As Jack's arm is bandaged at the airport Luke argues with Damian. Luke remembers that right before Lily fell she said she'd made a terrible mistake, now he knows that mistake was letting Damian get close to him. Luke says that Damian tried to turn him against his family, and that Damian was scared to death that Lily would wake up and tell him the truth. They scream at each other. Luke attacks Damian, calls him a stupid, lying son-of-a-bitch. Holden grabs Luke away, Luke continues to rail at Damian. Dallas shows up says that Luke will have to be the one to press charges Against Damian, Luke says it looks like he's not the only one as he sees Lucy walks in. Lucy confronts Damian, says he left her to die in his wine cellar. Dallas tells the cop with him to cuff Damian and read him his rights, but Luke doesn't want the hassle of pressing charges. If Damian goes back to Malta they can pretend he never existed. He tells Damian he is not his son, not now, not ever. Damian says Luke will always be his son, but Holden faces Damian down and disagrees, says your hold on my son and my family is over.
Luke signs his inheritance over to Damian, give him back the ring Damian gave him, he is no longer a part of him. Holden warns Damian to make this the last time he interferes in his family not to ever come back here again. Lucy, Holden and Luke hug. Lucy starts telling Luke what happened with the explosion at Fair Winds. She says they have Holden to thank for so much. Luke apologizes to Holden. Holden tells him he didn't stop him like he could have, legally, because he wasn't going to try to control him, but that he would have been on a plane following him to Malta. They wish Lily was there with them. On the plane, Damian looks at the ring Luke returned to him and thinks of what Luke said, that he will always be a Snyder, Damian says we'll see about that.
Damian demands Sergio release Luke. Luke breaks free and knocks the gun from Sergio's hand. Sergio runs. Holden gets the gun and holds in on Damian. Luke is angry at Damian, wants the truth; who Sergio is and what's going on. Damian tells him that Sergio works for the syndicate and Damian owes them money. They wanted Luke's inheritance, that's why he was taking Luke to Malta. It dawns on Luke that Damian truly may have been lying about being sick. Damian admits it was a lie.
Jack shows up, He just got a report that there was an explosion at Fair Winds. Luke turns his back on Damian after finding out that he jeopardized Lucy's life. The cops come in with Sergio, dragging him away in handcuffs. Dallas arrives, Jack and Holden want Damian arrested. Damian gets Luke aside, tries to convince him he wouldn't have hurt Lucy and it wasn't just about money, taking him to Malta. They start talking about the fact that Luke is gay and Damian can't accept that. Luke realizes that Damian really was the one who had the deprogrammer hired to try to change him. Luke tells Damian that he is not his father. Luke sees all the truth. He tells Damian because of him his mother might die.
Holden fails in his efforts to stop Damian from taking Luke away, they leave for the airport. Lucy & Dusty discover they are tied to a now leaking gas pipe. They get loose. Dusty finds an ax, busts down the door. They escape as the wine cellar explodes. Lucy is out cold, an ambulance is called, but she finally comes around, freaked out, worried about Luke, can't breath. Jack and Holden are able to meet the plane before it leaves for Malta. They find out that the law is looking for Damian. Sergio walks onto the plane and overhears. He warns Damian that they can't take that flight, tells that he heard the law is ready to detain him when he arrives in Malta. Luke wants to know what's going on. Sergio takes Luke's arm, Holden and Jack show up, demand Sergio let go of Luke. Sergio grabs a travel bag and hits a security guard in the head with it, pulls a gun and takes Luke hostage in the airport terminal.
Damian pins Lucy against the wall. She tells him she knows he's lying about his imminent death. He says he needs to make sure she doesn't share his diagnosis with anyone; anyone at all. Lucy starts telling Damian how she really feels about him taking Luke to Malta. Suddenly, she is getting dizzy, Damian had switched the tea. She passes out and Damian carries her over his shoulder, locking her in the wine cellar. Dusty walks in and finds the needle Lucy was going to use to take Damian's blood lying next to the overturned tea cup. Lucy comes to in the wine cellar.
Damian runs into Dusty who says I know she's here. Damian says she's not here and that he can't believe Dusty broke into his house, he should call the police. Damian thinks Dusty left but he didn't. Lucy gets up, finds out she's locked in the room, calls for help. She hears footsteps, grabs a bottle of wine to use as a weapon, but discovers it is Dusty. Sergio appears with a gun, asks what's going on. Lucy tells him she found Damian's records and faxed them to the police, it's all over. Sergio doesn't believe her. He ties Lucy's and Dusty's hands to a pipe. Lucy shouts Luke's name.
