Brad and Katie arrive at the police station and tell Margo about seeing Spencer. They show her the picture of the area where Brad saw Spencer but Margo says it doesn't matter because she can't launch an investigation in Chicago. She goes to check something out. Katie is worried about the mysterious emails. Margo returns and questions why they were in Chicago; they tell her about the job interviews. She believes Brad imagined seeing Spencer but he insists it was Spencer. She says the medical examiner would have noticed if he performed an autopsy on a dead body. Katie says she didn't see Spencer. Brad asks if she doubts him; she admits she does. Brad swears that the woman he saw was Spencer. Margo tells Brad there is no way he saw Spencer. "I'm going to find her and bring her back here," he says and hurries out. Margo tells Katie it is time to come clean. She asks what Katie knows that she isn't telling! Katie clams up and leaves. Dani returns, asks what is going on and Margo says it doesn't matter.
Dani barges into Metro and is looking around. Henry sees her and questions her. He says he doesn't have Spencer's body. She admits she was looking for something related to Spencer. Henry says she is looking in the wrong place because he had nothing to do with Spencer's disappearance. "I need to find the body," she says desperately and tells Henry that if she doesn't find the body her career is in the toilet. He doesn't say anything. She turns to go and Henry says he didn't do anything to Spencer. She leaves. Brad arrives and tells Henry about seeing Spencer. He asks for Henry's help in finding her. Henry pours a stiff drink and says Brad must be hallucinating! "The cops won't help but I know you can," Brad says and asks for Henry's Chicago contacts. Henry reluctantly agrees to help. He makes a few calls; Brad tells him about seeing Spencer. Henry says Spencer might contact him and suggests that she may not have tried to frame Brad. He says maybe she just wanted to fake her death! Brad doesn't believe that. Henry says maybe it is another plan to break up his marriage.
Brad returns home and tells Katie that Henry is on the case. Katie says she's been doing job research for them. Brad says she should look for a job without him; she says she goes where he goes. He tells her about Henry's thoughts about Spencer. Katie says she loves him. Brad says he is going to find Spencer and says it is okay that she doesn't quite believe him yet. Katie gives in and says she will help him. They sit down and list what they know about Spencer. Henry calls and tells them someone has spotted the thug with the music box, but so far no Spencer sightings. The computer beeps and a message from the contact pops up. "Tell Brad to back off," the message reads.
You Want A Fight, You've Got One!
Brad and Katie are having breakfast at Al's; she is very worried about their mystery helper. Brad says the mystery man doesn't matter because he hasn't contacted them and probably won't. Katie is still worried; Brad says if the man does contact them, they will call in the cops. He says they should focus on work and getting their show back. They walk to WOAK. Kim is thrilled to see them. Brad brings up their jobs; Kim isn't sure work is the best idea since he is still under suspicion. She says they have to give this time because the advertisers may object. Katie says this is unfair but Brad goes along with Kim – as long as she lets Katie go back on-air immediately! Katie says she won't work without Brad.
Katie takes Brad to Java and says it is time they moved to a bigger market!
Katie and Brad go to Chicago to talk to a contact there. Brad is nervous about the interview but Katie calms him down. They go inside and pitch their idea. The man says it's a no-go – because they know about Brad's arrest and the advertisers won't support him! Brad gets angry but Katie drags him out before he can say anything stupid. They are walking on the street; Brad says Katie is better off without him. She says Spencer planned all of this and he isn't to blame. She goes to get coffee, leaving Brad on the street. While he is waiting, Brad sees Spencer. He calls out to her but she runs away! Katie comes out and Brad says he just saw Spencer. Katie thinks Brad is imagining it but he insists that he saw her.
It's A Mystery!
Brad arrives home and tells Katie he knows what she did. She says she didn't do anything and asks how he got released; he insists she knows but she swears she doesn't know anything. Brad tells her about Spencer's missing body; Katie is shocked. They agree to drop the subject. Brad goes into another room and Katie takes the note out of the trash; Liberty calls and cries when she hears Brad's voice. He talks to Janet next. Katie throws the note into the trash. Brad goes to take a shower and Katie emails her contact to find out what is going on. Brad returns and watches her. The email bounces back so Katie calls one of the tech guys at WOAK to check out the address. He says the address doesn't have a name attached and it originated in Berlin.
Brad comes back to the kitchen and tries to take Katie to bed but she says they have work to do! She tells him about Henry and Vienna and Brad says it is time they stopped acting impulsively – and stayed away from Henry! Katie convinces him to come with her.
Once they arrive home, Brad demands answers from Katie. She tells him about the email but says she doesn't know who emailed her or what they were planning. He asks her for all of the details and she says there were no threats made but the contact said they might want a favor in the future. Brad says they have to go on from here like nothing is wrong. He kisses her. Another message arrives, the messenger says he will see Katie soon!
Spencer's Body Is Missing!
At the police station, Brad tells Tom he didn't kill Spencer and asks when the bail hearing will be. Tom goes to Margo but she says she won't let Brad out on bail because he is guilty. Tom says Margo isn't in charge; she says the judge will never let bail be set because of Brad's involvement in Henry and Katie's search of Spencer's room. Tom tells her not to tell the judge and she becomes livid. Jack arrives with Janet and convinces Margo to let him see Brad.
