At the farm, Emma gives Meg a box of baby items from the attic. Meg appreciates the gesture, but was hoping for new items, as she wanted the baby to be a fresh start for everyone. She goes on to talk about how much she believes Paul has really changed. Emma is skeptical and does not think it will not last. Meg is adamant that Paul knows he has to change and Emma sadly hopes she is right. Meg decides to go baby shopping and leaves.
Meg comes home and tells Emma she saw Paul at the cemetery. Emma tells her she is still her baby and she will always worry about her. Meg's phone rings, and Paul wants to make sure she made it home okay. After she hangs up, Emma tells Meg she thinks Paul was just checking to see where she was, but Meg thinks they are going to make it.
Alison and Aaron wake up, still talking about babies. They go downstairs and leave for their days. Emma and Janet are talking about cooking when Mike arrives to tell her that work can begin at the job site soon. Emma stuns him when she says she is calling off the project! He tries to talk her out of it but Emma is determined. Carly arrives and takes Janet outside. Janet is annoyed that Jack didn't even call and storms off to find him. Emma calls out and Carly says things are fine. She turns to go as Holden and Lily walk in looking very chummy. Holden follows Carly out and asks if they can talk. Carly says she knows what is going on and is fine with it. He says Ethan's ordeal made them both see things more clearly. Carly asks what happens when the drama is over.
In the kitchen, Emma tells Lily that she is canceling the project. Lily says Emma has to think about her financial future but Emma remains determined and leaves the kitchen. Mike says he'll be moving on, too, unless Lily wants him to stay in Oakdale. Lily says things have changed and he shouldn't stay in town on her behalf. Holden returns inside. Lucinda arrives with Luke and Brian. Emma says her idea is to turn the land into a park for kids. Lucinda says she'll get a big write-off for that and Brian says he can help her raise money for the park. Holden and Lily leave.
Jack is at the farm talking to Emma. She tells him Ethan is coming home and then asks about Janet. Jack is saved from answering her questions when Paul calls.
Lily, Holden and Aaron get the party ready at Lily's house. Emma arrives with the girls. Mike arrives and says Paul is safe and he's put up all kinds of safety measures at the job site. He leaves so the family can spend time together. Aaron catches Holden watching Mike and Lily and asks what is going on between then. Holden says he is happy for Lily but he obviously isn't. Lily comes back inside as Faith asks if they can go to the farm. Lily agrees after Emma notes that she needs some rest. Holden says he'll go so she can invite Mike back. Lily says she doesn't want Mike! She says she wants a shower and says he can stay if he'd like to clean up, too. He agrees to stick around. She goes upstairs to clean up. Holden follows a while later and is grabbing some clothes from his old drawer when Lily comes out of the shower wearing only a towel. She is uncomfortable but also drawn to him again. Holden says he can use another bath but Lily tells him to use hers. She lies down as he goes inside. When he returns, she is asleep. He is about to leave when Lily reaches out and asks him not to go! She invites him to lie down with her and they kiss. "I'm so happy you're home," she says and they make love!
Emma gets the kids back to the farm. Faith asks Aaron if Alison is pregnant yet. He says no. The girls take Ethan upstairs. Emma questions Aaron about his marriage. She says marriage is a huge commitment and a lot of pressure. She says having kids immediately may be more pressure than he and Alison can take. Allie arrives as the kids are sitting down to have cookies. She and Aaron go upstairs and the kiddos giggle.
Aaron and Alison arrive at the farm. They are upset because no one called to give them the news. Emma says she didn't want to spoil their honeymoon; Aaron says they would have come home immediately. Faith comes downstairs and asks if Ethan is dead. Aaron reassures her that Ethan will be fine. A while later, a worker calls and says they are trying the rescue again.
At the farm, Emma breaks down because of the accident. Meg tries to reason with her but Emma says this is the devil's fault. Meg asks who she blames and Emma says, "Paul!" She doesn't mean it, though, and tries to explain that to Meg. She says disaster after disaster has happened since she sold the farm. She blames herself! Meg tries convincing Emma that she isn't to blame and that God wouldn't try to hurt Emma by harming other members of the family. Emma feels a little better. Meg leaves. Luke calls Emma to tell her about Holden's accident. He says Holden will be okay but he's at the hospital. Emma says she'll check on the girls and then will go to the hospital. She hangs up and prays for her family. "Just for the record, God, I'm a strong woman but this is enough," she says.
Carly tracks down Emma and says she needs to get to the job site because of Ethan's accident. Emma is very worried but then Faith walks in, blaming herself. Carly comforts the girl, saying she isn't responsible.
