Vienna Hyatt had a relationship with Simon Frasier, who loved money and good times. When Simon disappeared on her more times than she cared for, she became friendly with Mike Kasnoff and we found out that Simon was meeting Katie Peretti, who is Mike and Simon's ex-wife, respectively. When Katie and Vienna met, Katie warned Vienna off of Simon. She told her that he was after her diamonds and wasn't as wealthy as she thought, but Vienna didn't believe her. Eventually, they went their separate ways and Vienna went to live with the Crown Prince of Leonia, Prince Adolpho. The two arrived in Oakdale to attend a charity event at Memorial Hospital, and Vienna wanted to reunite with Simon. Katie let Vienna know that Simon was involved with Carly Tenney Snyder, though Vienna wanted Simon for herself. Later, Vienna was given a lot to drink and passed out in her room while Simon removed her fancy jewels and replaced them with a replica. She had no idea until Jack informed her of this. The jewels were recovered and Simon and Carly left Oakdale for several months.
During Vienna's stay in Oakdale, she became quite enamored with Mike Kasnoff, and stayed at the Snyder Farm while she learned she was banished from Leonia and the Prince didn't want her back. It was then that Vienna met Brad Snyder, and they became friends. Vienna was interested in Jack, but Jack was not looking, so Brad offered to make Jack jealous by hanging out with her. Since it didn't work, she set her sights on Henry Coleman. They became engaged but when Henry caught Brad and Vienna in bed, the wedding was called off. Nothing happened, but Henry was crushed. Eventually, Henry forgave Vienna and believed her and it appears as though they are on their way toward mending fences.
Henry and Vienna began a hot love affair but he couldn't stop gambling and in a game one night lost all of their money. In another game, the owner of Al's Diner lost everything to Henry and they became the co-owners of the diner. Henry was mortified but Vienna loved the idea and threw herself into the new job. Henry kept coming up with money making schemes but Vienna would have none of it. Grey Gerard arrived in town and came between Vienna and Henry by taking the diner from Henry and convincing Vienna that Henry didn't really love her. Grey was killed by Margo and the truth came out.
Vienna, who now owned all of Al's, began to make her way back to Henry. But Henry used the money that Bonnie helped them get from Grey's estate to buy Metro. Vienna was furious and told him to sell it but Henry wouldn't. Vienna left town, certain that she and Henry were on different paths. She returned several weeks later because she couldn't stay away from him.
Vienna was livid to learn that Henry had hired Bonnie to help him at Metro and ordered that he fire her. Henry convinced Vienna that they needed the help; she and Bonnie formed a truce. Derek arrived in town and charmed Bonnie but Henry warned Vienna he was a bad guy. When Henry disappeared, Vienna suspected Derek and spied on him with Bonnie. Derek caught her and suspected they were working together so he kidnapped them and locked them in a warehouse.
Henry rescued them.

Vienna is shocked to find Barbara in her bed. Barbara says she's in the wrong room. Vienna laughs and says she can't believe that, for a minute, she thought that Henry was having an affair with her. Vienna's sure he would never cheat on her with someone so old. That's enough to make Barbara angry. "We are having an affair," she declares. They trade insults and Vienna refuses to believe that Henry would betray her with 'an old, desperate, lonely woman'. Barbara tells her to do something classy for once and disappear. When she brings up what Henry can do with feathers, Vienna explodes and jumps her just as Henry comes in and pulls them apart. Vienna orders him to tell her what Barbara says isn't true. He takes Barbara outside and can't believe that she showed up in his room like this. "I need you to re-kindle my fame," she says. "Your flame has burned down my whole life!" he shouts. He tells her that he has no interest in her and never wants to see her again. "That's your loss," Barbara pouts. Henry returns to Vienna and tells her he loves her. She doesn't want to hear his excuses and can't believe what an idiot she has been. "This is about Ralph," he explains, telling her the story about the mob and that he was forced to sleep with Barbara. His excuses don't help. They prove he wasn't only cheating, he was also lying, laundering money and nearly got her killed. "This is the last time you get to break my heart," she says. He asks her to run away with him but she refuses and walks out.
Katie and Brad go out for ice cream. He leaves to see Jack as Vienna walks in. Katie tells her that she is having a boy. Vienna slouches at the table and tells her about Henry's affair. Katie tries explaining what he did and Vienna realizes she must have known about this and helped him betray her. She bursts into tears and storms out. Katie runs after her.
Vienna sadly packs her bags.
Henry sits on his bed. Vienna wakes up and tries to pull him under the covers but begins coughing. She slips off to get some water. He calls Barbara and leaves a message, begging to see her again. Vienna comes back out and Audrey begins banging on the door. Vienna hides in the bathroom. Audrey barges in and tells her son that Ralph has blood in his eyes. They bicker about what body part the mobster will take first and he asks her to distract Vienna. She comes out of the bathroom and Audrey offers to take her to the hospital.
Audrey runs into Barbara at the hospital. She's there to see her oncologist. Audrey begins probing about her cancer and Barbara admits that the anxiety over these tests has made her act reckless with a younger man. Audrey thinks she should be celebrating this and having fun with her 'young stud'. After she tells her that she and Vienna will be stuck there all day, Barbara hurries away. Vienna walks out from her checkup, eager to go. Audrey encourages her to get more tests done and pushes her off to find a doctor. She immediately calls her son and tells him that Barbara is on her way to the hotel. He tells her he has another plan – he's gambling. Vienna comes back and asks Audrey to get her a soda. As soon as her back is turned, Vienna runs off.
Henry gambles in a hotel room. He's caught trying to cheat. "That could get you killed," one of the gamblers tells him. Ralph arrives and orders them off before they can attack him. "Didn't I warn you about letting me down?" Ralph says.
Barbara goes looking for Henry. When there's no answer at his door, she breaks into his room. A few moments later, Vienna walks in and catches Barbara sitting in her bed.
