Janet's Confession.

Thursday, January 07 2010

Janet runs into Dusty at the Metro when he's trying to avoid her. She tells him that they can be adults about what happened and work together. They begin preparing things. He tells her she's being too hard on herself and she doesn't need to justify things, just live with them. "I'm not going to pretend it wasn't great, because it was," he adds. She can't argue with that but it was still wrong.

Father Farley goes to the farm house to see Janet. She confesses that she has broken her vows and is afraid she can't find a way back. "I was unfaithful to my husband," she explains. The priest tells her that she has to forgive herself.

Carly and Jack stop by the farm house. Carly leaves fast when she sees Janet is there. Janet informs Jack that she had a long talk with her priest about getting an annulment. He can't believe she wants to erase their marriage. She begins bickering with him about Carly. Janet feels like she can't compete with his other family and that makes her crazy and do things she regrets. They argue about who should move out. She insists that she doesn't belong there without him. He asks her if they can make sure that nothing is left before they throw it all away.

Janet goes back to work. Dusty tells her she looks hot. She's glad someone noticed.

You're Too Late.

Monday, January 04 2010

The lights return and Janet wakes up in bed with Dusty. She leaps out of bed. He tells her she's done nothing wrong. She feels pathetic. He insists that she isn't and has done nothing to be ashamed of. She thinks this was a huge mistake. Dusty asks her what the fact that her husband stood her up on New Year's says about her marriage. He claims that what happened between them tonight meant something. "You are so wrong," she claims, walking out.

Janet goes down to the lobby of the Lakeview. Jack finds her there and assumes she has been waiting for him. He tells her that being trapped in the cabin made him realize how much he loves her. "I would be honored if you would let me come back home," he says. He knows he can't make her wait around for him anymore and wants to get their marriage going again. She says it will only work if he commits to her over Carly. He suggests they stay there and get a room. She notices Dusty in the corner and puts the kibosh on that idea. After they leave, Dusty bursts a balloon.

When Jack and Janet return to the farm house, she pushes him back and runs off to take a shower. After she's done, he offers her some wine and starts kissing her. She pulls away. He promises that he will fix everything. She doesn't believe him and jumping into bed certainly won't fix things. "It's too late Jack. You're too late," she says, asking him to leave.

Teri goes to see her sister at the farm house. As she babbles about Dusty, Janet stops her and announces that her marriage is over. She doesn't want to talk about it though. "What's the story with you and Dusty?" Teri asks her. Janet gets defensive. Teri begins talking about how she feels about Dusty. Janet gets more upset and then goes upstairs.

Why Are You Here?

Wednesday, December 30 2009

Janet and Dusty are at a bar in the dark. She tells him that she has a date with her husband tonight and they are back on track. He's skeptical but wishes her a happy New Year and drifts away. As she sits at the bar, Jack calls and tells her he's stuck and won't be able to make it. He tells her the situation and promises he will try and make it back to her. She hangs up. Dusty returns and finds her sitting alone with champagne. She explains that Jack is stuck in a cabin with his ex. He pours himself some champagne and tells her about Jack trying to rip his head off. When she tries to leave, he can see that she's too drunk and refuses to let her drive.

Dusty takes Janet to a hotel room to sleep it off. He tucks her in and she asks him not to leave her alone in the dark. As she sleeps, he sits on the couch. She wakes when the fireworks start. She's annoyed that she is there with him and worries about what Jack would say. He suggests that she should take the blinders off when it comes to her husband. Janet insists that she loves her husband and doesn't believe in divorce. He tells her that she is better off staying there than going out on the streets. When she tries to leave, he kisses her. She kisses him back and he helps her into the bed.
