is carly gone for good now. well i know that it is a long time away but i cant wait til she gets back. she was just starting to get really good and starting to be my fav. well hopefully she doesnt take long on maternity leave. i hope that she is not gone more than a year. Anybody agree with me

I don't want her gone at all!!! LOL. But I know she has to, I hope maybe only a year. MAYBE LESS?!

I love Maura West and I hope she has a healthy baby! As far as the character, she should have thought about her children before she ever decided to commit the crime. I love this character. She is definitely flawed but has rooting value! I, too, hope she's not gone too long!

i like carly also, yesterdays show was a tough one, carly with the children. Carly is definitely a flawed character but she would be the first to admit this. it was just so sad to see those little children and their mother. My heart went out to her yesterday.

I was in tears when Parker asked her what she did now. I love the actress as well as the character, but this time she is going to have to pay. Jack always bails her out but he can't now!

I like carly too I just want her back with Jack they belong toghter.. Please get rid of Simon

CARLY IS TOTOALLY ONE OF THE BEST CHARACTERS. I HOPE THAT SHE HAS A HEALTHY BABY BUT COMES BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. CANT WAIT TIL SHE GETS BAC ITS JUST UN FORUTINATE THAT HER EXIT IS GOIN TO JAIL. WELL I HOPE WEN SHE COMES BACK THAT SHE HAS A BETTER HEAD ON HER SHOULDERS

When Carly and Jack were together I liked them as a couple. However, the new pairing of Carly with Simon is genius! They've taken two complicated, flawed people, both with troubled pasts, and had them find in each other something they've never had in past relationships. Acceptance, recognition of who they really are, warts and all, and not want or expect the other to change. Jack truly loved Carly but he had a difficult time with her in that regard. Jack needed Carly to change and when she inevitably couldn't, he left her. With Simon she found someone who, to quote Bridget Jones, " loved her just as she was". Don't we all want that? Carly felt the constant pressure of living with someone who she didn't want to disappoint, but knew deep down she always would. She and Simon like to live on the edge and are much better suited to each other.

In my humble oppinion, the Carley character is to ATWT what Reeva is to GL. I love both characters.

I love Carly, but I think the writer have taken her too far. They have made her choose a man over her children - that's the bottom line. It has nothing to do with love. If she were a foot-loose, fancy free woman - that would be one thing, but please let's not forget she has three children that she herself has declared she loves. So, why intentionally go to jail and deny yourself your children. It's a simple choice - her man over her children and she choose her man and I cannot respect any woman doing that. In fact, I hope she loses her children. How would you feel if you were a child knowing your mom would rather spend time in jail rather than staying with you? That's horrible. At this rate, if her children never had a kind word to say to her ever again, they would be justified. I know this is a storyline and she had to be written out, but it seems like there could have been a different way to accomplish that goal. for crying out loud, the woman had 3 children that never saw her because she spent her time chasing Simon and being with him, now she's going to jail for the man. Please, how do I feel about Carly - I think she's a big fool.

I think she'll be gone around 6 weeks, thats not to bad. She deserves time off, she should soak in every bit of time she has with her percious baby. Let me be the first to say "Congraulations Maura" on your new baby. God Bless!!
Maybe Carly can move on when Simon leaves. She needs to be on her own for awhile "man-free". She'll land on her feet she's a strong woman.
