You Want A Fight, You've Got One!

Carly goes to the police station to see Jack. She says Sage was afraid to go to school because of Janet; Jack is flippant and asks why Janet would be at Sage's school. He says Sage needs to talk to a therapist about her lies. Carly gets angry and says Jack is the one who needs therapy. She says Sage wouldn't lie to her but Jack disagrees. He reminds her of the Halloween prank; she says Parker put Sage up to it! He turns to leave and Carly says he can't see Sage anymore unless Janet is not around! Jack refuses and suggests that Carly put Sage up to the Halloween prank! "I wonder where she gets it," he says. Carly storms out. Jack follows her and tries to talk to her but Carly won't listen.

Bonnie is at Metro when Carly arrives. She sees how distracted Carly is and asks if she can help. Carly tells her about Janet slapping Sage; she says Jack doesn't believe their kid. Bonnie says he'll come around. She asks for legal advice on how to keep Janet away from the kids. Bonnie says she would have to convince a judge that Janet is a danger to Sage. "Could you help me do that?" Carly asks but Bonnie says she isn't a lawyer anymore. Carly begs her. Bonnie asks if Carly is certain and she says she is. Bonnie says it could backfire and Carly could lose custody; she says she'll also have to face Jack. Carly says Jack started this but she is going to finish it! Bonnie returns a while later with the papers to start the action but tries to talk Carly out of going forward. Carly says she isn't jealous and isn't mad at Jack, she just wants to protect Sage. Bonnie says if she goes through with it, it will change her life forever.

Carly stops by Janet's and gives Jack the court papers! "You've been served," she says! Jack can't believe what she has done. She says Sage is in danger and she has found a judge who believes them. Janet begs her not to do this and says she would never hurt Sage. Jack says Sage only needs protection from Carly! "You want a fight, you got one," he says! Janet tries to calm the situation down but Carly insists she isn't doing this to get Jack back. "Really?" Janet asks sarcastically. Jack brings up Simon and all of Carly's other past deeds; he says she has no chance in court and will lose the kids! Carly says he is bluffing; he says he isn't. Carly leaves. Jack turns to Janet and she says he is wrong – and they are all going to lose! He says Carly is playing both sides against the middle so that she gets her way; Janet says his kids won't forgive him for this. She says they have to call off the wedding! "I will not be the reason you lose your children," she says. She tells him to leave but Jack won't go. She cries and he says he will fix this so they can still get married.

Carly returns to Metro and Bonnie knows immediately that things didn't go well. Bonnie says this is about Janet as much as the kids for Jack; she says if Jack is going to fight hard, Carly has to fight the same way. Bonnie says she will rip Jack to shreds but Carly has to be positive that Sage isn't lying. Carly says Sage is definitely telling the truth.

Locked In A Closet!

Jack arrives at Carly's to pick up Sage; as he waits, Carly tells him a little bit about her fight with Janet. Sage arrives and Jack sends her to the car. Then, he tells Carly that she owes Janet an apology! Carly angrily says Janet deserves nothing from her; he says Carly apologizing is going to help Sage move on. Sage comes back in, wondering what is going on. Jack says he'll be right out. "Think about it," he says to Carly. He leaves and Carly says she'll never apologize!

Jack takes Sage to the farm so they can ride. He talks about Janet and Sage says she doesn't like candied apples when Jack mentions Janet's plans to make some. He says Sage isn't giving Janet a fair shake and makes her listen to him. He says he loves Janet and she is going to be part of their family. "Today is just supposed to be about us," Sage says, upset. Janet arrives with brownies; Sage doesn't like it and walks out. Jack and Janet laugh about Sage's actions. Jack is called to the police station as Sage returns. He promises he'll be right back but Sage is upset and tells him to take her home. Janet offers to watch out for Sage, which Sage objects to, but Jack leaves anyway. "Oh, I can't wait until she's 16," Jack says. Once he is gone, Janet offers Sage a brownie but she won't speak to Janet. Janet keeps talking about her world-famous peanut butter brownies so Sage says she is allergic. Janet tries to get Sage interested in a game and Sage tells her where to find them. Once Janet is in the game closet Sage locks her in! Sage offers to let Janet out if she promises not to marry Jack! Janet tries to reason with Sage but Sage won't be swayed. Angry, Janet says if Sage were her child, she would be spanked! Sage leaves. Janet hears the door close and apologizes. Outside, Sage smacks herself and then calls Carly, crying. She says Janet hit her! Carly arrives and rushes to Sage's side; Janet tells her to let her out. Sage says she locked Janet in the closet so she wouldn't hit her any more. Janet hears and says she didn't hit anyone. Carly sends Sage to the car and then rages at Janet about hitting Sage. She leaves Janet locked in the closet!

Carly walks into the police station and demands that Jack arrest Janet for child abuse! Jack looks at Sage's face and sees the red markings. She tells him that Janet hit her because she wouldn't play games. Jack questions her but Carly angrily tells him to leave their daughter alone. Jack backs off; Carly says Janet is locked in a closet and says she is a liar!

Carly takes Sage home and makes her cocoa. Sage asks if they are in trouble; Jack and Janet arrive and Carly goes on the attack. She and Janet argue and Carly tells Jack that Janet believes Carly is pushing the kids into disliking her. Parker and Liberty arrive. Jack sends Sage to her room and tells both women to calm down. He sides with Janet; Parker can't believe what Janet is being accused of. Carly says Janet is out of control; Janet says Sage is out of control. Janet says she's never hit anyone but Parker says that isn't true! He tries to backtrack but Janet says it is okay to tell them. Janet sadly says she once hit Liberty, which cements Carly's case. "What kind of mother are you?" she asks. Janet says she was hit as a kid and she, in turn, hit Liberty. She says she has changed and swears she didn't hit Sage but Carly refuses to believe her. Jack takes Janet out. Liberty says she made Janet hit her by acting out but Parker says Liberty's actions don't justify Janet hitting her. Liberty says Janet would never hit Sage but Parker doesn't believe her. She holds his hand and thanks him for not making things even worse. Carly asks Sage what really happened. Sage says Janet hit her. Carly hugs her and Sage grins.

Why Don't You Leave Him Alone?

Liberty arrives at Parker's and rings the bell. Carly makes Parker get the door. Libs asks if he is trying to ruin things between Jack and Janet! He says he didn't have anything to do with it but she doesn't believe him and says she knows Sage didn't come up with the trick-or-treating idea all on her own. He asks her to stay and study but she says she doesn't want to be around him and leaves. Parker goes back inside; Carly has been listening and asks if Liberty is right! Carly demands an answer. Parker says she shouldn't care what he did because she doesn't want Jack to marry Janet either! She sits down with Parker and admits she isn't crazy about the idea but says that is no reason for Parker to sabotage Jack so that he can date Liberty! Parker storms out. Janet arrives and says she knows what happened. Carly apologizes for what the kids did. "Oh, but they were just doing what their momma asked them to," Janet accuses! Carly says she did no such thing and then accuses Janet of dumping Sage for her ex! Janet can't believe it but Carly just keeps pushing, telling Janet that she isn't good enough for Jack! Janet realizes that Carly has been acting like her friend all along so that she would know what was really going on with Jack. Janet says she and Jack will get married when they want and tells her let go – for good! She storms out. "Charming," Carly says.

Lily runs into Carly in Old Town. Carly tells her about Janet and Jack and Janet's accusations. Lily asks if Janet is completely wrong; Carly insists she didn't use their friendship to keep tabs on Jack. She decides to go find Jack but Lily convinces her to stay away from Jack and come with her instead. "If you're not careful, I might start to think we're friends again," Carly says.
