Tom and Margo are getting Daniel settled at the house when Emily calls to check in. Daniel is excited to see her and invites her over; Tom approves but Margo thinks this is a bad idea because Casey is coming home soon. Tom says they can't keep Emily away from Daniel just because Casey and Emily broke things off. Emily arrives a few minutes later with video games for Daniel. He goes upstairs to play and Tom suggests that Emily leave so they can get ready for their family dinner. Emily and Margo exchange barbs about family; Casey arrives – with Alison! The sisters are shocked to see one another. Casey says he invited Alison because she's been helping him figure out his future. Daniel comes back downstairs; he asks if Emily can stay for dinner, too. "Oh, sure, the more the merrier," Margo says. Emily gets snarky with Alison about her job help. Casey finally comes clean and tells them he was expelled. Alison says there are other schools; Emily continues her snarky comments to her sister until Tom says they need time to talk. Emily takes Daniel upstairs but Allie stays with Casey. Allie asks them to listen to Casey because his heart was in the right place. They listen but neither understands Casey's actions. Margo and Alison go into the kitchen; Alison says Casey's heart really was in the right place and if they will stand by him now, he can get through this. She turns to go but Margo asks her to stay.
Outside the door, Tom gets quiet. Casey tells him to say anything but Tom isn't sure where to start. "You've been given one second chance after another and you just throw them away," he says angrily. Casey says he doesn't care what the future holds as long as he doesn't wind up a suit like Tom! Tom goes back inside and runs into Emily; he blames her for Casey! She says this has nothing to do with her. "His problems started way before he was with me," Emily says. Tom says seducing a kid isn't a plus; she storms out and runs into Casey. He asks why she cares about his education; she says she cares about him. "Why? Did Dusty dump you again?" Casey asks. Emily says she realizes she made a mistake – and kisses him! Alison sees them. She angrily says they are acting badly and turns to go back inside. Casey asks Emily to leave! She goes inside to get her things. Casey tells Alison that Emily started it but he doesn't know why – and he doesn't care why! Margo calls them to dinner. Tom resets the kitchen table because Kim and Bob have begged off from dinner because the soup kitchen is packed. Margo says Casey's actions weren't that bad when compared to the problems of the homeless. Emily says she isn't staying. Casey, Alison, Tom, Margo and Daniel sit down to dinner. Casey apologizes for going off on his dad. Tom and Margo offer prayers of thanks for their family. "As long as we've got each other, we have everything we need," Margo says and they eat. Emily watches through the window, crying.
Brad and Katie arrive at the police station and tell Margo about seeing Spencer. They show her the picture of the area where Brad saw Spencer but Margo says it doesn't matter because she can't launch an investigation in Chicago. She goes to check something out. Katie is worried about the mysterious emails. Margo returns and questions why they were in Chicago; they tell her about the job interviews. She believes Brad imagined seeing Spencer but he insists it was Spencer. She says the medical examiner would have noticed if he performed an autopsy on a dead body. Katie says she didn't see Spencer. Brad asks if she doubts him; she admits she does. Brad swears that the woman he saw was Spencer. Margo tells Brad there is no way he saw Spencer. "I'm going to find her and bring her back here," he says and hurries out. Margo tells Katie it is time to come clean. She asks what Katie knows that she isn't telling! Katie clams up and leaves. Dani returns, asks what is going on and Margo says it doesn't matter.
Henry and Vienna are about to make love – complete with police costumes – when Margo walks in and destroys the mood. She accuses them of stealing Spencer's body! She throws a robe at Vienna and begins searching the room anyway; Margo says Brad is free, which thrills Henry and Vienna. Margo sends Vienna into the bathroom and questions Henry. He swears he didn't do anything wrong. After Margo searches the room, Henry asks if she is satisfied that she hasn't found any dead bodies. Margo decides this is a clue and takes them to the police department. Henry and Vienna start talking about their jailhouse fantasies, weirding Margo out. Henry gets dressed in the bathroom and calls Katie; he tells her about Margo and says they have to meet. Katie asks if he sent the email but he hangs up.
At the police station, Brad tells Tom he didn't kill Spencer and asks when the bail hearing will be. Tom goes to Margo but she says she won't let Brad out on bail because he is guilty. Tom says Margo isn't in charge; she says the judge will never let bail be set because of Brad's involvement in Henry and Katie's search of Spencer's room. Tom tells her not to tell the judge and she becomes livid. Jack arrives with Janet and convinces Margo to let him see Brad.
Jack goes into the interrogation room. Brad says he didn't kill Spencer and asks if Jack believes in him. Jack isn't sure what to say. He goes to the outer office and tells Janet to go in; Margo allows it. Jack asks Margo if he can look at the evidence but she immediately refuses. Tom backs up Jack. He and Margo argue. Dani interrupts to give her a copy of the coroner's report; Tom grabs for it. He says he wants to have his own medical examiner look at the body; Margo takes him to the morgue. Dani follows.
At the morgue, Tom asks if Margo wants Brad in jail. Margo says she doesn't but insists that Brad seems guilty. Dani interrupts their arguing by going inside; she calls out and they go inside. Spencer's body is gone! "Corpses don't disappear. Go find the body," Margo orders and Dani runs out.
Margo and Tom come back to the interrogation room. Margo asks Brad if he is responsible for Spencer's disappearing corpse. Brad is shocked. Dani barges in and says Spencer's body is nowhere in the building. Jack comes in and tells her that all of the other evidence against Brad has disappeared, too. Brad doesn't know anything. Tom says she has to release him now!
Liberty arrives at the police station and an officer tells her to leave it on Jack's desk. Brad is brought out of holding in handcuffs! Brad tells her about the charges but swears he is innocent. Liberty is freaked out and wants to talk to Janet. Brad tells her again that he is innocent and she hugs him. Margo comes into the room to take Brad to a holding cell. Libs turns on Margo, asking how she can do this to her family! "Why are you treating him like a criminal?" Liberty asks. Brad says Margo is doing her job and Liberty starts to cry. She hugs him again. Brad asks her to take care of Katie and Janet for him and kisses her goodbye.
Dani escorts Henry and Katie to the police station. Margo can't believe what they did and tells them that she doesn't need their help! Henry says they might have found evidence proving Brad's innocence if Dani wouldn't have butted in. Margo calls an officer to search Henry for evidence and the officer takes him away. Katie turns on Margo, who says this is not her fault – it is Brad's! Brad is brought back out and says this was all his idea. Margo knows it isn't but Brad insists so she doesn't place any charges on Henry or Katie. Brad is taken back to interrogation; Margo sends Katie in. She warns Henry to stop and he swears this is the end of his investigation. Margo watches as Brad kisses Katie. She pushes him away and says she's still mad. He tells her to stop looking into Spencer's case and tells him about Liberty coming by. Katie says they will get him through all of this.
