At Lily's Lucinda is going stir-crazy, especially when Brian suggests a trip to the museum. Luke arrives and feels uncomfortable. Lucinda says they were just leaving and gets her coat. When they are gone Noah arrives and Luke updates him on the situation with Brian and then tells him about Jade. Noah says Luke is doing everything right.
Lucinda sidetracks Brian's museum outing with a trip to the Worldwide Boardroom. She tells him she has had many good times in the room and is going to have one more – with him, now! They are about to make love when Vienna arrives with Henry's book and begs Lucinda to publish it. Brian starts to read as Vienna explains the plot. He tells Lucinda to check the book out – because the main characters are Henry and Vienna, on a mission to find Lucy and Johnny for her! Lucinda finishes the book and likes it; Brian tries to change her mind but she won't listen. Lucinda agrees to publish it.
Henry is lunching at The Lakeview with a strange woman. She hands him a check and says he is doing great work for her. Vienna arrives and excitedly tells him about finding his book and taking it to Lucinda. He is shocked. Lucinda and Brian come in and the woman says they have no rights to Henry's book – because she is Henry's editor! Henry says he already sold the book, disappointing Lucinda. Vienna is thrilled, though. Lucinda says she might sue Henry for defamation of character because of the book; he says she is written as a modern day Elizabeth I; Lucinda leaves. Henry and Vienna toast to his new book and their future. She convinces him to come upstairs so they can play Sexy Editor/Naughty Writer.
Lucinda and Brian have coffee in another area of The Lakeview. Lucinda admits she is mostly upset because she won't have any distractions to keep her from thinking of the upcoming treatments. Brian says she has plenty of distractions and she tells him to take her to his room upstairs! They walk upstairs and she says it is high time they consummate their relationship and reaches for his pants. He stops her. "You don't want to do this," he says and tells her he doesn't want to make love to prove something to her. She asks if this is about her scars and he insists it isn't. Lucinda is crushed, especially when Brian says he has needs of his own that begin with taking care of her! "You want to be intimate? Then let me hold you," he says and takes her to the bed. She relaxes against him and he tells her that he loves her.
At Lily's Luke returns home and finds Brian there. Brian says Lucinda had a bad night as Luke snarks at him about being a good husband. Brian says Luke's little jabs and his attitude are only hurting himself! Brian pours coffee and reminds Luke that he got himself kicked out of school, he is the one who started drinking and he is the one who made Noah leave him. "There are people who would help you," Brian says and points out that Luke is the one shutting out his friends and family. Luke says this is all Brian's fault because of the kiss. Brian apologizes and says it is his fault. He admits that he kissed Luke but says he isn't gay. He says life is more complicated than a gay definition; Luke accuses him of being stuck in the closet. Brian says his choice isn't wrong. He says he loves Lucinda very much and they can have a great life together. Luke asks how he can make a joke of marriage. Brian says they make one another happy in all of the ways except sex. Luke keeps hammering him with questions and Brian reminds Luke that he promised not to judge him. "Don't let that one mistake ruin everything," Brian says. Luke agrees to keep the kiss a secret. They shake hands.
Jack is at work when Brad comes in and begs him to come with him. He gets Jack to Yo's where Henry, Holden, Luke, Noah and Brian are waiting. Jack says he doesn't need a bachelor party but Brad insists that he stay. They order rounds of drinks and then a stripper arrives! Brian goes a little nuts and Luke calls him a closet case. He takes Noah aside and tries to convince Noah that Brian is in the closet and over-compensating. Noah says Luke needs to leave things alone and Luke snips that Noah is just like Brian! Noah is offended and Luke apologizes, saying he just wants a drink. He asks Noah to take him back but Noah says he can't and then leaves. Jack pushes the stripper toward Brian. Lily calls Holden and warns him that Carly is probably headed to them. When she arrives, Holden tells Carly to go home because Jack doesn't belong to her any longer. Drunk, she won't listen to him. He tells her to stop humiliating herself and she says Jack loves her as much now as he ever did! Jack overhears and asks about the kids. She says things are fine and asks him for one last dance! Jack takes her inside and she brings up the past and begs him to dance with her. Brad asks Holden what is going on as Carly leads Jack to the floor for a line dance. She gets tipsy and Jack takes her to a table. She stumbles out the door but Holden stops Jack from following, reminding him that Carly isn't his problem. Luke goes to the bar. Brian is drunk and says he's glad that Luke is sober tonight. Then he asks Luke for a ride home. Luke turns him down but when Brian can't even use his phone he agrees to drive him home. Carly returns from the bathroom and asks Jack for a mint. He offers to take her home, upsetting Holden. Jack says he has to do this.
Luke gets Brian home. Brian apologizes for losing control and says he's been so worried about Lucinda. Luke pours water but Brian makes a mess of things so Luke cleans him up. Brian takes Luke's hand. Luke tries to pull away and then Lily and Holden interrupt them! Brian says he drank too much and made a mess of things. Lily offers to make a sandwich but he says he needs to go to bed and leaves. Holden says how nice Luke is and apologizes for the night not ending the way he wanted. Luke goes upstairs and Holden tells Lily about Noah walking out on Luke. She is worried about Carly but he convinces her to forget about their friend and takes her to bed. Brian comes downstairs and pours another drink. Luke is there and says if Brian doesn't back off, he'll tell Lucinda.
Lucinda and Brian are taking Salsa lessons when Luke returns home; Lucinda asks if he wants to stay but Luke says he has something else to do. After a little more practice, Brian leads Lucinda to the sofa and tells her not to push herself so much; she says she was just having fun and that is the best medicine she could receive. They kiss. Brian pulls away and Lucinda suggests they go to bed. "No hurry," Brian says, worrying Lucinda. She asks why he is dodging her. He says he doesn't want to rush her but that only worries Lucinda more. She says she can make up her own mind about sex. "When it happens, it will blow your mind," she says and goes to their room.
Luke finds Carolyn in Chicago, stops her and says they need to talk. He tells Carolyn about Brian's marriage and asks why they divorced. She says it is personal; Luke tries to question her but she walks away. Carolyn calls Brian.
Luke returns to Oakdale and meets Noah at Java. He tells Noah about tracking down Carolyn; Noah asks why he did that. Luke says he has to find out what Brian is hiding and says Carolyn was shocked that he had remarried. He says Carolyn wouldn't tell him the reasons for the divorce. Brian walks in and confronts Luke! Luke pretends not to know what he is talking about so Brian says he knows about Carolyn. Brian says he doesn't care why Luke is mad but he has to stop acting like a child and insists that Luke misunderstood what happened that night. Brian tells Luke to think really hard about who might get hurt if he tries to 'out' Brian again.
