Molly is at her place watching the news report about her almost being killed by the congressman. She's surprised when Holden shows up at her door. "It's been a long time," he says. She hugs him and apologizes for not making it to his last funeral. They talk about her scandal and she worries that Abigail will be disappointed in her. She appreciates him coming but it wasn't necessary. He asks her to come back to Oakdale with him. Molly thinks she burned too many bridges there. Holden tells her about Lily marrying Damian and assures her that everyone will be glad to see her. He finally talks her into packing up and going back to town with him.
They go out for something to eat on the way to Oakdale. She tells him the details of the affair. He assures her that the congressman was the sleaze bag, not her. A random guy comes over and asks her if there are any naked pictures of her on the internet. Holden backs him off. Molly warns him that she has a lot of baggage. He thinks he can deal with that.
Holden and Molly drive back into town and she keeps worrying about Lily's reaction. He assures her he's glad she's coming home.
I Can't See Anything.
Holden gets to Lily's and sees Damian's bags. "If Damian is moving in, I'm moving the kids out," he announces. She claims that she is just trying to give the children a normal life and she accuses him of seeking revenge on her for marrying Damian. He refuses to let his children get caught in the crossfire. She threatens to fight him dollar for dollar if he goes for custody. After he leaves, Damian calls and tells her that Noah can't see.
Holden goes to the farm house and tells Meg that he and the kids are moving in. She tells him that neither of them wants Damian with Lily and he doesn't need to force the issue. He assumes she's made some sort of deal with Damian and angrily tells her that he won't allow this.
Lily runs into Holden in the hall. He gets a call and tells her he needs to leave town on personal business. When he gets back, he'll be taking back the kids. She goes back to Noah's room. Luke has finally talked him into the adoption. Luke vows to be wherever he is.
Emotional Bender.
In the hall, Damian tells Lily that they should adopt Noah so they can have power of attorney and call the shots. Meg and Holden come out to tell them how dire things are. Lily explains their plan to adopt Noah. He runs off to take care of this. Holden thinks that Luke deserves to be heard about this and they should wait. Luke comes out and tells Holden to back off.
Meg follows Damian down the hall and warns him how hard this adoption would be for everyone. She asks him what will happen if the truth comes out about how he married Lily under false pretenses and brings up Officer Grady. He accuses her of trying to stop him from moving in with Lily. He thinks she is being petty. He returns to Luke and tells him the paperwork will be there soon. Bob comes back and says that the window of opportunity is closing. Damian explains that they are adopting Noah and gives their consent. Bob agrees to give the go ahead on the surgery.
That Was Fun.
On the set, Noah and Luke bicker as Noah tries to set up the fireworks. They blow up in his face and he falls to the ground. Luke calls an ambulance. The EMT arrives and so does Holden.
They rush Noah to the hospital. A nurse asks them for Noah's insurance. Luke admits to his father that he doesn't even know if he has insurance.
Down the corridor, Lily thanks Holden for calling her. He tells her that Damian is responsible for all of this. He explains what happened and she insists that Damian was only trying to help. Holden says this is just another reason why he doesn't want 'that man' around his kids. When Damian walks over to them, the two men begin lashing out at each other and Holden throws the blame for everything at Damian.
