Jack and Carly arrive at Fairwinds. Jack warns Paul that a sketch isn't the remedy for their lack of information. Paul describes the house and Carly sketches it. She finishes and Paul realizes her sketch is a perfect replica. Jack says it's just a house and won't help them narrow the search. Barbara suggests that Paul try to call his vision back. Paul focuses in on the sign with the swans and realizes Meg is on an island. He describes that to Jack who says it's a little bit more. They leave. Paul starts searching on the Internet for clues to Meg's location. Barbara angrily tells him to let Jack do the police work and Paul orders her to leave! He falls asleep and dreams that he finds Meg - dead! He wakes and convinces himself it was only a dream.
Bonnie, Vienna and Henry return to the police department to give their statements to Dallas. They all agree not to press charges against Derek. Henry and Vienna leave. Dallas asks why Bonnie coerced them into giving fake statements. Bonnie says she has everything under control and leaves. Jack and Carly arrive to show Dallas the sketch. Jack believes Meg is on Swan Island off the coast of Maine. Dallas agrees to call in some favors to see if anyone in Maine recognizes the property. Carly turns to leave and Jack offers to take her. Carly says, "G-man, be careful out there."
Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!
Jack stops by Carly's to tell her about his freelance gig. She bugs him until he tells her that James kidnapped Meg; Jack swears her to secrecy but asks if she can take the kids for a while. She agrees. Jack asks her to talk to Janet for him because he has to leave quickly; Carly immediately objects but Jack convinces her to do it.
Alison and Aaron wake up, still talking about babies. They go downstairs and leave for their days. Emma and Janet are talking about cooking when Mike arrives to tell her that work can begin at the job site soon. Emma stuns him when she says she is calling off the project! He tries to talk her out of it but Emma is determined. Carly arrives and takes Janet outside. Janet is annoyed that Jack didn't even call and storms off to find him. Emma calls out and Carly says things are fine. She turns to go as Holden and Lily walk in looking very chummy. Holden follows Carly out and asks if they can talk. Carly says she knows what is going on and is fine with it. He says Ethan's ordeal made them both see things more clearly. Carly asks what happens when the drama is over.
Janet goes to Carly's and says she has won! She says she can't fight the connection and when Carly says their connection is over Janet won't listen. Carly tells Janet to take whatever Jack has to offer. Janet asks why Carly isn't fighting for him and walks out.
Rescue My Son!
Jack takes Carly to the farm and they find Janet inside cooking for the family. This upsets Carly. She goes outside and Jack follows. He asks what is really wrong. She says she should be the one supporting Lily but she can't; she says Lily and Holden need each other but won't admit it. Jack asks if she is really talking about Lily and Holden. Carly insists that she is. They sit on the porch. Jack says Lily and Holden have to find their way back to one another and they can't rely on the situation with Ethan to heal their wounds. Jack asks what happens to her if Holden goes back to Lily. She says she's ready to move on and find a love of her own. Janet listens to them through the window. Carly turns, sees her and tells Jack to go to his girlfriend. He gives her the car keys but asks again if she is okay. Carly says she is fine and tells him to give Janet another chance. Jack says he isn't sure about relationships because he doesn't know who he is without his badge. Carly says Janet can help him figure it out if he'll allow it. She runs into Holden and Faith on the way out. Faith hesitates at the door; Carly goes inside for blankets. When they are alone Faith asks if Ethan is going to die and blames herself again. Holden tells her none of this is her fault. Faith asks why he is so mad at Mike. Holden tries to explain his jealousy but can't. Faith asks him to stop hating Mike because Mike makes Lily happy. She goes inside. Carly returns with the blankets and asks what she can do. Holden tells her he is selfish and the only reason he went into the hole is so Mike couldn't. Carly says that is territorial not selfish. She tells him to go to Lily and make her as comfortable as he can at the work site.
Holden returns to the work site with blankets, mats and a tent so Lily can sleep. Mike comes over with a map that will lead them into the hole safely. Holden wants to go immediately but Mike says they still have to wait for the right equipment. Paul listens to him explain the situation. Mike puts the paper away; Holden follows, thanking him for helping to save Ethan. When they leave the table, Paul grabs the map and hides again. Lily calls out because she can hear Ethan again. He is snoring. She hugs Holden. Carly arrives with food. Carly takes some to Lily and Holden but they are having a close moment so she doesn't disturb them. With everyone away from the hole, Paul approaches the area. He goes into the hole and reaches the bottom. He turns on a flashlight and finds Ethan sleeping in the corner. He wakes the kiddo and gives him water. Ethan falls asleep again. Paul looks around and sees the corner of a box in the dirt. He digs and opens it but the box is empty!
Carly returns home, alone. She looks around the empty home and then goes upstairs.
Weighed Down!
At the construction site, Carly tells Janet to give Jack some space and take her actions down a notch or she'll drive Jack away. Holden is ready to go down in the hole. Carly tells him to be careful and Lily gives him Ethan's favorite blanket. Holden is lowered inside but then the harness collapses! Jack and Mike try to catch him but they can't. Lily screams for Holden but he doesn't answer. Jack demands another harness and won't listen when Mike tells him to stop. Holden finally calls up that he is okay but he can't find Ethan. Mike and Jack rig themselves up and go into the hole. They reach Holden and drag him to the surface. He is taken to the hospital. Lily asks when they can try again. Mike says they are going to have to dig a parallel tunnel to reach him. Janet suggests sending something familiar and Lily tells her about his backpack. She leaves to get it. Carly hears them and asks Mike to wait until she returns. He tells her to hurry. Lily tries talking to Ethan but he won't answer her. Lucinda tries to distract her with a walk, saying Lily needs a break. Lily breaks down in tears. Lucinda says things will be okay because she is strong and so is Ethan. Carly returns but is too late because the care package has been sent. Mike looks at the microphone she brought and says they'll try sending it down, too. Carly asks him not to tell Lily this was her idea; he agrees.
Lily hears chattering over the microphone system and excitedly asks how he thought of this. Mike shrugs off the questions. Holden returns to the construction site and realizes Carly must have come up with the idea. He asks and she admits it was her idea but begs him not to tell Lily.
