As the World Turns - MESSAGE BOARDS

I like ATWT better than any other soap currently on the air and I've watched it for a long time. My concern is that there are too many villains on the show lately. Jade, Emily (who teeters between good and bad), Paul, who is likeable in spite of it all, Craig, who should have never returned to Oakdale. He's just not appealing and never was. Gwen's Mother,and now Adam the most irritating of all. I really enjoy Will and Gwen but, with Adam in the mix it just doesn't fare well with me. He's a mean, unattractive trouble maker who really adds nothing to the show. Gwen's career just isn't interesting at all. You've had actors/actresses sing in the past & I find it as boring as courtroom scenes. Many of them are multi talented people,I agree but why include their respective talents on the show. This isn't American Idol. Let's see more of Casey & Maddy, Paul and Meg, who are dynamite together and Henry, the most entertaining character of all. Let's finally settle the Simon episode. The Carly and Simon duet just don't make sense. He's attractive but lacks substance. Have you met any jewel thief's lately? As for Katie, she's just a mess. She & Mike were a cute couple. I try to avoid all of her scenes. Why not bring back the excitment in the past. The segment involving Gwen & Will running away with the baby was great. One last comment, Carly & Lily's kids have grown over night. The jump in age is huge and very confusing, I never know who is who.

What kind of show would As the World Turns be without too many villains? A boring all-good-guy show? I don't think I would be interested in watching that kind...I love drama, and that's what soaps are...fiction mixed with funnyness...I love it. Gwen's mother's a hoot, and Barbara's the one who messes up more than anyone...she's so controlling, but it's good stuff...and as far as Jade is concerned, yes they can get rid of her....she's too much trouble.....
