A Victorian Christmas!

In the dollhouse, William and Gwen are standing over an empty crib. Their baby died earlier in the year. He tells her there could be other children but Gwen doesn't believe it will happen. She hears a baby crying but believes it is only her imagination. They go downstairs when Ms. Stewart (Alison) is going through their mail. She thanks Gwen for taking her in and shows her a letter with a necklace in it. Gwen hears the crying baby again and this time doesn't think it is only her imagination. William hears it, too, and so does Ms. Stewart. They all go outside and find a baby in the cold. William says they have to notify the police; Gwen says they can offer a notice and reward for information. Ms. Stewart hurries off to place the notifications. Gwen and Will are standing over the crib when Iris enters, telling them the baby's mother has been found. Downstairs Barbara, the proprietress of a home for unwed mothers, is waiting with Sofie and Aaron. She shows them a birth certificate and asks for the reward. A baby nurse (Susan) arrives and tells them that she believes the baby is really Gwen's because she saw Barbara leaving the hospital with a baby the night Gwen's baby "died". Sofie tells them it is true and that she was in on it but has wanted to return the child for some time. Alison returns and shows Gwen the necklace that came in the mail. Angry, William confronts Barbara. Barbara tells them that Iris was part of the scam! Aaron tries to run but William stops him. Alison calls the police and the criminals are taken away. It begins to snow outside.

Back in Old Town, Faith, Sage and Natalie return to the window and watch. They realize that all of the dolls are now in the main salon and all of the servants are now in the kitchen. As Sage watches the Carly doll turns and winks at her!

Craig Redeems Himself - For Now!

At the hospital Iris makes her way in to Sofie's room. Sofie asks about Cole and Iris makes a few excuses as to why Cole hasn't been to see her. She tells Sofie that Cole sent her something. Iris pulls legal papers from her purse - it is a petition to terminate Cole's parental rights! Sofie can't believe it. Iris makes things worse by talking about Cole's career and Cole's life. "All he cares about is himself," Sofie says. Gwen walks in and tells Iris to get out! Iris tells Gwen about the papers. Gwen looks them over and points out that this is great for Sofie because now Cole - and Iris! - can't come back to haunt her. Gwen threatens Iris with police action if she won't leave. She does. Sofie breaks down in tears. She asks Gwen how she can be a good mom when she barely finished high school. A nurse brings the baby in but Sofie tells her to take the child away.

The Best Laid Plans...

Iris and Barbara go different directions just as Will and Gwen walk into the lounge. Will asks Barbara if she tried to buy them a baby. Barbara plays dumb but they don't buy it. Instead she tries to turn things around on Alison, saying she is lying about everything and that her lawyer swore there was no baby conspiracy. "You're lying," Will says. Iris listens to them. Will and Gwen both ask why she did it but Barbara keeps up her "I'm innocent" act. Will tells Babs about Allie meeting with the lawyer. Babs insists she doesn't know who Cole and Sofie are but Will doesn't buy it for a second and demands that she tell them the truth. Grasping at straws, Barbara tells them that this is all Iris' fault! Gwen grabs on to the excuse, wanting desperately not believe in Barbara. Babs suggests that the money she gave the lawyer for "hospital expenses" may have been turned over to Iris. Gwen says it doesn't matter because she can't raise Cole's child. Gwen goes to find Iris but quickly comes back and apologizes to Babs for thinking she was involved. She and Will leave. Seconds later Iris returns - telling Barbara that she is going to pay for her lies! Barbara tells Iris she'll pay anything as long as Iris disappears that night!

In the hall, Will and Gwen realize that the couple of thousand dollars Barbara mentioned isn't enough to fund the "new life" that Cole told Allie about. They put two and two together and realize that Barbara had to have been involved. Barbara and Iris are leaving - with a huge chunk of cash from the hotel safe - when Will and Gwen find them! The confront both mothers. Iris tries to turn things around, saying she and Barbara were only giving Gwen what she wanted! "Somebody is going to get that baby," Iris cries. Gwen says she won't raise Cole's baby. Barbara begs them to reconsider but Gwen refuses, telling Babs that Sofie wants her baby and was forced into the adoption. Barbara apologizes. Will hand the envelope of cash back to Babs. "I thought you were better than her, but you're not," Gwen says. They leave. Iris grabs the envelope of money and leaves, too. A few minutes later Cole arrives. Barbara tells him it's over and when Cole keeps pushing, saying he can get Sofie back on board, she tells him it doesn't matter because Will and Gwen want out. She tells him to leave and find another family to ruin! Barbara sits alone for a long time and then tries to call Will and Gwen.

