stay. Lily asks Lucinda what is going on but Lucinda clams up. "It's back, isn't it?" Lily whispers. Lucinda says the cancer is back but they have caught it early and she has a good chance. Lily says she'll stand by her and the women have a break-through. Lily asks about Lucinda's relationship with Brian. Lucinda says he is a good man. The women cry. Lily encourages Lucinda to go after Brian because she deserves happiness. "I love you," Lily says and Lucinda cries even harder. They hug and Lucinda asks if she can see the girls.

Luke goes to Lily's but only finds Brian there. He says Lily is at a meeting. Needing to talk to someone, Luke tells him about the election and getting expelled from school! Luke emotionally says he messed up all of his plans and ideas in one moment. Brian says he can fix things. Lucinda and Lily arrive. Lucinda and Brian leave to catch up with Ethan and the sitter. When they are gone, Luke gets quiet. He tells Lily about the rigged election and his expulsion. "I just couldn't let them get away with it," he cries. Lily says he has compromised his entire life because of his anger. Noah arrives and Luke refuses to talk to him. Lily tells Noah about the expulsion. Noah can't believe it. Luke says Noah is the one who turned him in! Lily leaves to call Holden. Luke turns on Noah; he says he couldn't lie. Luke says Noah told on him because he was jealous! He says Noah was jealous of Luke's past with Kevin; Noah can't believe him. He says Luke never wanted to be president until he learned that Kevin was running and he only wanted to beat Kevin because of their past. Luke angrily says his life is over and it's all Noah's fault. Noah says he couldn't lie because he loves Luke. "Well I can't look at you," Luke says hatefully. Noah leaves. Luke cries.

Lucinda and Brian return to Lily's. On the porch he says he can make life simpler for him. She tries to push him away and Brian says he can wait. "I'm interested in you, not your breasts," he says, making her laugh. He hugs her.