Luke arrives back at Fair Winds, he's down after talking to Holden, but he's ready to go, "Let's get out of here," He says. Then he ask Damian where Lucy is. Damian says, "You know doctors, something came up." Luke tries to call Lucy, he wants to say goodbye. Damian gets frustrated, tells him they need to go! Luke says it's really just hitting him that he's actually leaving the country.
At Fair Winds, Lucy talks to Luke, he tells her he knows all her about her plan to try and expose Damian's illness as a lie, but he's going to Malta. Lucy tells Luke that if he really believes Damian is dying, he has her blessing. Luke leaves, says he's going to say goodbye to all his friends. Lucy calls the hospital, says her grandmother is sick. Sergio shows up, he tells Damian that Lucy is like a dog with a bone. Sergio says do you know what will happen if you are not on that plane with your son tonight. Damian tells him to get out.
Back at Fair Winds, Lucy walks in the room, she wraps her arms around Damian, kisses him big time, but she's got a trick up her sleeve, she had taken something out of her purse before she walked in. She apologizes for running out the night before; she tries to get him to postpone his flight, pretending she wants to spend time with him. She tells him she doesn't want to get involved with him because he's leaving, she's putting on a good act, like she's upset that she won't get to know him, she wants more than a kiss to remember him by, tells him there are so many things she wants to know about him. Damian is flattered, asks her what she'd like to know. She says she wants to know everything, how it feels to know you're dying, then asks him how he takes his tea. She turns her back to Damian. She has something to put in his tea. She sits down with Damian, bringing them tea, starts talking about her youth and personal things. Damian smells his tea, says good choice, but doesn't drink. He says there's something they need to discuss. He wants her to stay on at Fair Winds, doesn't want to worry about her while he's gone. She says she won't be happy for a long time after he leaves. He picks up his tea, they toast to tomboys and tea parties, and he finally takes a drink. He passes out, or pretends to. Lucy is going to give him a blood test, but he grabs her.
It's late at night. Luke awakes and finds Damian still up, asks him why he's up so late. Damian says his medications keep him awake. He asks Luke if he's packed and ready to go to Malta. Luke wants to go to his house but Damian says there's no time. Holden shows up demanding to see Luke. He and Luke talk. Luke asks why he's there in the middle of the night. Holden tells Luke he came to try and convince him to stay, that he thinks Damian's story about dying is a lie. Luke doesn't believe it. Holden also tells him that Lucy is looking at his medical records as they speak, trying to find out if he faked his diagnosis Luke gets angry. Holden says what if he locks you up in a cellar again? Luke says he has seen Damian taking his medication, he knows he's sick and he is going to Malta to be with him when he dies and bury him, it's the right thing to do. Holden says his gut tells him that Damian is lying, begs Luke to wait, to give him time to prove it, wait a week or so, if the story pans out, fine; go. Luke says no, the decision is final, he's going to Malta.
Sergio calls Damian from the hospital, says they must leave for Malta immediately no matter how Luke feels. Sergio is spying on Lucy. Dusty is at the hospital with the baby and sees Lucy go into the records office, sees Sergio lurking, watching her. Dusty is there getting medicine for his child. He keeps noticing Sergio who looks really suspicious. Lucy is snooping around in the records office in the dark. Someone tries to open the door, jiggling the handle. Lucy gets a lamp off the desk to use as a weapon, but it's only Dusty. He says she has no business there, tells her about the guy outside who's been watching her. Lucy accuses Dusty of following her. He tells that baby Johnny has been sick. He describes Sergio to her, warns her. Lucy tells him this is none of his business and storms out. Holden shows up and tells her that Dusty called him. Both men tell her she's in danger, that Damian is having her followed. Holden tells Lucy he'll find someone else to handle this. She tells Dusty he had no right to interfere. After Dusty and Holden walk off, Lucy takes something from the nurse's cart and puts it in her purse. Sergio calls Damian and tells him it's a good thing he got to the records room first got Damian's files before Lucy got there. Sergio says they need to leave for Malta tonight. After Damian hangs up, Luke asks him who was on the phone. Damian tells him it was his latest lab results.
