Carly continues CPR until Jack splutters up some lake water. She says this whole thing was a set-up and that Meg is on another island. Jack is bleeding badly from a hand wound but says they have to go now.
Jack and Carly finally arrive at the right island and find the cottage. They are investigating when Jack realizes something is off. He tells Carly to stay there and goes to another room. James hits him and knocks him out. Carly screams and a thug knocks her out! They put Jack and Carly on a rowboat and set it adrift! Carly wakes first. She tries to figure out where they are but can't find any landmarks. Jack tries to rest. He is still losing a lot of blood from the wound in his hand. Carly uses her bandanna to staunch the flow of blood. Jack says she has always made his life better. He gets emotional and apologizes for being so judgmental about her actions. Tired, Jack closes his eyes. Carly sees land and wakes him up.
Carly and Jack make it to shore; she contacts Dallas who tells her that Meg is safe but James is dead. She relays the information to Jack, who wants to go to Meg. Carly says he has to take care of himself first.
Lost and Found and Lost Again!
Carly arrives at Metro and Bonnie tells her about Derek's disappearing act. She convinces Carly to call Jack. They brainstorm a little more and decide to see if there are any clues at Fairwinds since that is where James has been staying.
Jack arrives at the police station. Dallas tells him about Brad's confession and says they are still determining charges; Jack says they should believe Brad when he says it wasn't intentional. Then, he asks about Meg. Just then, Meg texts him! Carly calls and tells him about Derek's disappearance; Jack says he has to concentrate on Meg. He leaves for the island Meg texted him about.
Carly and Bonnie find Derek at Fairwinds! He tells them everything including Meg's real location. Carly doesn't believe him and tells him about the text; Derek says that is part of James' plan - to cause a distraction so he can get Meg out of the country! Carly calls Jack to warn him but he doesn't answer; she leaves a message. Bonnie calls Dallas for help.
Jack gets to the island from the text; two fishermen offer to show him around! They don't find anything. Jack asks about another island he sees and one of the guys attacks him! Carly screams for help but the men toss Jack overboard and he sinks. Carly jumps in after him. Jack's body finally surfaces and Carly manages to get him to shore where he regains consciousness. Jack sees the bad guys and hides Carly until they are past. Jack passes out and Carly starts CPR. "Please don't die on me," she says.
Dusty's Alive!
Holden and Lily are having lunch with the kids at Al's when he sees Carly and bolts out the door. Holden tries to talk to Carly about his second chance with Lily but she won't listen. She tells him to go back to his wife and stop dragging her into their life. She walks off. Holden returns to Lily, who asks if he really wants to be with her. He swears he does. They take the kids home.
Carly calls Jack for an update but he doesn't know much. She asks if James is really involved; Jack is certain he is. He asks what is going on with her. Carly says she has a sandwich waiting and hangs up. She starts to make lunch but then throws everything in the trash. Lily stops by and asks if they can talk. She thanks Carly for helping during Ethan's ordeal; Carly says Lily would have done the same but Lily says she wouldn't. She says this doesn't change anything between them; Carly knows but says she misses Lily and wants to make things right. "Stay far away from me and my family," Lily says. Carly agrees. Lily brings up Holden and how hard it is for him to let her go. She leaves. Carly is alone when Jack stops by. He updates her but says there is no news. He says he came by because she sounded upset on the phone. Carly tells her about Lily's visit. Jack says she should have expected it. Carly wonders why everyone can forgive Holden but no one can forgive her. Jack says Lily is just trying to get her life back together. Carly says both he and Lily are right but she still feels unsettled. "I lost my chance at a new life," she whispers. She says Holden wasn't a great love for her but he was a second chance. Then, she says Jack is the best man she has ever known and that he made her a better woman. She asks why no one can forgive her mistakes but other's mistakes are forgotten.
And Behind Door Number Three...
Jack stops by Carly's to update her. She brings up Janet's visit and tells Jack not to ruin things this time. She says Janet is a good woman and he would be lucky to have her. He falls asleep on the sofa. Paul calls and tells him about the vision. Jack asks Carly if he can use her shower and goes upstairs. Jack asks Carly to come along so she can help with a sketch. She agrees.
