After Jade leaves, Cleo phones the front desk and requests to extend her stay, indefinitely!
Easily Fooled
Jade arrives at Cleo's room to find her making herself up to look like Gwen. When she tells her it's over and she has to leave town, Cleo lets Jade know she doesn't need her anymore. Jade tries to talk some sense into Cleo, but to no avail. As she continues to urge Cleo to leave town, her phone beeps interrupting their discussion, and Jade remembers she's supposed to meet with Luke. Before she goes, she instructs Cleo to break into Will and Gwen's place, replace the stuff she took earlier and then meet her at the bus station later.
Later, Will sends Gwen off to class and tells her Mr. Stephens cancelled his class today so he don't have to leave for another hour. After she leaves, Will phones Marcus and asks him to take notes for him in Lit class. He says he has something he has to do today. After hanging up the phone, he leaves and Cleo hides in the bushes. Once Will's out of sight, she grabs the extra key from under the plant, goes inside and begins transforming herself into Gwen! As soon as the transformation is complete, Barbara enters the room and wonders why Gwen, who is really Cleo, is not in class. Cleo says she had something else to do. Barbara accepts the answer and shows her the wardrobe she designed for her. Cleo, pretending to be Gwen, admires the clothes and manages to fool Barbara into thinking she's really Gwen. However, when Barbara asks if she's heard from Adam, without any emotion Cleo replies that she hasn't heard from him, but her casual reaction makes Barbara suspicious. Barbara questions her reaction and Cleo expresses that she's just trying to let it go. Barbara apologizes, but Cleo tells her there's no need for an apology. She goes on to say she and Will need to move ahead and stop dwelling in the past. After a while, Barbara glances at her watch and announces she has to go, so she gathers up the outfits, leaving behind the one outfit Cleo said was her favorite.
Back at the cottage, Cleo quickly packs her bag and heads into the living room to leave. Just as she gets ready to leave, Will walks through the door!
Tricked
At the hotel, Cleo plays one of Gwen's tapes as she mimics her. While mimicking Gwen, she fantasizes about being with Will until Jade comes in and interrupts her fantasy. She tells Jade she doesn't want to work anymore and that she's ready for the real thing. Jade lets her know it will happen soon.
Moments after Jade gets off the phone with Will, she tells Cleo their plan is ruined because Gwen's not going to Montana. When Cleo confesses to breaking into Will and Gwen's place, an angry Jade tells Cleo the plan's over and demands that she leave town.
After Jade storms out of the room, a devastated Cleo gazes at herself in the mirror and vows, "For you maybe, but I'm just getting started."
Two Days of Freedom
Cleo searches outside the cottage for a key. Once she finds the key, she goes inside and immediately begins to study everything about Gwen's life. She enters the bedroom and makes herself comfortable in Will and Gwen's bed.
Soon after, she straightens up the bed, heads for the dresser and searches through the drawers. While she's trying on Gwen's clothes, she hears Will and Gwen come inside and stops cold! As Gwen heads for the bedroom, Cleo hunkers down behind the door. Gwen changes her mind, goes back into the living room and tells Will she's going to put the flowers in some water.
Later, Gwen returns with Casey and Maddie in tow. Cleo takes the opportunity to sneak out the bedroom window, and Will and Gwen leave so Casey and Maddie can be alone.
