Light My Fire.

Friday, September 12 2008

Carly arrives at the station and tells Jack she is worried about him and wants him to confide in her. He refuses to open up. Carly convinces him to go away with her. They go to Yo's and Carly tells him she knows that Brad is guilty and that he is protecting him. Jack is unable to tell her she is wrong. Carly wants to know why he would risk everything for his brother but he would not for his son. Jack tries to justify what he did, but Carly explains that he can't keep it up because he will not be able to live with himself if he does not do the right thing. Jack decides to confess and Carly happily offers to keep him company.

At the Snyder farm, Janet gives Brad the evidence. He lights it on fire. As it is burning, Jack and Carly arrive asking for the evidence. Janet tells him it is too late. Brad asserts they did it for him. Jack realizes they burned the evidence. Brad claims Jack was going to stab him in the back, but Carly orders him to shut up. A red-faced Jack asks Janet why she defied his trust to hold onto the papers and leaves.

On the patio, Carly asks Jack what he is going to do, as Jack wearily admits there is only one thing he can do. After he leaves, Janet tells Carly she did this on purpose because Jack did this to help her. Carly claims this is about Jack and what he needs. Janet asks if she is the authority on that and Carly retorts that she is.

Escape Plans...

Thursday, September 11 2008

Carly takes Sage home. She is chattering about the wedding and how nice it would be if Carly and Jack got back together. Carly says that won't happen but then thinks about the kiss. She remembers that Jack didn't sign Sage's field trip form and decides to go see him.

At the police station, Jack avoids Margo and Dallas's questions about the missing file. Carly walks in and hears Jack say he doesn't care what happened to Leo! Margo says it better matter because a crime was committed. She orders him to find the evidence and close the case. Carly approaches and asks what is going on. Jack won't answer. Frustrated, Carly tries to get him to talk about their kiss but he won't talk about that either. She asks him to sign Sage's permission slip and leaves.

Carly goes to Brad and Katie's, saying something is wrong with Jack and asks what it is! Brad and Katie pretend not to know anything. Brad tells Carly that since she's not married to Jack she should just leave him alone. She storms out, saying she's going to get to the bottom of this. Katie is very worried. Brad says Jack can keep a secret like nobody else. Katie still thinks they pulled him into this against his will. Brad finally admits that he was being selfish but says he'd do it again! Katie leaves. Margo stops by a few minutes later and asks to see Liberty. Brad holds her off at the door, saying Liberty isn't up for it. Margo wonders why he is being so stubborn.

Jack goes to Al's where Janet is waiting. He says the call was about the missing evidence. He is obviously torn about what to do. Janet says he didn't lie since he technically doesn't know what she did with the evidence but that doesn't make him feel better. Janet tries to convince him not to do anything rash but he leaves. Carly overhears and asks if she and Janet can talk. Janet tries to blow her off but Carly pushes the issue. Janet says Jack is just tired and overworked between the farm and the police force. Carly begs her for answers, saying Jack can't break his honesty code without ruining their relationship. "I know the signs, I see them now," Carly says. Janet insists they are different. Carly leaves and Janet begins to doubt her actions.

Holden walks away and sees Carly, who is delivering Sage to the nuptials. Sage wants Carly to stay but Carly says it wouldn't be right. Sage picks a magic flower for Carly and says it will lead to her true love. She leaves to find the other girls. Holden approaches and asks Carly to stay. She refuses. Mike, Emma and Lily approach. Holden says Carly is staying but she says she can't and leaves. Everyone takes their seats. Meg and Paul arrive. Emma is excited to see them, especially when Meg says she is feeling good. Paul asks Jack how long this will last. Jack wonders why he is asking.

Jack runs into Carly at the pond. She apologizes for screwing things up this time; he says she'll be okay. Carly says Janet is good for him and that he deserves to be happy.
