I am all for people and there own choices. BUT I have a problem when i'm watching the show and my 5yr old comes out to see two men making out. He doesn't understand it and at 5 he shouldn't have to understand and it's not like the shows are on cable they are broadcast on local daytime tv. So I have had to not watch the show as much or be on my toes when I do so my son isn't subject to things he doesn't need to know about right now. For this reason I feel that the writers should refrain from having them make out on TV |

Do you explain to your son why people are getting shot on a weekly basis? Why a woman is sleeping with a man young enough to be her son? Why men and women and cheating on their husbands and wives? I could go on. |

And if you FEEL that you were born with hate...seek help, because you need more than we can offer you here on this board. Lastly, you said your mom was/is the most predjudice person you know...be thankful and grateful that you rose above her teachings of hate to some extent. because she was TEACHING you to hate, just as her parents probably did to her. |

I was really curious as to how you have come to that conclusion. I can only surmise now that you have nothing to back that statement up with and that is why you are refusing to answer. I can't believe that you couldn't come up with a way to express your feelings without staying within the guidelines, and if you stay within the guidelines there is no way you can be banned or edited. |

The epitome of compassion and acceptance????? So ATWT is more important to you than your kid? Sounds like it. Seems silly to me that love overrides actual SEX scenes....do you march him out of the room for that? Do you cover his eyes when people are murdered? Do you say anything when people are yelling at each other and slapping faces???? why don't you just put your kid outside or in a closet until your show is over so he doesn't have to see it. that way you can watch and your kid doesn't interrupt your show. |

Quote s0303: i've been reading on the boards all kinds of things regarding the luke/noah storyline, and about how God didn't create a man to be with a man, etc...and had to respond, unfortunately. i am a gay man. one of my first memories is finding a boy attractive in pre-kindergarten...yes, this is true. i didn't even know what being gay meant or even heard the word before, i just knew i thought boys were cute. it was just an instinct. how many people on this board sat down one day and made a conscious decision who they were attracted to, whether they were going to live a gay lifestyle or a straight one? my guess is no one. neither did i. it was just how i was, or how i was born (i'm sure a lot of people don't believe that) i don't know how or why it was me, i wish it hadn't been me. it's not easy to be a minority, someone who got picked on and spit at and beat up in school for who you were, it's just what happened. i didn't choose this. so, next time you feel the need to say that this story is disgusting, or that you think they shouldn't have these characters on the show, maybe you will remember there are real people who are gay and reading your posts and maybe think twice for once. and then go ahead and post if you still feel the need, for that will show how little compassion and lack of understanding you have...thank you for reading this. This is window dressing, he just inserted luke and noah storyline to attach it what he has to say to the show. The poster isn't even discussing luke and noah it's all about himself and his childhood, so by all means please close this thread because it serves no purpose except to provide a place for people to beat up on each other. It appears to be a one sided fight, with only one side being edited. I didn't know it was okay to call posters "incredibly ignorant" -- "morons " -- " I can't even argue it, you are so ignorant." I didn't know these terms could be used to address other posters but I'm glad to see the board has lightened up on the guidelines now I can cut loose with a few of my own comments. I'll leave it alone for now ........... but I will be back and next time I won't be so nice. |
