Vienna sees Bonnie at Al's and demands to know what she did to Henry. Bonnie hasn't got a clue what Vienna is talking about. Vienna follows her back to Metro, harping on her the whole time. Bonnie still won't say anything and tells Vienna to get lost because Derek will be there soon. Vienna pretends to leave but when Bonnie is distracted with her preparations, Vienna sneaks in and hides. Derek arrives and kisses Bonnie. They sit down to their meal but Bonnie is called away. Vienna makes a small noise which Derek hears. He investigates and sees her. He calls James and says they have a problem. He makes excuses to Vienna and leaves. Vienna falls asleep waiting for Bonnie to return. Henry finally calls and says he's been gambling. Vienna is worried about him but Henry says he's on a Black Jack roll and he'll be home soon. Bonnie tells Vienna there is nothing to worry about now. Vienna says there is a huge problem because Henry doesn't play Black Jack!

Bonnie is trying to get Henry to focus on the business when Vienna walks in in a killer dress. Henry is distracted, frustrating Bonnie. Derek arrives and Henry tries to get rid of him but Bonnie won't hear of it. They are talking about their next date when Paul calls and asks for a meeting. Derek leaves. Bonnie tells Henry to shut up before he says anything.

Bonnie runs into Derek at Java. She tells him about her job loss. He asks her on a date. Henry calls, interrupting. He says he'll be there soon to talk business. Derek brings up their date and Bonnie agrees to it. Henry arrives and tries to warn Bonnie away from Derek but she won't listen. She says Derek isn't a bad guy and Henry has misjudged him. Henry brings up Metro and says she can come back to work. No matter what Henry says Bonnie refuses to return to work. Vienna walks in and says that is fine with her. Bonnie changes her tune quickly and agrees to run Metro again!

Bonnie meets Derek at The Lakeview and asks about his business. He says they can't talk about it because Bonnie is Paul's lawyer and he has business with Paul. She says Paul isn't a client and then advises him not to drop his business with Paul yet. Derek says he is backing out because of the pollution and the real estate market, not because of the things she said, and asks her out.

Carly comes by Metro to check on things since the kids don't seem to need her. She and Henry have a drink and talk about their troubles. Henry is certain that Vienna isn't coming back from Switzerland and gets sad. Just then, Vienna walks in! She says she loves him and they kiss. Carly leaves. Vienna says she came to a realization in Switzerland - they can make this work with more help. She chatters on about hiring more help at Al's and Metro. Henry says that isn't necessary, thanks to Bonnie. Vienna can't believe he hired her. Bonnie arrives and the two begin fighting! Henry interrupts and says they can come to an agreement. Vienna says there is no agreement; Bonnie agrees. "I was safer with the criminals!" she exclaims and leaves. Henry angrily asks Vienna why she doesn't believe in him. He says Bonnie is an employee but Vienna won't listen. Henry gives in and says it is enough that she is back. He tells her to forget about Bonnie because they will be fine without her, even if they will be working more hours. Vienna begins having second thoughts. They kiss.

Bonnie is working at Metro when Derek arrives. He asks about lunch and she says they don't serve food. He charms her and she invites him to join her for lunch - if he'll tell her his name and his business. He says he is Derek and is new to town. She is serving him a sandwich when Henry walks in and questions Derek about his business. He says he helps fund start-up companies. As they chat, Bonnie tells Henry how Paul's plans are going. Derek listens intently as Bonnie says the project is in real jeopardy. Derek asks a few questions and Bonnie tells him the full story, including how worried she is about getting her legal fees from the deal. He leaves.

At the council chambers, Bonnie presents Paul's case. They talk about it and decide to give him the 30 days he asked for to complete the project. Bonnie, Meg and Paul are ecstatic!

Lucinda and Brian arrive at Worldwide. Bonnie greets them and hands some papers to Lucinda. Noah and Luke arrive and start dancing. Paul walks in but ignores everyone else. He goes straight to Henry and asks if Hank knows anyone with money. "You don't want to know those people," Henry warns but Paul won't listen. Henry gets him the number of a loan shark but warns him to be careful. Paul leaves. Bonnie questions Henry about Paul's visit but Henry won't say anything. She warns him not to do anything shady in the bar. "What's he into, Henry?" she asks but Henry will only tell her to stay away from Paul!

At Metro, Bonnie is talking to a supplier when Henry walks in. She plays hardball with their wine guy, who finally gives in to her demands. Henry tries to grab the phone but she keeps it away from him. He angrily says their wine guy is a friend and really knows his stuff but Bonnie won't do it. Henry says Marcello is very good at his job but Bonnie still won't back down; she says he needs to be tough or they'll never make a profit and shows him the renegotiated prices. Henry is surprised that Marcello agreed; she leaves. Paul arrives with legal papers and asks for Bonnie's advice. He tells her about the mess at the farm. She says she'll refer him to another expert but he won't take no for an answer. Henry butts in and tells Paul to stop. He offers double the money. Bonnie turns him down but Henry tells her to take the job! "Someone's got to feed the sharks," he says. Bonnie gets to work but Henry says she is working too fast and needs to slow down. He says Paul's legal fees could pay for a lot of stuff!

Carly arrives at Metro and thanks him for watching the club while she was in Montana. She offers a gift for Vienna and says it's more of a bribe because she needs him to take a bigger role at Metro. Carly says she needs time with the kids because of a big mistake she made. Henry agrees to do it. She leaves. Bonnie arrives and asks Henry how he is going to convince Vienna to give him more time at the bar. "She left me," he says sadly. The news doesn't disappoint Bonnie but she realizes how upset Henry is and tries to be a friend. She advises him to work as much as he can and if all else fails, to find a new love. Bonnie calls an associate who stops by a while later. He gives her an envelope filled with cash and leaves. Henry asks what she does for the man. Vienna will only say he was a client who she kept out of jail. "I'm sick of being such a good lawyer that I end up feeling dirty," she says. Henry offers to take the money off her hands! Bonnie decides to give the money to charity and then says she needs to find a new profession. "Have I got a job for you," Henry says! He says she could be a manager for him so that he can concentrate on Al's. He says it is just a temporary fix until she figures out what she wants. Bonnie wonders what will happen when Vienna comes back; Henry says she isn't coming back. Bonnie gives in and accepts the job offer.