Baby Fever in Oakdale

Barbara meets Iris in the limo and tells her things are falling apart. They argue about who is at fault. Barbara tells Iris to focus on Sophie and get her out of town as soon as the baby girl is born. Iris didn't know the baby was a girl and becomes really excited. She kisses Barbara! Iris gets very excited about having a second chance with Gwen now that Gwen will have her own daughter. Barbara becomes angry and reminds Iris that she is on the way out of town just as soon as Sofie delivers! "Our deal stands: you want the money, you get out of town," Babs says. Iris, smiling, says she may not want the money any longer. Barbara warns her to follow through on their deal - or she'll make sure Iris disappears forever!

In the hospital, Sofie is holding her belly and telling the baby how much she loves her. She hears the argument outside and hurries out to find Aaron and Cole fighting! Cole pretends to be the victim but Sofie wants to know why they were fighting. Aaron says it was about the adoptive parents and she desperately wants to know about them. Aaron tells her the parents are Will and Gwen! "There's no way that's true," she says. They continue arguing and a security guard arrives. Cole convinces the guard to get Aaron out of there and then helps Sofie back to her room. Inside, he settles her down and goes to check on things with the doctor. As soon as Cole is gone, Aaron returns to Sofie's room (he was hiding in the stairwell) and tells her that Cole has been manipulating her the entire time. He points out that Cole is the one pushing for the adoption and Cole is always talking about starting his life - not their life - once the adoption is completed. Sofie is stunned when Aaron lays out all the details of her adoption and Gwen's adoption and the meeting between Cole and Allie at Yo's. Just then Cole returns with another security guard! Aaron leaves. Sofie turns on Cole, tells him who Alison is and what she is doing. "How could you do this to me?" she asks him. Cole makes up an innocent-sounding story about Alison but Sofie doesn't believe him. She orders him to tell the truth! Cole admits he knew the Munson's were adopting but says it was a coincidence. He says he loves Gwen and just wanted to make her happy. Sofie can't believe him. "Do you love our baby?" she asks. Cole swears he loves the kiddo but he wants her to have a good life. Sofie isn't sure whether to believe him or not and starts to cry. Cole keeps manipulating her. He tells her to rest and plays the nice-boyfriend role. Then he leaves the room so she can rest. In the hall, Cole calls Iris to tell her the jig is up.

Iris hurries to The Lakeview to find Barbara. She tells her that Alison and Aaron blew everything just as Will and Gwen arrive!

Alison and Aaron Investigate

A while later Alison runs into Barbara at The Lakeview. She asks about the baby! They sit and talk and Alison says she believes Sofie is Will and Gwen's birth mom! Barbara tells Alison she is crazy. Alison points out all the similarities but Barbara says it's just coincidence and she should know since she hired Will and Gwen's lawyer! Barbara tells Alison to drop it but Alison pushes her to contact the lawyer to learn the truth. Barbara agrees but then tells Alison to keep her suspicions to herself. Alison leaves. Babs calls Iris and they meet in her limo. "We have a problem," Barbara says. She tells Iris about Alison and tells her to hurry up and get Cole and Sofie out of town. Barbara leaves. Iris calls Cole and orders him to meet her immediately. When Cole arrives she asks him about Alison but Cole swears he doesn't know her. Iris tells him to get out of town or the whole deal will be blown. Cole reminds Iris that Sofie going with him to L.A. wasn't part of the deal but she says it doesn't matter and he has to get our out of town - now!

Back in Old Town, Cole asks Iris for the cash from Barbara. She hands it over as Sofie arrives and tells Sofie that she is making the right decision by sticking by Cole. Iris hugs Cole, whispers that he better not mess this up, and leaves.
